    I think the new Super Duke is just screaming out to be the basis for a new RC8, even if it's only a limited run.

    Good review Mike, I also looked on them as an interesting and now affordable alternative to some other sporting V twins. Bit of a torture rack for us old men though. The styling was a bit novel and aggressive for a lot of potential buyers, but like a lot of Ducatis that came after the 916, it's aged well and still looks "current". Keep it up. Time to shop a T shirt!

    Great video as usual. Personally, I think the bike looks stunning from all angles...except the front which I think is hideous. But I am sure it looks better in person.

      Front still looks a little awkwardly large in person, but the overall presence of the bike is amazing. Park right next to a beautiful new Panagali v4rs it was hard to say which was more eye catching.

    Great review Mike I very much enjoy your content. I recently acquired an RC8 and your review is bang on the money. like you I also have a Gilera saturno Bialbero 500 ) so I think we appreciate some of the same machines.

    I like your style, a very good, thoughtful review. I agree with all your points. My only criticism is that you devoted too much time to the problems of low speed running and not enough to the qualities of the bike doing what it was made for - going flat out. Nobody buys this bike to poodle through towns on! Best wishes from a chilly North Wales.

      Very true.
      But as with most bikes - especially V-Twins as it's an easy cheat to noise regs - it's a bit overgeared.
      I went 2 teeth up on the rear sprocket of my 2012 R, which makes traffic a bit easier.

    How'd it compare to your TNT? Power, comfort, handling? Love to hear how you describe the two compared?

      @MikesMachines  3 года назад +1

      Power, handling & braking are very comparable between the two. The v-twin has a bit more vibration down low though. A better comparison is between the TnT & Super Duke from the same era. They both feel very similar on the road to me. Comfort wise the Super Duke wins hands down over the TnT. It has a better seat and more compliant suspension. The TnT sits somewhere between the Duke and the RC8 for comfort.

      @@MikesMachines thanks for your feedback. Love your opinion more than the specs recitals. I had a amazonas which I loved and now ride an 1190r so it was a loaded question. Still longing for a guzzi one day!!

    Yamaha R1 or KTM RC8?

    • @StormHypermoto
      @StormHypermoto 2 года назад +1

      if you can get your hands on an RC8, there's nothing better than that. It's a collector's motorcycle now which is also an amazing track tool even based on todays standards. The variant sold in India was from the last gen which made 173 bhp and 123 NM with a Dry weight of 184 KG.
