'09 Silverado P0521 Oil Pressure Sensor

Replacing the oil pressure sensor on a 5.3L flex-fuel. The codes that scanned were P0521 and P0523. This repair fixed the issue.

I wouldn't cut it off. The vacuum line for the brake booster runs through it.

I’m ready to sell my truck ( 09 Sierra ) from that ridiculous stupid design.
Goes bad in below zero weather leaves you stranded. 8” overhang of fire wall makes getting the thing tons of fun.

I replaced one recently on a 2010 Sierra and the plug is different and we didn't realize it. Had to pull the intake manifold to get to it.

I can't get the plug off the position of it hard to access the part that you have to push in.

There is a possibility that it's a different style plug. You can always remove the intake manifold. It adds time onto the repair, but it's not difficult. Definitely agree that the plug is the hardest part though.

@@cpabrego Honestly not sure. You can use the replacement screen to find a matching bolt in your garage. The one I used was just a random one I found that fit.
