1981 I was 15 learning to play the Bass ( upright ) in school came across this album on wax. The whole album was just awesome. Not much radio play in Pittsburgh.
Love this song. Got their two lp's and played them again after watching this. A few years ago looking through a 2nd hand record shop I found the last linx lp which I did not know about. It had some remixes and american versions of a few songs. Great to have found it. Paul
What a great song! I haven't heard it in years. Takes me right back. I'd just got back to the UK from 9 months at sea: Lisbon, Galveston, Santos, Singapore, Europort. I was young, free and single, and the music was awesome. Now I'm old, married, and the music is crap. Funny, but that's what my parents used to say when they were listening to their Andy f**king Williams!
Musically this song is top notch, shame they didn't get the American exposure they deserved. Great sounds. Also this is probably Grants best performance, he is really swinging and rocking to the song.
Really? I liked the playing on this track when it came out (summer 1981 as the follow-up single to the number 5 hit Intuition) but I would never have guessed that.
Yes,and he's certainly energetic here! Titter ye not but I had the telly on BBC1 one Sunday very recently and Songs of Praise came on and there he was on it.
I remember my mother buying the single in 81,and I liked it then..........now I own it and the lp.both excellent.

Great band awesome lead singer. His voice is amazing. The music reminds me of Luther Vandross. The beat and bassline does.
A Linx gig was the second gig I ever went to and they were great!

great performance
A band that was way ahead of their time
Wow, I haven't heard this is over 20 years either! The lead singer reminds me of Junior. But Junior's voice is a bit higher.
Top Tune
David Grant has got a good voice

I came here because I just heard Roland Orzabol from Tears for Fears mention this song was his inspiration for "Everybody Wants to Rule the World".
Wow - that's a great story!
Ditto. Heard that on the "Comedy Bang Bang" podcast.

Tears for Fears are going to tour again, perhaps you can get a ticket.
f me, another one I haven't heard for 25 + yrs! We were spoilt back then..!
I can't find the lyrics to this anywhere on the internet.
For any of their songs, it is crazy
The lead singer is David Grant.

He looked completely different in 1983 when he launched his solo career. Unrecognisable in fact.
What ever happened to the Guitarist: Canute Edwards, he really could play that instrument.
