It never fails to make me smile how many people don't understand that "take it or leave it" is supposed to be a threat when you're bargaining from STRENGTH not when you're begging for a favour. I've only used "take it or leave it" 4 times in my life and it worked all 4 times. The reason it worked was because the other person was desperate to get rid of their goods and at least get SOMETHING for them.

The six pack thing is one of the worst things on the list to me. It is extremely unhealthy to not have a layer of fat over your abs(you have vital organs under there, come on!!). If you see an actor/actress or bodybuilder with visible abs, they are currently filming a role or in competition. They are also severely dehydrated and starving. Visible abs are one of the most unhealthy and unrealistic health/beauty standards the common person has latched onto. If people tried to maintain visible abs, they’d only live for (I believe) a few months.

One Christmas in the early '70's, we had snow still on the ground on Christmas morning, and after Christmas dinner (around 3:00) we went outside to take the traditional pictures - snow all gone, and not wearing coats! I personally wouldn't take a chance on an outside wedding in Oklahoma as you never know what it will be like!

i’m from oklahoma, and although december isn’t our coldest month, our weather ranges from 20-50 degrees fahrenheit. last december we had a huge snow and ice storm that kept us inside for a week. that lady is insane.

In (Dallas) Texas, we _often_ have 60-75 degree Christmas Days, actually. The freak snow storm was way colder than usual, but we do get quite cold and usually have at least one decent snow. BUT, it’s very rare that we get those cold, snowy days before at least January. Feb-March are by far our coldest months.
Last December here in Tennessee it was 70 degrees. It comes up and down so by the time Christmas came around it was hot in a sweater

There's nothing wrong with high standards. Everyone should have them. The thing to be careful of is if those standards are superficial. Of course you want to be attracted to the person you date/marry, but she isn't necessarily going to be a stacked, leggy blonde, with neck down alopecia, who really loves making home movies.

Tulsa, Oklahoma here. December is usually topping in the 50s and 60s. Admittedly our big freezes and snows hit in February or March but still. Usually rainy too
Yea, Texas had a snowstorm in February, at my house we had to melt snow to get usable water. We would use pitchers of water to flush the toilets. Schools were shut down, and we couldn’t take baths or showers for a hot minute. So yeah 70° in Oklahoma is a bit weird.

As a Texan I can confirm that 70 degrees, is completely normal in Dec... Dec of 2020 was actually in the 80s... R/Slash Texas winter doesn't usually come until Jan or Feb, and that is when the Horrible snow storm came thru... Our "winter" is usually other peoples spring hahaha
Dude, I was MOST impressed with the "good knives". I've got my own crock-pot, and a food processor. And I have "good knives." Good knives are a HUGE selling point for me. Somebody who used to live in Oklahoma here! Not accurate AT ALL. We moved a few years ago, and it was super fucking cold the day we moved in December. It didn't snow as much, but it's still cold as fuck. I think it was around 30-40 degrees that day? Could have been lower though, given wind chill. I dunno if it's still lacking in snow this year though, bc of the Texas snowstorm.
i dunno about OK, but we in texas (ive lived here fir 4 years) usually dont get alot of snow , in fact before the snowstorm, we didnt get snow for around two years just frost and freezing tempatures

Edit: Almost forgot. No it isn't usually 70 in Oklahoma in the winter it is in the 50s on average (don't live there looked it up) However that Texas snowstorm was a very very rare event normally it is around the 60s-70s there at the time of the storm
