Hi everyone! If you want to remove and replace the bases on your army, then this easy guide is for you! Warhammer: The Old World is here and many players want to put their armies on the new size bases.
It's not just for The Old World, though! Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000 players alike may want to give their old army a fresh look as well. So stay tuned and we'll cover a few different ways to go about easily and safely removing a base from a model.
I've started rebasing because I think the models look better when they fit on their bases, instead of having their feet poke over the edges. I'd been leaving my models on slotta bases to last, though, because I thought they would be the hardest, so this video was really helpful for that.
I agree the bigger bases look much better. Thanks for watching, i'm glad it was helpful!
I love the focus on the essentials of the hobby.
thanks! I'd like to have a good line of beginner/essential tips videos. If you have any ideas please let me know!
Excellent video Matt! I'm considering rebasing all my old WHFB armies after watching this instructional video. Keep up the good work.
Glad I could help, and thanks for watching!
You sit on a throne of lies.
Thanks, very pragmatic approach to the differing challenges of rebasing ....
Definitely a challenge, and time consuming too. Thanks for watching!
I'm never going to rebase my old fantasy armies because 1) I'm too lazy and 2) I'm actually more likely to play an older version of the game than the Old World version. I do however admire your dedication to rebasing all those figures. Best of luck. Cheers Mr. Matt.
a very fair point! Thanks for watching ;)
About to rebase 5 billion skaven, thanks for the tips!
That's a lot of work, good luck!
I should have watched this before rebasing some Ogre Bulls onto round bases to use in AoS :D thanks
Now at least you're prepared for the future! ;) Thanks for watching
I need tutorials to learn how to paint those dwarfs like that!
I can do that! I'll add some Dwarfs to the queue. Thanks for watching!
For the Warhammer the Old World i am going to go with Movement tray Converters. instead of re-basing 500+ Bretonnians, Dwarfs, Orcs and goblins.
great idea!
Good work! Can you solve my problem with 3d printed models on 3d printed bases that are so so very fragile. What should i do?😢
Were the models printed with the base attached? You might be out of luck there. 3D print resin is pretty unfriendly to work with. The models would likely shatter if you tried clipping off the base. I'd probably use movement tray converters and skip rebasing entirely.
@@MattsHobbyHour they are glued to the base. Yea I guess trays are they way for me. Thanks for the answer!
oh my god im a dingus for using greenstuff or miliput for filling out the slots in a miniature base...I could have been using paper all this time lol
We've all been there before! Now you can save some time and money.
I use adaptery, its easiest way😊
