    Mr. Ddembe was a 2019 winner of the Sandoz Healthcare Access Challenge, partook in the 2019 Global Entrepreneurship Summit, and was selected as Innovator of the Year at the 2020 CEO Forum in Uganda. Mr. Ddembe is a lawyer, entrepreneur, and innovator who, having borne witness to the difficulties accessing healthcare in his rural hometown in Uganda, was inspired to start MobiKlinic. With an app, mobile van clinics, and community health partners (CHPs), MobiKlinic helps to increase last-mile healthcare service delivery. This podcast discusses the current state of healthcare in Uganda, where the problems lie, and how MobiKlinic is working to address them. Mr. Ddembe provides his perspective on the need for innovation is last-mile healthcare service delivery and how MobiKlinic can scale to expand access.
