I picked up one of those "no-pros" that came with a water proof case. We used it to take videos of tropical fish and coral reefs on a trip to Hawaii several years ago. The videos were definitely low quality but for $30 we ended up with some nice memories.
Mine came with a case as well, but the video it takes is actually pretty good. Pretty much anything you may ever see on the The Broken Life channel that involves water, or was filmed in point-of-view, was recorded with it. The sound that it captures is _bad_ though. Oh well... Can't get it all for what it costs.
@@TheBrokenTech Now that you mention, my land videos were decent. The poor quality of the water videos may have been the combination of my movement as I swam and the movement of the fish with the tidal surge. Just too much for that little camera's brain. Still good enough for me at that price point.
@@bryans8656 I've never actually tried mine underwater, but it isn't motion stabilized. I could absolutely see it being an issue when used in that way. For what it's worth, the updated model (as of a few years ago) is stabilized.
