- The fences and construction you see throughout Corktown are a sign of development. For some who call Detroit's oldest neighborhood home, they say it's a sign to come together and preserve the neighborhood.
You can't have nothing but single family homes in Corktown, that lady is a little unrealistic.
That is what Millennials want.

There are some homeless folks at the Church on the corner of Michigan and Trumbull just hanging for the next meal from church.
The new boutique hotel and lofts next to homeless folks will make perfect combo between rich and poor.
Chris Webber's weed factory will turn Detroit from Motown to Weedtown.
Unless Detroit addresses the public school problem, they will not be able to attract single families. Detroit public schools was a one of many reasons families moved to the burbs.

Terrible use of land. Will go bankrupt within few years. The one big draw that required much hotel space was the auto show in January. Now that a gutted version is in the fall when other activities are available ot was a flop. They won't even reveal the low attendance numbers.
RIP Corktown. Place died years ago.
It did after Webber's weed factory is building up.
