The Z force tank was an amazing toy. I had one as a boy and loved it. The fact it was battery controlled and moved on its own, could change the direction and run over your enemies was always fun.

GI Joe was for me as a kid the ultimate toy. I loved it. My little brother and I had just gobs of them. We played with them for so long that when we got board with GI Joe we began to play Post nuclear apocalypse / Road warrior with all of the trucks and wheeled vehicles. I had no idea that many of the toys had been given the Lend Lease treatment to our brothers across the pond. This is a fantastic video. Its really interesting to see the two companies design and marketing choices with the vehicles and figures. The stories for the characters and how the toys interacted with one another. I have to say I like the Action Force camo and uniformity a little better than the Joe's which always were a polyglot of colors and patterns. Only much later did Hasbro decide to theme the figures and vehicles when they would do repaints of older toys. I like that look much better. Thank you for showing these.

I cannot thank you enough for this series as I had so much of this range and still have some in storage although heavily played with and the action force figures have lasted longer than the Gi joe ones. The action force range was just amazing

I had a Captain back in the day. My aunt had bought it on a swamp sale. The thought he was a star wars figure and I was quite puzzled when she gave it to me. I knew it was no star wars figure, but I added him to the collection and made him a kind of rebel commander.
It was always difficult to find him, when I was done playing in the backyard. His camo was to good :-D

Great finale to the Action Force series.
Its a good thing you took your time to properly & correctly present each segment, giving each section equal time.
I also appreciate that you've ALWAYS been Objective in ALL your videos.
Again, the British take on the New Shadows is superior to the way DDP ever did when they had the Joe license (no wonder Hasbro Disavowed their entire output).
The Z Force is essentially the 'open' military side of G.I. Joe & S.A.S. is the covert/spec ops arm.
Nice! Quarrel's a revised Scarlett. In G. I. Joe lore, the R.A.M. (RApid Fire Motorcycle) is strictly Rock 'n Roll's ride, just as the later Silver Mirage Turbo Motorcycle is Lady Jaye's.
The aborted Mobile Command Center seems better than the G. I. Joe version (which seemed based after a Star Wars Jawa Sandcrawler).
The one flaw of both the Joe and Action Force HQs was that it lacked rear wall panels.

Superb and glad I kept my collection.
I loved the attack cannon, a present from my dad when I was about 9 for having my back teeth removed under general anaesthetic! I remember buying it now from the Co-Op in Blackburn, still with a swollen mouth days later.
As a nine year old I always thought it was strange that Quarrel had a big face and didn’t wear a helmet when riding a bike.
Anyway, I was lucky enough to have a foot in the other camp as my cousin in Canada used to send me over GI Joe too.
Thanks for this series of brilliant videos.
I loved action force and this fantastic video series made me look fondly back and also discover some items I didn’t have/couldn’t afford/never saw in the shops (yes toy shops, remember those?).

i didnt stop playing with action figures until about 86 or 87 when i was a freshman or sophomore in high school, in 90 i graduated and immediately started collecting action figures when i stumbled onto a used collecting store in a local flea market. not knowing such shops were actually a thing i was instantly hooked when i saw nice condition examples of my favorite childhood figure that i had beat to hell and instantly wanted to replace them , as well as the opportunity to get the figured i had wanted as a child but didnt received. so for years all through the 90s every weekend i would go to the shop and check out what new inventory had come in, he always kept a large box of loose figures that you could dig through and get pretty cheap if you saw something you wanted. one day i was digging through it and found a pretty cool what i thought was some diving figure in all black that i didnt recognize at all and just assumed it was probably from one of those Remco knockoff lines. a few years later in about the mid 90s i was in his shop and saw the coolest looking red stormtrooper or something looking figure. i asked him what it was and he told me its a Red Shadow from Action Force, that was the first time i had ever seen a Red Shadow or heard of action force. i had to wait about another 5 years till i got my first computer in 2000 before i could finally look Action Force up and start learning about it, at which point i found out that black diver figure i had had all that time was an Action Force Squad Leader, and the mystery green soldier i had also found years earlier in that random loose figure box was an Action Force sapper figure. and then i learned about the awesome Quarrel repaint of one of my favorite Joes, and finally i earned about the totally cool looking Baron Iron blood and other bad guys and knew i needed them to go with my lone Red Shadow. so you dont need to convince me of anything, Action force are awesome.

But he’s super clean, no stress marks, paint wear, cracks and or breaks! Came in from Malta! He was definitely on my grail list for ages. I can check that box now. Great review! 😎👍🏽

Brilliant video! I've collected GI Joe for a long, long time and the Palitoy Action Force figures and vehicles are very intriguing and to me are the elite toys of the 80s. Very tough to collect though, the prices have skyrocketed in the past few years. That is one of the main reasons I stay away from that rabbit hole. Maybe one day I'll find an offer I can't refuse.

AMAZING! One of my favorite videos about toys on RUclips this year! I love how informative you are, Tony! The Palitoy Action Force sculpts are too often underrated! The proportions are very realistic, and well sculpted. The sculpting on the original 4" GI Joe toys are nowhere near as well done. I actually have a nice Quarrel figure in my GI Joe collection, but now I have to start collecting the others! Harder to find in the U.S., but part of the fun is the chase. :) Thanks for the most EXCELLENT video! This has been a fantastic series, Tony! Oh... and red grenades are cool as hell! lol! Great video series, Tony. And a great collection. What's particularly nice about it, is that when you watch each episode, each one takes time to go over every figure, vehicle and accessory, and each one ties into the series as a whole, while also working as a standalone video in it's own right. And you've made me want to complete my Action Force line up. I'm starting with the SAS, as they were always my favourite.
I did own Z-Force's Skip, though. He often did double duty as the Brigadier from Doctor Who, along with a Bespin Luke as the fifth Doctor, and a General Madine of the Rebel Alliance as The Master. Or Emperor Palatine as the decayed Master, and a Lego-built TARDIS, K9 and Daleks. Yeah, I was a kid sorely in need of a decent Doctor Who action figure series in the early 80s 😅

Excellent. Must have been hard work but enjoyable. The z force command centre must have been an amazing toy. Great video, thanks.
