- The Superveloce 800 is the new retro sportsbike from MV Agusta. Striking, well made and delivering an awesome three-cylinder soundtrack, is it more than just a re-styled F3 800? We sent Neevesy to find out.

What a bike! One of the most beautifully designed I’ve ever seen. Not over the top like some MVs, it’s tastefully done. Thinking of buying one
Word
Did you do it? I'm thinking of it too only adding the race pipe. Do you think that is a good idea $2,500 add on ?
@@gotojames No I bought an engagement ring instead. Unfortunately I just don't have the money but it's nice to dream :) My answer, yes buy the pipe if you have the money - go for it!
@@gotojames going to buy one now, patience payed off! 😎
@@JamchesterBoozlehow are you liking it so far? My 22 F3 Rosso had a starting issue that the dealer couldn’t fix
I love what they've done with the Superveloce 'tail tidy' to give an open rear.
every manufacturer will do this im sure
Who doesn't love an open rear
@@TheG60528XiJinPing hehehe
Possibly the greatest design out there today. The superbike market is becoming far too homogeneous, very little personality. This has it in spades
I wonder if that's why he is not a fan..? It's different and for me beautiful.
@@TheDavidMottram he's British so he's obligated to the thruxston rs
Yes, it's one of the greatest road bike design ever made.
In my opinion it’s simply stunning, a work of art!
I thought it was amazing when I first saw glossy pics but then I saw it in the flesh, and although the lines are great, it's looked really plastic and I was quite underwhelmed.
That screaming triple though
Turbo sewing machine :)
Wait till you hear the race pipe🤩
I think it's simply stunning.
The gold/champagne chassis and wheels remind me of the Ducati 916 from the nineties and it looks and sounds wonderful.
MV the classiest motorcycle company out there!!
@Marlon : What did you say ? classiest ? you funny boy. MV agusta put naked pros, titutes with big fake plastic breasts in their advertisements (superveloce 800 and brutale videos on their YT channel). They proved they represent the ugliest side of what can be a man in the way of seeing women. Mediocre guys directing this company. Their bikes look cool but they are full of defects (bad suspensions, etc) and randomly reliable.
@@lensoprezole5322 so its true, people really will get offended by anything these days 🙄😄
Lenso Prezole in other words perfect company got to get me one ! Definitely the classiest.
@@lensoprezole5322 really!do you own one MV 's.
Lenso Prezole Dude it’s art and art has incorporated nude females and males for a long time.
Beautiful! Love the styling! MV Agusta are wonderful with lots of horsepower with small light package.
If you buy an MV Agusta bike, you dont buy an performance bike, but you buy beautiful artistic and magnificent built quality bike
I purchased a 2024 superveloce less than a week ago. After I rode it home, it had the audacity to not want to start for me. Oh sure, it’s fancy screen tantalized me with its “ready to ride message” , but pressing the start button resulted in ..well..nothing. The dealership was very supportive , and dispatched a large specialized carry van to bring it back to the dealership. I was happy to see that there was a Panigale V4 also loaded in the van so I knew both bikes could keep each other each company on the journey back to the dealership. I envisioned them maybe participating in Italian opera sing alongs and debating which one of them was the prettiest bike on the road…or more technically, above the road since they were both being ferried. I will say that the superveloce ships with a fancy small wooden box with a letter from the CEO welcoming you to the MV agusta community and a brief history of the company's roots. On the flip side of the letter are dozens of signatures , presumably of all the workers who participated in bringing together this piece of “motorcycle art” . MV is truly motorcycle art , and like a good art piece , it should be admired and not actually touched. In this respect , MV Agusta has certainly achieved this distinction. I’m so glad I decided to hang onto my triumph Daytona , so at least I have one running sport bike.
Hopefully it is something that can be rectified in the near future , the warranty period is only 2 years and I hear that it can take a long time for parts to come from Italy. I did a winery tour in Tuscany a few years back and it only took 2 weeks to get wine shipped back to the U.S. so I am hopeful.
If you don't like how this bike looks you're wrong
Reminds me of the 999
It's sexy, but my dragster RR is better 😁
Derek Felan it’s not
What wrong is to tell people wrong on a subjective preference...... 😒
@@Eidrian111 Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Even if it's wrong 🤣.
Bin the tank strap and I love it 😻
Glad to see one of these tested at last. I liked the Zebedee analogy 😀
That bike in black / bronze... Oh. My. Gawwwwwwd....(Damn, need to clean off my keyboard... again.)
Never assume stock suspension settings are correct for you. Everyone is different and needs their own.
Yes I found that a strange thing to say. How can any manufacturer have a suspension set-up out of the factory that suits every rider?
I totally agree.
Plus, this most likely being a press bike, no telling who's messed with the settings.
Looks brilliant. Take note Ducati, this is what an Italian sportbike should look like.
I don’t agree with you. But that’s the beauty of design. Everyone have a different opinion.
As much as I love MV, I don’t think Ducati will be taking any notes with the number of machines they sell in comparison.
no.
Ducatis are beautifull, MV too, they have their own DNA
@@Mazoox500 yup. Just matters of who can see the beauty of it
What a beautiful bike. I do love how well they blended the modern with the retro. I am not a fan of the gold color, it is not horrible but not my thing. Anyhow, what a tastefully done machine! And I think this is the first production sport I have seen with bar end mirrors. Now I know the solution for the useless stock mirrors on my Daytona.
Stunning
Your review truly does justice for this exciting MV Agusta Superveloce 800 ! You have highlighted the most important aspects of this bike. Amazing footage and the sound of heaven! You are so correct that this bike has combined all features for the making of a super sport bike. What sports bike riders or any cycle rider are wanting from their bike: Satisfaction ! Great review !
wtf!as italian im proud to see such a piece of art on two wheels...i would buy it immediately! and this beauty would never be old..
But almost all Italian bikes are beautiful.
@@hugohugo2832 U re right ..almost.... unfortunately the last bimota are a really extraordinary exception....it's sad...

Piece of art, my dream bike!
Wow what a stunning looking motorcycle and it sounds incredible.
I love Italian styling❤
It's so unique!
That exhaust! Damn 😍
A very beautiful work of art
Love the looks and the finish looks spot on. Is that a new leather jacket you’re sporting? 👍🏻
So you don't like the design?
That's a blasphemous thing to say!
Ranjan Pattnaik I don’t like the front and the look of the bike either although the rest of it seems pretty good but that silver side panel looks out of place to me as well
Not a fan either.
Neil Devine front of the bike looks like a pp
It's polarizing. Not bad but not excellent, either.
Amazing motorcycle and a great review, thank you MCN
How could you “not be a fan?!”
I guess same as me... Dislike the round headlight a lot.
RRSmurf and what form should the headlight of a retro inspired modern bike have?
I don't think the round headlight suits the rest of the styling. But by all means, like or love the styling. I don't.
The leather strap is even worse than the headlight imo.
@@Mikaelsson the headlight is a touch too small
Brutally beautiful
Italians are the only nation who can put great engineering with amazing beautiful design. 😍
Been down the MV road twice, owing an F41000R and a Brutale 910s. Won't go back regardless of how beautiful they make the designs.
Dreambike!😍
That retro kinda aesthetic is absolutely amazing... I can see why people don't like it but to the right person it's stunningly beautiful... I'm that right person (who, unfortunately cannot afford it)
The wing in the windshield is actually a divergent vortex generator.
Stupenda. Fantastico. Un saluto from Italy
Ciao caro.
Great review ! honest and not biased! Love the design myself just hope the Lotto come up 🏍👍🏻😎
I really like the design, retro with new look. Exellent
I fail to understand how Triumph can only get 125bhp from the same configuration engine that's apparently moto2 derived? Then they stick it in a dated looking bike and call it a limited edition special! Shame on you triumph, get back to making grandad's bike. Even a Ducati 848, with admittedly a bit more cc but one cylinder less was making 133bhp a decade ago! I applaud MV for putting a brilliant engine in such a beautiful looking bike. Bravo!
Triumph are using the engine in a naked bike and probably toned it down for more grunt down low. The limited edition was just a marketing stunt. If there was a proper NEW 765 Daytona it would have more than 125 bhp
@@davidvitan3590 agree about the street triple, but the Daytona 765 LE is a moto2-derived engine, it doesn't need low-down torque. They claim that it's because of service intervals but 125bhp really isn't that much for a 800cc triple.
@@richardtomlinson2063 Of course you're right, but as I said, I think the Daytona 765 was a marketing stunt, not really meant for permanent production. I think should Triumph decide to build a brand new Daytona it would have more. But I agree that the MV's engine sounds like a masterpiece
Neevesy, you certainly have a soft spot for the old GSXR 750.
Easily one of the most beautiful modern retro bike out. I wish you guys could get your hands on the serie oro model because I think they took too much of that character away with mass produced variant. But how much different does it feel from the F3? I've ridden the new 2020 F3 and it feels better than before, but I just want to know if this bike is nicer to ride in comparison? Great video as always.
I have to disagree, the serie oro is beautiful but the essence of this bike is the style and shape, not adding more flashy parts. The desmosedicci back end, the bolt less fairings, retro 70s looks. It’s absolutely amazing
@@JamchesterBoozle I only mention its mass "produced variant" as having less character and that it would be cool if they got their hands on a serie oro. Never said one or the other was better looking.
I love MV AGUSTA .......BUT after my Dad owning a 15 plate Dragster rr and me owning a 17 plate F4. Had both bikes from new and unfortunately had nothing but problems 😕. On the up side it looked great waiting for RAC 😆
Same with me - had 17 f3800 rc and only problems
to be fair my Brutale 800 was alright, gear position sensor packed up but was replaced quickly, other than that it was spot on, wish I hadn't chopped it in for a Stradale 800, sprag clutch after 1200 miles and never ending throttle position errors that were never resolved.......
Still cant fathom why they are hanging onto that ANCIENT switchgear with the awful one button cruise control. Such an expensive bike deserves much better and they did the same with the new Brutale
Viewed in the flesh at my local MV dealers. It seems really small in the flesh although pretty.I wouldnt swap my supersport s for this.Having had Ohlins you never want anything else.Sounds superb.
Best looking new sportsbike for some time and by a fair margin.
This bike is beautiful
Great review
How can you NOT love the styling?
I really love the look of the bike..
I think im in love 😍
It will be in my living room, one day
Thank you.JHB-SA.
I would definitely adjust a bikes suspension if I were test riding it. To not do so seems a little silly to me.
BEST Bike design of the Decade
What a gorgeous bike 🎀
the most beautiful bike ever
Looks sorta like a bullet train esq from the front. I know weird example of looks but the single headlight even standing still this bike looks fast.
Wow that sound!
I like the super veloce but for that price tag i would deffo buy something else...
Absolutely beautiful
Sold! 😂❤...
For people who are saying that this is bad value, keep in mind that whatever bike you're considering as an alternative is likely going to need optional ABS/TC tacked on for extra $$, a bar end mirror swap for $, clip on risers for $$, and a termignoni/arrow exhaust swap for $$$ at a later date when you realize that the stock exhaust is too quiet. This builds everything into the base price. A legit reason for not wanting this is MV's questionable reliability and spotty dealer network. Price is not.
Very cool bike and the sound of the MV is always fantastic but Say Vel o shay not velochi.
They need to redesign the MV logo. Great bike
such a beautiful bike!
Sounds epic and has the looks 😍
I want this bike so bad!! Half cafe racer half sportbike
Do they do it in black and gold?
Saw this bike on instagram.
It looks dope at night...🔥🔥
What's it like compared to a bog standard F3 800? (apart from more expensive)?
"Bounces around like Zebedee on a night out" You made coffee come out of my nose !!! Hahahahaaaa
cause you're old enough to know what he was talking about
Basically an MV MH900 E... hopefully produced in much bigger numbers.
Wow what a beautiful bike. In Israel it costs 60,572 GBP (269K NIS). I think I'll buy a poster instead.
Beautiful bike.
What's the red strip across the screen though?
Looks very odd. 🤔
looks AWESOME
I hope they fixed the starter...my Dragster has gone through 3 sprags in 14,000 miles...
Doesn't' look like any other bike at all. Could be appreciated or not, but for sure is 100% original and totally new compared to the general motorbikes design landscape can offer today.
If you need more than 146 hp on a road bike (and many appear to do so) well good luck to you actually exploiting that power on the public road.
Best part of 20 grand for a beautiful modern museum piece that you'd ride on sunny weekends; that's an incredible indulgence but I guess that's the same thinking behind the purchase of old exotic cars.
Nice country nice view taken for video
I owned a 2017 F4RR. Too many mechanical and electrical issues. I was expecting a reliable motorcycle but very disappointed. My dealer dropped the MV brand from the show room. Issues I had with the motorcycle: electrical wiring issue which was fully replaced under warranty, oil leak from the crank where the sprocket is (even after dealer servicing it), gas tank deformation due to ethanol content in the US gasoline (replaced under warranty), engine overheating issue even with a better water impeller installed, vibrating mirror that was replaced under warranty, LCD dash that becomes dark & unreadable when the bike is parked under the sunlight for too longer. Issues with dealership: untrained mechanics due to high turnover, careless work (missing screws, missing fasteners, overtorquing causing damage to engine crankcase, missing clips, did not put the fairing back correctly after service), misdiagnosed problems causing even more expensive service. I’ve seen two other customers with Brutale 800 (MY 2017) whose engine was broken and replaced under warranty. The F4 or any MV bikes are motorcycle art for the living room literally. My F4 is the most expensive living room decor there is. I’m still holding onto it for my project bike and learning to service it myself. The F4 is a great motorcycle when it is working but my ownership has been plagued with too many unscheduled visit to the dealer. I will forever never consider buying another MV Agusta again.
My Ducati is surprisingly a much more reliable bike from electrical and mechanical perspectives. Aftermarket parts are plentiful. Dealership experience has been very positive so far. Service work has been great also.
Sorry MV Agusta, you are extremely beautiful to ride and to look at but I have no patience in dealing with many negative ownership experiences. YMMV.
How it compares to a Ducati 999s? In thinking trade mine for one of these! Really have to tried
Dustbin fairings disappeared on the track in 1958 and there may have been the odd enthusiast that lingered on off track but the 70's was definitely not the age of the dustbin fairing, lol.
I think in the 70's when he was young, where he lived people could only still afford ancient bikes...
You had me worried it wouldn’t be Neeves reviewing this when I saw a plain white lid and not his signature one haha! For 18k it would want to be a twice as good as a old GSXR750 which doesn’t seem like it is, let’s hope Suzuki pull their finger out and bring out a GSXR 800 with adjustable clip ons and cross plane crank 😁
I don't think I've found a better road friendly superbike than last generations S1000RR with the oddball headlights. That was really spot on in just about every way. MV also seems to have a dealership scarcity issue, or have they sussed that out?
Great review, love the sound it makes and if it's anything close to or better than a gsx-r750(just traded my 2017) I'm sure it's a great ride. Not a fan of the styling myself, that tank strap looks totally
horrid.
mix retro i nowych sprzetow ciekawe polaczenie .
Retro futuristic
He’s thinking “if only it was a triumph”.
What alpinestars jacket are you wearing? It looks very nice.
Cool jacket
what about the even more expensive serie oro?
Sold out.
they should ve made the nose out of a round led drl would ve gave it an epic look.
does it have a riser bar available? Really want to get one but I'm 5'1 in height. This is my super dream bike!!
I have liked the look of this bike from the day it was announced, dustbin fairing ?, that is a dolphin fairing I don't know why you think it looks like a dustbin one, anyway I would be tempted if it was not for the price tag and I think I would find it uncomfortable which is a pity because there are not many good looking bikes these days.
The fastest piece of art you can buy
Wish that bike had the Ltwin sound... sound horrible in my opinion but looks stunning
If those forks have proper cartridges in there... they are much better than the BPF offerings out there!
It’s very pretty.
just saw one at my local bike meet up
