We watched mistake after mistake from the owners and certain managers. The reluctance to be ruthless with overpaid and underperforming players. Signing absolute plums for too much.
Not sacking a manager when he was clearly not what he once was. Then employing a bad replacement.

yes but it was better justified as hes a young talented kid. Casemiro is on his way out. He still had a fantastic 22/23 season so i wouldnt say its a bad buy but hes been shite these past few months. looks like he doesnt care anymore
That was a stopgap signing since you spent a fraction of the budget you were going to spend on Mudryk. Panic is when you make a senseless signing like Casemiro, paying that much and giving that big a contract to someone that age.
No because Trossard didn't cost that much and isn't on crazy wages.
What makes a panic buy a panic buy is that you lose your head because you're running out of options. You buy players you shouldn't have bought, for more than you should because the other team has you over a barrel and you've lost your ability to negotiate reasonably.
It's hard to call Casemiro a panic buy because United's transfer strategy is so awful regardless of whether they're panicking or not: overpaying on players based on brand value and reputation, buying aging superstars past their best instead of young and hungry up-and-coming prospects, not having a good plan b if they can't get the guy they want, etc.

Err today doesn't prove Robbie right at all. Casimero has been playing as a centre back not a holding midfielder for the past few games.
Nothing to do with his point that it was a panic buy, Ten Hag himself admitted he didn't get his main target (De Jong) and paying someone that age a high wage on a four year contract is shocking to say the least.
