I think another reason people find Jane's supplies and work are accessible is that, women especially, see themselves in the artwork and supplies. Jane's supplies and art style are like putting on make-up and so probably many women feel like "I could do that".

Jane and Lindsey what a major treat. After many years off from making art Jane's products at Micheal's brought me back. Listening to Jane talk about art supplies is joy. She taught the art of mix and match, ink over watercolor or watercolor pencils with pastels. Mix and mix and no rules.

I loved this whole conversation. I think people forget the 20,000 mile view of the purpose of any educator...in any field....including some educators....it's basically to pass on what you know to your students to give them WINGS to take that information and FLY! THAT is the true GIFT of teachers. Thank you to both of you for hatching all of us little fledglings. ❤

Jane’s philosophy on her artistic journey resonates with me on so many levels, even though my art looks nothing like hers. And that’s the magic in expressing what you like in artistic style. It’s as individual as your fingerprint and woe to those who have the audacity to squelch your expression. My husband tells me “you have a style like I’ve never seen before and I love it.” He’s not telling me my art is perfect or photorealistic. That isn’t my jam! But my whimsical style is what makes me want to create over and over again. I don’t feel or want the pressure of creating a photorealistic masterpiece. I want it to express me.

Thanks for interviewing Jane. Such a good teacher. I took her God & Monsters online workshop last year/remember she added part instructed/helped us thread our pages into a journal that's what makes her so endearing to everyone. That must be why she is so successful. I love her lives, she's very interactive with the chat; love it when she's painting about her recent inspirations be it music, tv show, trips, concerts etc

What a lovely chat! So much resonated with me but I will have to second her assessment of you. When I first started painting in 2016, I watched some watercolor “tutorials “ and one of the “instructors” said something like “Don’t you dare copy me. I wail see it and call you out. I will not be flattered. “ wow. How can you learn from that? Then I found one of your tutorials (a pine cone card) and you were so generous and really taught. I shared my pine cone on the World Watercolor facebook group and you even commented saying “Good work!” Thank you for sharing your talent. ❤️

What a joy to meet this beautiful soul!! I’m behind on this journey as I found it after retiring from the educational field….
I’m so incredibly impressed with Janes “bubbly and kind spirit that seems to be inspired by a need to “give joy to others “…
I have loved paints (I do MEAN love ❤️) but I’ve never learned how to do anything so I’ve purchased great supplies and just have enjoyed the colors and love the brushes and their movement as I place them on paper. I live in a very small community where art isn’t valued….(our schools dropped art which I fought against but lost)…
I just wanted to hug this young lady when she said a counselor said “you are not smart enough “….
I just admire Janes ability to NOT be defined or defeated by someone’s callousness….she even does the complete opposite it seems…. She encourages everyone to create and “do art”….
I’m so grateful you brought her to my attention!!❤
I’m so excited to watch her RUclips
Her supplies must be “right up my alley “ because I love color, I love creativity (it’s gotten me through the hardest times) and she is just so extremely kind!!!
I can tell by the sparkle and light in her eyes….
My husband and dear friend (of 50 years) tell me that my eyes reveal how I am truly feeling regardless of how I try to cover it when I’m hurt, etc. and this came to me as I watched Jane’s interview because it’s so obvious she was happy and even excited when thinking about her different products along with sharing them with others and seeing how they have worked to help others fall in love with “creating”…
I just wish I would have known her from the beginning of her journey but I am thrilled to meet her TODAY ❤❤❤
Love your podcast, Lindsey, and I agree with Janes eloquent description of YOU and all that you have given and continue to give…..
I’m in such a great mood and so excited at finding Jane Davenport today ❤
    Blessings sweet ladies,
    Nancy
I do find I’m drawn to a kind spirit as much as…if not more than the talent and you both have an abundance of kindness and generosity ❤
