    Architecture is a human endeavor where we put our experiences of living in a building. Yes, automated tools are a good way of producing quick results but architecture is a DISCOURSE and DIALOGUE of our human existence.
    Architects, engineers, planners, specialists, designers are part of a team. A.I., Grasshopper, Adobe, Maya, Autocad, Revit are TOOLS. This should be the hierarchy not the other way around.
    Simple.

      i 100% agree with you. BUT since A.I. will be available to any and everyone it's very unlike the ignorant will care. most people will go "why should i pay u, when i can simple imput "house" in this machine and it will give me 10k options".

      @@kummer45 well. it doesn't matter. Very soon someone will go full "genius" and release a software that let you "design" your house with feel clic. and people will go for it simple cause of the price. most houses/buildings where i live are just boring boxes with dressing

    • @kummer45
      @kummer45 Год назад

      @@MsRafaelRGO But it does matter because priority, position, preference and preservation varies from case to case. Order of spaces matters to the client where we, architects, speak about how that sequence is organized. We speak about habits and uses. We speak about cultural use of space and levels of privacy. A machine can optimize but the architect makes the decisions. Doesn't matter if you have 100 generated cases. None of them are established with a DESIGN criteria where human perception is involved.
      This is my profession, I build algorithms and architecture. I know exactly how this works. Automatization must be reasoned at some point in the process. Without pencil and paper at hand there is ZERO profession. Everything must be build and thought out including the automatization.

    "Architects should be familiar with the whole workflow including planning principles, codes, construction, and other knowledge. Without enough experience, you can't master AI and make the right choice of solutions. In this case, the design will be empty and boring. Don't turn your design into a black box driven by AI. Don't be lazy. Otherwise, you'll suffer the consequences." Well said! Technology, just like magic, needs humans to decide how it's applied. Looking forward to see more possibilities with D5!

    The showed method looks completely useless but in a few years this could be a thing. For now it is like trying to make architecture by explaining it to the monkey what to draw via a phone. In the end it created something that looks like a project of a student of the first or second year of Architecture with no respect to the surrounding and invented more like a single façade design and not a 3d space shaping. Yet. This is just very beginning.

    Seems the advice is the opposite of the actual process as described here, meaning, all the sketching and exploration, all the rough ideas are considered in a mix of form and function and seems to me you are eliminating the form side of the challenge, and a good portion of the function perhaps? Would be nice to see how has the planning being done.
    BTW, choosing marble as you have for outdoor has proven time and time a gain a very poor choice due to the natural porosity of the materials, and using marble in this fashion will result in cracks and major safety issues, and let's face it, looks wrong in an exterior, especially as marble ages and gets very dirty with time in any city environment.
    Lovely renders, poor practice.

I appreciate the AI and D5 part of this, but the reality of this type of work is still a symbol of material modernism and mind blowing amounts of wasted money on totally impractical detail that has no other purpose then a bunch of blow hards, we, let's end my rant there. I think AI is to be mastered to serve our own needs, and we see that the architects from this video are taking advantage of the power of AI not just for fun, but to actually contribute to an actual project. We understand it might sound impractical to some at this time, but we see it as a sign(could be too early to define it as a good or bad one) that triggered us to share this new workflow to more users who are interested.☺️
