Hired Carmine to do all the drum tracks and then while on tour fired Carmine cause he was making money on the side doing drum seminars while on tour. She rehires Tommy to finish tour because he was signed with her daddy’s label already. Is it Tommy on the 87 Whitesnake album? Hell No! That’s Ansnley Dunbar. Tommy is a stage drummer that’s it. He looks the part, plays great, hits hard and has great hair. I’ve seen Tommy probably 10 times live in my life.

I was told by an individual who worked for Jet at that time Tommy wasn't that good in the studio for "that "project. However, you have to remember when the Arden's (Sharon) are involved it's a world of spewed bullshit and fkn personnel over money wise. Just like when she didn't hire Alex Skolnik because of the way he held the guitar, the jazz way high on the chest. Didn't like how he looked on stage. Ozzy liked him, she didn't like him. That's why he only did one gig with Oz.

This demo sounds so raw like a garage band of the 90's and early 2000's, and yet it was in 1982 long before that! It's so perfect in its imperfections. Given the context and time, Ozzy was struggling with his slump of depression having recently lost Randy Rhoads. Yet at the same time was determined to keep going, believing in himself, and using the depressed mindset to inspire his lyrics. This is what grunge tried to be, but the emo kids took it too far from its raw garage band sounding roots. They appropriated it like several other things of music, fashion, and pop culture in general. Also, not everyone can use their adverse mindset to fuel creativity. I used to always see grunge for what it became and everyone hates now, but when I listened to this, I immediately recognized this is what the genre was aspiring to at least in part. I can barely understand the alternative lyrics. But that's okay.
