I also did Logic of English before starting into level 2 of TGAB. My son really struggled with reading and LOE helped teach the rules of English so clearly and in a very sequential way and not too fast. Then TGAB let him review all the rules at a faster pace. He felt really successful speeding through level 2 and he's a lot more enthusiastic about LA now, though he still groans about writing.

This is a really great summary of the two programs and I think the same is true for us. Glad both have served you well also!
Personally I like LOgic of English better than TGAB. However my son did not like LOgic of Emgloish so we switched back to tgab.
