Panda was ALSO trained by Heihachi in Mishima Style Fighting Karate to be Xiaoyu's bodyguard for whatever reason, so I guess it does still make sense.
Maybe down the line they'll add more Xiaoyu moves to Panda, severall chars got move upgrades in T7

I might be wrong, but Kuma Wind God Fists in Heat will consume a small amount of heat bar, since he only does it while in heat, so it's a heat only move, i guess😮
Panda should've get some Xiaoyu moves, but I think they did great jobs for the 🐻 🥳

@@riastradh you do know that the electric effects of the mishimas are real like powers. I say powers cuz in fate interactions, the mishimas are the only ones can be seen with their ki when their fists collide, others doesn't. Kuma can't have electric effects cuz he wasn't born a mishima.

Well Kuma will probably only have the EWGF in Heat. If you listen closly, after each electric the heat audio cue plays.
Otherwise he would of had the same EWGF reveal like Reina without going into heat.

Kuma and Panda wasn't popular in any previous tekken because they were Low tier, even Harada was surprised when Rangchu won major tournament. From that day on he decided to buff them and make them viable and look at them in T8. Really glad they are.

Chicken/egg thing: Don't these two characters not need development time because they are played less or are these characters played less because they don't get the right development? I think that Namco sees them as joke characters and thus don't try to get people to play them more and don't do the obvious with them in seperating them more.

I think the first electric he did was a just frame, you can see that blue water effect he usually does when he power up his new moves and you can't hear the heat loss sound effect during the first electric.

I think Tekken 8 might convince me to play Kuma
I really liked playing Kuma in Tekken 6, but I always felt like his launchers were some of the weakest in the game because of how slow they were. Any moderately skilled player would deny any and every launch attempt without bad luck or some sort of crazy setup. Even though I main DJin, I really hope Kuma/Panda are viable in this game.

ff2 has long range and high crushes, df21 now is a staple launcher they're good
As a new Tekken player I would actually play these bear characters if it wasn't for the fact that they are the same character which means one is just a reskin of the other. Really lame and uninviting to play. Why even have both if there is no effort in the design...

I'll tell you what makes the Hell Sweep better now.
It transitions perfectly into crouch, before there was an awkward pause and jerk. Now you can do rising moves out of it properly, almost no delay compared to in 6 tag 2 and 7 Also love that bearstance transition.
That's kind of what sets apart Beear HSweep from Mishima HSweep. Mishimas stand up for a split second after their hellsweeps, rendering them vulnerable during the decision making moment of, choosing whether to continue offense standing or from crouched. That was less of a problem for the bears, and it seems like it might be even better now in 8

Panda does have different moves though. Panda has, at the very least, a big smash down to the ground with a beachball so i think she'll have other moves than Kuma. Would be very odd if panda could do EWGF which i don't think Harada would've allowed.
