Thanks so much for watching this video! 😊 If you like, share your expected due date with other mommies here and let them know: they are not alone! Or maybe, you have given birth to your baby already? If so, what were the signs that you noticed 24 to 48 hours before you went into labor?
Doctor told me to wait for another 2 weeks when i last checked up at 19 October. My due date is 2 November. My doctor told me your baby head is not engaged and also written os closed. I am walking and staying active also doing squats. Currently i am at 39 week and yet no labor pains. However i have notice small change in belly appearance. It is lower than before . Kindly suggest me some advices . I am waiting
@@aysha7350 Hi there again Aysha 😊, that's good news!! When your belly is now hanging lower, it means that your baby is most likely engaged! Also, if you are keeping active, you are already doing a great job! We also have some more suggestions, but we posted them below your other comment! We hope this helps! ❤️😊
For anyone who may be discouraged about not being dilated at all yet during your doctor's appointments don't worry! For me my water broke on my due date and when I went in to get checked (3 hours later) I wasn't even 1full cm dilated yet. I still ended up having her later that day once my contractions started naturally about 12 hours later. So don't worry if you hear lots of other pregnant women saying they are dilated since 37 weeks for example. I felt so discouraged hearing that other mamas were dilating but for me it ended up happening very quick ❤️💕 Sending my love to all of you pregnant mamas and wishing you a safe and healthy birth!
@@janrose4950 Hi there! ❤️ Let us also add that some women are not dilated (or are hardly dilated) before they go into active labor! Admittedly, it mostly happens in second time moms. However, it DOES also happen in first pregnancies... All the best for you and your baby!! ❤️
I’m 2-3cm dilated (depending on who’s measuring) and I’ve been stuck here for weeks. I would not advise telling people that 2-3cm means labor is 24-48hrs away. You could stay there for weeks.
Hi there Alexis 😊, thanks for sharing your concerns! 😊 Well, actually, we use words like "normally" and "chances are" throughout this video in order to account for the fact that this may not be true for all women! We even refer to another one of our videos in which we tell you what you can try to dilate faster in case that, what we say here, does not apply to you and you don't go into labor within 24 to 48 hours. Also, keep in mind that it could also happen that your water breaks and that you still don’t go into labor within 24 to 48 hours. And it could even happen that your contractions come every 5 minutes, are strong and last for hours although you are still not in labor (which can be the case when you experience "prodromal labor" for instance). However, these are expectations and will not apply in most cases (luckily 😅). Still, be assured that we appreciate your feedback and we will try our best to make more careful statements in our next video! 😊 All the best for you and your baby! ❤️
You guys are awesome. I used your videos to dilate faster and they really helped. I went to my check-up and my gynecologist told me that I was not dilated and booked me to be induced after two days if I had nothing happened. I was 39+5 weeks then. I started having contractions at around 17:00 and thought they were Braxton hicks but they intensified as I was going to bed, i went to the hospital before 01:00 am. I was in active labor when they were taking history and we didn't finish it when they checked how dilated I am, to my surprise they said it's time to go to labor ward as I was thinking I was going to take longer like my previous labor. It took few contractions, my water broke and they told me to push when I had a contraction. I pushed twice and my daughter was born. She's weeks old now 😊. Much love from 🇿🇦 South Africa

Hi there ❤️, yes, we can absolutely understand how frustrating this is! Seems like it was "only" just pre-labor. But don't give up!! The positive news here is that apparently, your body is doing some test rounds for the real thing! I’m 40 weeks tomorrow and still 0 signs of labour. Will be going for induction on 40 weeks + 1 day due to my mature age and baby size is big. Praying for normal delivery after induction.
I delivered the same day I posted this at night! So I didn’t have to be induced. My water broke at 40weeks-1day. Unfortunately baby was breeched and I had to have an emergency cesarean. We’re well and fine though, thanks for your comments

I am 40 weeks today with my first baby. At 38 weeks I was 1cm dilated and at 39 weeks I was at 2cm dilated. Baby is head down at station 3. I had false labor contractions at 39 weeks 4 days that lasted 2 hours before going away. I’m hoping I go into labor soon!!
Hi there Stayce 😊, thanks a lot for sharing your case! 😊 The good news here is that your body already started to dilate! So, at least, you can see that your body is preparing for labor. 😊 That said, there are many things which have helped other women in similar situations to go into labor: 1. Nipple stimulation (just keep in mind that it may not be done with a few minutes per day). 2. Reflexology (same as nipple stimulation: it may not be done with a few minutes per day only) 3. Acupuncture (this can work particularly well if your stress levels are really high; and please note: it has to be acupuncture; acupressure would most probably not help in your case) 4. Exercises on a birthing ball Of course, there is also Castor oil. However, personally, we always treat Castor oil as last resort simply because of the side effects. Also, you can never be sure if it is going to work... Still, it CAN be super effective for labor induction. We talk more about these tools and also how to apply them in these 2 videos: ruclips.net/video/8rehbupwhzY/видео.html (reflexology, nipple stimulation, Castor oil) ruclips.net/video/UgrbOc4cebY/видео.html (birth ball exercises) Moreover, please also try to relax as good as possible! We know, it's not easy. But please try not to put too much pressure on yourself because this would just cause a lot of stress! And stress COULD prevent you from going into labor. So please, try to find ways to relax (meditation, yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, a back massage - whatever you find most relaxing!) We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️
Update: At 40 weeks 5 days I was still at 2cm and no sign of labor insight. I’ve tried all of the labor inducing tips and tricks (except for castor oil) and nothing has worked for me. I think my baby is too comfortable in my belly 🤷🏽♀️ I am getting induced at 40 weeks 6 days, wish me luck!
@@koalakisser9769 Hey Stayce 😊, thanks a lot for the update! We are very sorry to hear that it did not work for you! 😬 Unfortunately, the reality is that even in our clinic, we cannot always help a woman go into labor naturally. And we still haven't found the reason, why it is not working for some women. That said, not even scientists can explain why some tools work for some women, but not for others. But maybe, it's just as you say: baby feels too comfortable in there! 😊 So, all we can tell you now is: try nipple stimulation (although you have tried it already)! If anything can help you go into labor spontaneously before your induction (apart from Castor oil), then it is nipple stimulation... And if it does not help: just keep in mind that medical inductions happen every day! And all of those women give birth to perfectly healthy babies!! We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️❤️
Hello i m 40+4 weeks pregnant but have no labour pain my doc ask me for induction tomorrow if it not successful then she will do c section i have done so many exercises nd walk but no pain so plz pray for me its all be better....kindly
Hi there 😘, please don't worry too much! Inductions at 40 weeks are very likely to be successful! So, please don't be worried just yet that you are going to need a C-section! We are sure everything will be fine! Sending you lots of prayers!! 😘😘 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️
Then there are those of us whose water doesn’t break until baby is crowning, and are 3cm for 3 weeks before hand. I also nest 8-12 weeks before baby. I don’t have labor signs until the real contractions start going. (Baby #6 due any day)
Oh yes, you are SO right!! There are women who NONE of this applies to! Only recently, we had a woman whose water broke and she did NOT go into labor by herself... she was induced eventually... By the way: CONGRATULATIONS on pregnancy number 6!! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming delivery! ❤️ But you are pro anyways! Are you getting nervous these days at all??? 😊
Im 39wks today and last week monday my midwife told me im 2 cm dilated on friday i lost my mucus plug and im still waiting this is my 3rd pregnancy. Im experiencing alot of braxtonhics and pelvis pressure
Hi there 😊, 2cm dilated a 39 weeks is great. This together with the fact that you are experiencing lots of braxton hicks contractions and pelvic pressure CAN mean that labor is very close. So, the best thing to do right now is to relax! After 2 kids, your body knows exactly what it is doing! Trust that you will soon hold that sweet little thing in your arms!! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️

I am so proud of all my Pakistani ladies finally realising that our healthcare system is good for nothing and finally standing up for themselves and learning about our own bodies!! We have been treated dumb for ages! People think natural birth isn’t possible without medical interventions! And even the people are so stuck on these concepts that it’s impossible to even make your family understand.. I can see that in a few years, we will be able to fight these stupid hospital policies which only benefit the healthcare provider and not the mother who desperately needs peaceful births.
We know exactly what you mean! We have talked to so many women from Pakistan, particularly over the past 4 years. And it is scary what we hear from them... 🙈🙈🙈
North Africa and America are the same... medicines and medical interventions are all they care about, and if they're wrong, there's no responsibility or accountability. If a patient chose something against them, they threaten to take away the child or jail them.
@@blacksheepk Yes, unfortunately, what you say here becomes more and more true these days.... ☹ It's basically all about the money. It's all that counts....
Hi there Aysha 😊, thanks a lot for sharing! First of all, please don't be worried just yet! We know that many women are, when they are in week 39 when they don't see any signs of labor. However, on average, a pregnancy lasts between 38 and 42 weeks. Anything within that time frame is considered "normal". So, it could be that your baby just needs a couple of more days. Also, please note that sometimes, things can go really fast. Only recently, we met a woman who told us that she was going to work in the morning, no signs of labor whatsoever. And by 8pm in the evening (on the same day), she held her baby in her arms 😊. That said, there are a couple of things which have helped other women go into labor in similar situations. 1. Nipple stimulation (just keep in mind that it may not be done with a few minutes per day) 2. Reflexology (same as nipple stimulation: it may not be done with a few minutes per day only) 3. We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming delivery, for you and your baby! ❤️

You guys are so encouraging. Absolutely love your advice and the spirit in which you give it! Have you done any videos on home birth? Been looking on your channel but can't find anything
Hi there Eli 😊, thanks a lot for your lovely comment! 😘 We are very happy to hear that you like our work!! 😊 Unfortunately, so far, we have not done a video on home birth. In fact, on our channel, we mostly focus on the preparation for labor. The delivery itself (i.e. first two stages of labor) is a topic that we discuss more in our childbirth class because it requires much more time to discuss things like birthing positions and, most importantly, what you can do if labor does not progress as expected. Nevertheless, we do share lots of tips and tools that apply to home birthing here on youtube too. However, they are not summarized in one video. Instead, we discuss them in several different videos... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

Hi there Lahore! 😊 We totally understand that you are scared! And please believe us when we tell you that every woman feels the same way, particularly, when it's her first pregnancy. We meet such women every day at the clinic. 😊 However, let us also tell you that, no matter how scared they were, every single one of them eventually gave birth to their baby! In fact, BILLIONS of other women have successfully done what you are about to do! And if they can do it, YOU can do it as well!! So, when you think about labor and birth, don't think about the pain that it may cause you or other things that may scare you. Think about and focus on that very moment when you hold that sweet little thing in your arms for the very first time! Because then, everything else will be forgotten! We wish you all the best for you and your baby!! ❤️❤️
Hi there ❤️, Poor you!! We can totally understand! Every woman who was pregnant can relate to how you are feeling right now! At some point, you are just soooo tired and exhausted and you just want your body back!! But most importantly, you want to hold your baby in your arms!! ❤️❤️ Some things that have helped other women in your situation are the following ones: 1. Relaxation because it helps keep your stress levels in check (stress hormones can block the release of labor hormones which is why relaxation is so important). Try a massage treatment, try yoga or meditation or whatever you find relaxing! 2. Nipple stimulation: women who had at least some contractions already, are much more likely to have even more contractions with nipple stimulation. In this video, we explain how it works: ruclips.net/video/8rehbupwhzY/видео.html 3. Exercise (IF your doctor allows it): exercises on a birthing ball or going for a 30min walk per day are great ways to go into labor spontaneously. That's not only what scientists have found. It's also what we see at the clinic all the time... We explain how exercises on a birthing ball work in this video: ruclips.net/video/UgrbOc4cebY/видео.html. 4. Acupuncture and/or reflexology. We help women naturally induce labor at the clinic with acupuncture and reflexology all the time (however, it is only likely to work if you see lots of early signs of labor, like for example, mucus plug discharge, bloody show, first contractions etc.). If you cannot find a professional therapist, you can also do acupressure and/or reflexology yourself. (In this video, we teach how: ruclips.net/video/8rehbupwhzY/видео.html). Just keep in mind that the effect of a professional treatment will be much stronger... We really hope that this helps you go into labor! You too deserve the most natural delivery!! All the best for you and your baby!! ❤️❤️

I was hit head on in a car accident a week ago at 30 weeks. Now 31 weeks. Aside from injuries to me, my baby is showing huge signs of moving into my pelvis. Pressure, lightning crotch, he is head down. And I look dropped now. I sustained some pelvic injuries and lower back as well as seat belt injuries. But baby looks fine, and apparently I have a long cervix still. Could I be going into labour earlier now? Lightning crotch is unreal. This is my second baby. 1st hopeful vaginal birth though.
Hi there 😘, we are sorry to hear that you were involved in a car accident! ☹️ Unfortunately, it is not possible to tell us if you could be going into labor earlier. This is something that only your doctor can say based on your check-up. We can only tell you IN GENERAL that sometimes, labor can indeed start earlier after such events. Not only because of the physical impact of the accident on your body. Such events can also lead to an earlier labor because of the shock (i.e. the mental impact). However, NORMALLY labor would then start right after experiencing the shock. And not weeks afterwards. That said, it is very important that your doctor keeps observing how you and your baby are doing. Also, if you believe that your baby has dropped already, then we recommend that you talk with your doctor immediately because in some cases, if a baby drops very early, it can be a sign of preterm labor... So please, don't hesitate to talk with your doctor... Unfortunately, that's all we can tell you! We still hope it helps a little! 😬 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
@@CareAboutLittleOnes Yes, thank you for the quick reply! I appreciate the time you have taken to answer. Hi there Joreen 😊, not necessarily! Unfortunately, this is very different from woman to woman. Some go into labor within days after losing the mucus plug. Others don't go into labor for another week or 2... However, what it DOES tell you is that your body is preparing for labor! And that's the most important thing to know! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi there 😉, week 36 is really a bit early for the cervix to dilate 😉. Keep in mind that the cervix of some women won't start dilate before they go into labor which can be in week 40 and sometimes even later. Other women start to dilate in week 37 already. So it really depends on your body. However, there are tools which you can apply to help your body prepare for labor so that you ultimately dilate faster. We explain how these tools work in this video: ruclips.net/video/8rehbupwhzY/видео.html. We hope this helps 😉 All the best for you and your baby!! ❤️❤️
Hi there 😊, many women have a successful VBAC, particularly if the gap is longer than 2 years. So yes, in general, this is possible. However, whether you can have a normal delivery this time or not, depends on a couple of factors. We recorded a video on this topic. Can you please search for "VBAC" using the search bar on our channel? 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi there! 😊 Unfortunately, there are not really any "reliable" signs of labor. However, we recorded this video (ruclips.net/video/v_nPARnW1e4/видео.html) which summarizes what we believe are the "most" reliable ones among the ones that exist... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your sweeties!! ❤
I know water breaking is indeed a sign that baby is ready to come out , but in my country they don't wait for labour to start , they do c section without any other option .. some dr. Try to induce and some Dont do that even ...so my biggest fear is water breaking ...😢it will be very helpful if you tell us what should i do exactly once water break and especially if the contraction haven't started ....how long can we wait for contraction to start ?
Hi there 😘, we are sorry to hear that! Normally, they would try an induction first. It is quite uncommon to go straight for a C-section... 😬 NORMALLY, when your water breaks, they would wait for 48 hours. If contractions have not started during that period, they would induce... This is - at least - the policy in many hospitals in Europe... We hope this helps! 😘 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

I am going to be 40 weeks in 4 days ,doctor told to get admitted in 2 days n i might have to go under c section since my cervic dilation is only 2 cm ,i want to have a normal delivery ,i dont knw wat to do i am confused .
Hi there 😘, it is not a surprise that you are confused! Since when is the fact that you are "only 2cm dilated" a reason for a C-section?? We can assure you that we know LOTS of women who were 0 dilated when labor started and they all had a normal delivery - unless of course, something else went wrong. But certainly not because of lack of pre-labor dilation. Besides, why go straight for a C-section? Why not try an induction first? We strongly recommend that you see another doctor! We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi there 😊, wow your 4th!! Congratulations!! 😍 And thanks so much for sharing with us! 😊 Not sure how you experienced your pre-labor phase during your second and third pregnancy, however, it is not uncommon for second-time moms (or in your case: fourth-time moms!!) to experience no signs at all for the longest time. And then all of a sudden, everything goes really fast. It's like you skip early labor and go straight into active labor. In fact, we have seen second-time moms go into labor and hold their baby in their arms within 24 hours, although they did not experience a single sign that labor is close... So, our message is: get your hospital bag ready! 😊 We wish you all the best for the upcoming delivery, for you and your baby!! ❤️

Hi there 😘, unfortunately, that's difficult to say in general because it very much depends on the case! We know many women who gave birth to perfectly healthy babies in week 41. But we also know some women who ran into troubles at 41 weeks (not life-threatening troubles, "just" complications). But in most of those cases, they took risks because there were actually good reasons why those babies would have been better off in the outside world... So, best to discuss your case with your OB or midwife. Check if there are medical reasons why your baby has to get out of there rather sooner than latter. And if not, make a decision if you want to wait a little longer... Plus. watch our latest short where we talk about this! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️

Hello there, I'm 39 weeks pregnant, my due date is September 28. Yesterday I had a checkup and my doctor told me that I'm not dilating and my pelvis is very high. She said that the chances of natural delivery are very low and asked me to come on my due date for C-section. Is there any way I can have natural delivery??
Hi there 😊, just to clarify: did your doctor really say your pelvis is high? Or did you mean your baby is high above your pelvis? Also, did she give you any additional information, like is your cervix soft or enfaced, is your cervix posterior or anterior, is your baby engaged etc.? Looking forward to your reply!
@@CareAboutLittleOnes thank you for your reply. She said your baby's head is very high and your cervix is not opening. In my file she wrote the remarks "Pelvis borderline P/p v. High"
@@CareAboutLittleOnes I also asked another doctor's opinion. She also said your cervix is not opening and it is highly unlikely that you'll get natural pains. Now I'm so confused that I can't locate my baby's head. Sometimes it feels like head down and sometimes in transverse position.
@@faqihasultan2210 Okay, well, it's difficult for a woman to make a decision in such a case. First of all, dilation is only one thing. The question is also, is your cervix soft, is it enfaced, is it posterior or anterior? In our opinion a soft cervix is even more important because only when your cervix is soft, it can dilate. And dilation only happens when you are in labor because you need the contractions for that. So, ask your doctor: "why do you expect me to dilate without me having any contractions???" Also, when she says the baby is very high, it does not mean anything. A better information would be the exact station of the baby in the pelvis (like -3 or -4 etc.). Also, please note that some babies only drop once the woman is in labor (although it mostly happens in second pregnancies - in first pregnancies, the baby normally drops before labor starts - but this can still happen over the next 2 weeks). So, we would recommend talking with your doctor once more. Ask her why it needs to be a C-section? Why not an induction? Ask her about all the details of your cervix. Finally, also keep in mind that a pregnancy lasts between 38 and 42 weeks. So, why rushing into a C-section? Are there medical reasons which explain that rush? These are the kinds of questions we would ask. Also, we recommend getting a second opinion. This will make things easier for you in terms of making a decision! We hope this helps! ❤️
Hi there 😊, please note that a cerclage has no effect on whether or not your water is going to break! IF your water breaks at all, it will most likely happen later in your pregnancy (when it's your time). And yes, when it does, then labor normally starts within 24-48 hours... 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
hello.... i have been watching ur videos since a week ... Really really great informations.. I'm very thankful to you both... I have a doubt in this.... these simpltoms appears only if I'm ready for normal delivery right?
Hi there! You are MOST welcome!! We are super grateful if you find our videos helpful!!❤️😊 Yes, you are right! Under NORMAL circumstances, these are symptoms that we would expect to observe... Just keep in mind that every woman is different. For example: sometimes, it takes WEEKS for a woman to dilate. Moreover, it could happen that a woman's water breaks and she still does not go into labor (although in that case, she would normally be induced because the baby is no longer protected from infections)... So, as always in pregnancy, it's really a matter of how a woman experiences the last days before labor... 😊 We hope this helps 😊
Hi guys, how do we differentiate urine and amniotic fluid when water breaks ? Sorry if it's a silly question. I am in my 38+4 weeks pregnant and waiting for labour symptoms. I heard we might not be able to differentiate. Plz let me know how to know so that I can rush to hospital immediately.
Hi there 😊, don't worry! It's not a silly question at all 😊 We have recorded a video on how to distinguish pee from amniotic fluid. It's not THAT difficult... Here it is: ruclips.net/video/B5H-llfoHQ4/видео.html We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
I respectfully disagree with the fact that being 3 cm dilated means you're going into labor within 24-48 h. You can be dilated for weeks before you can actually go into labor. Where did you get that info?
Hi there 😊, you are 100% right! Unfortunately, dilation does not always progress in a steady line. Indeed, as you correctly say, some women are dilated for weeks before they finally go into labor. And let's be honest: it could as well be that your water breaks and you still don't go into labor (at least not in a natural way). Plus, you can also have contractions every 5 minutes and still not be in labor (which is the case when you experience what is called "prodromal labor"). Still, these are the 3 signs that we feel NORMALLY mean that labor is really close based on what we observe at the clinic. But we should have really made it more clear in the video that there can be exceptions. So, thanks a lot for your input! All the best! ❤️
This happened to me with my firstborn... weds I was 2cm, thurs evening I was 3, Friday went into active labor in the early morning ... had baby about 2 hours after feeling those intense contractions

39 weeks (and 5 days) pregnant with number 5. With my previous baby I was dilated for 2-3 weeks before going into labor. With this baby my midwife confirmed almost 2 weeks ago that I was dilated 2cm but still not in labor.
Hi there 😊, please note that first of all, not every pregnancy is the same, particularly not when it comes to dilation. Second, it is not uncommon for women to dilate to a certain degree. And then their dilation "gets stuck" for days or even weeks before early labor starts (please note that - in this video - we talk about the start of active labor, not early labor). However, the good news here is that you dilated at all! Because in later pregnancies (i.e. not first ones), it would be great if a woman could at least dilate for 2cm before labor starts. That's because normally, this will not only make it more likely for you to go into labor. It also makes an induction more likely, in case you don't go into labor spontaneously... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️
@@CareAboutLittleOnes Hi! Thank you for your well thought out response. I truly appreciate you taking the time to do that. I actually am aware of most of what you said. I’m currently 39 weeks and 1 day. Yesterday I was dilated 1cm so my OB did a membrane sweep. I was experiencing very strong contractions when walking but when I rested they were there but not as strong. I woke up at 3am with strong period like cramps that have been hurting my lower back. I took a bath but the pain still hasn’t resolved. My husband also massaged and it helped when he was doing it but once he stopped they it was hurting still. I am currently having cramps still that are farther apart but my lower back hurts so bad. I’ve tried changing positions but nothing works and when I stand or walk I still get super strong contractions. What does this mean?
Hi there 😊, based on what you describe here, it very much looks like you are going into labor. 😊 A typical sign of contractions is that nothing that you do makes them go away. A massage can certainly help ease the pain, but it won't stop the contractions (that's why it's great to have massage treatments during labor). So, right now, you are probably in prelabor, or most likely even in early labor. So now, you just need to observe your contractions. Eventually, they will develop a pattern. They will come in closer and closer intervals, they will become stronger and longer. In other words: soon you will hold that sweet little baby in your arms!! 🥰🥰 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️ P.S.: As always, please don't hesitate to call your midwife in case you are worried in any way about what you experience!

@@blessingajayi9672 Hi there! 😊 Try to do it for 15 min per side for one hour! And then do this up to 3 times a day. We know it's A LOT! But this is the very protocol that has helped many women go into labor....

Hi there 😊, please note that on average, a pregnancy lasts between 38 and 42 weeks. Therefore, it is still early days in terms of seeing any early signs of labor. Of course, some women do, don't get us wrong. But the majority of women is only going to see early signs of labor once they are closer to their due date. With that said, what we do at the clinic is, we normally start preparing women for labor from week 37 of a pregnancy onwards, for example, with the tools that we explain in this video: ruclips.net/video/8rehbupwhzY/видео.html Maybe you find this video helpful! 😊 Wishing you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby! ❤️
Hi I am 39 weeks ftm , was said my cervix is soft , admits 1 finger ,no effacement , but my cervix is still very posterior and the head isn't fixed .. I have been having Braxton Hicks on and off , do u think the posterior cervix and the head not fixed yet would pose as a problem ? Would love to have your opinion
Hi there 😊, first of all, please note that a woman can still go into labor, even when the cervix is posterior and the head not fixed yet. So, neither one of these things really poses a problem in terms of labor. What COULD happen is that you go through a "longer" period of either pre-labor or early labor. During that phase, the contractions will bring the cervix forward and they will also help the baby engage in your pelvis. On the other hand, if your cervix is already soft, it is unlikely that that phase will be considerably longer. Also, please note that sometimes, women are in pre-labor without being aware of it. And that's because it is really very difficult to distinguish pre-labor contractions from Braxton Hicks contractions. So, what we normally tell women in a situation like yours is to give the body time. Your body knows what it is doing and it will resolve both "issues" at some point, either before or after you go into labor... Of course, if you have any doubts, it's always good to have a chat with your midwife... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi there.. You both are doing great job.i am 36wks 2 days pregnant.i have mild contractions for 3 hrs.but now it has stopped.is it the sign of early labor r Braxton Hicks ?
Hi there! 😊 Did you notice that your belly has dropped after the contractions stopped? It is very common for women to have contractions for 2-3 days in week 36 of their pregnancy. They have the purpose of "pressing" the baby down the pelvis (i.e. to engage the baby). Interestingly, there is not really a term for this kind of contractions in the English literature. However, they are not a sign of early labor and technically, they are not Braxton Hicks either... We hope this helps! 😊 All the best for you and your baby! ❤️
This is my first Baby I am 37 weeks and four days today. I had false labour 2 days before and when I went to ER my doctor checked my cervix and said it has become softer but not opened yet. From then I am having some blood spots here and there and back pain when I asked my doc about this she didn't give me any explanation but just asked me to come to the hospital only when I am having unbearable pain or if my contractions are 5 min apart. I just want to know if I am in labour or by when I will be in labour. I very badly want to have my baby in my arms and by the way my edd is 17 Oct
Hi there 😊, based on what you describe, it is unlikely that you are in true labor. True labor means that the contractions come in certain intervals and have a certain intensity. Most importantly though, the intensity and frequency changes over time. So, if you observe that the contractions come in closer and closer intervals and get stronger, that's a sign that you are in labor. We explain this in detail in this video: ruclips.net/video/vWG6GVOyf1g/видео.html Unfortunately no one can really tell you when you will go into labor eventually! That's something no one can predict... It could be another 3-4 weeks. It could also be tomorrow. 😊 Please don't worry about that too much! Trust us: once you are in labor, you will know! At least, your body shows you that it is preparing for labor! That's the most important thing of all! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby! ❤️

I am 36 weeks pregnant. I need help. I have mild cramps in the abdomen for the past 12 hours then it disappeared. now I have back pain that is so intense and it is about 8 hours but it looks like it's not going away
Hello Esther! ❤️ If you experience abdominal cramps, we would always talk to a doctor. It's always the safest approach. In general though, we can tell you that, very often, it happens that women experience contractions in or around week 36. They are not true labor contractions, but they are not Braxton Hicks either. Their purpose is to "press down" the baby into your pelvis, meaning, that they make your baby drop (or engage) in your pelvis. These contractions often last between 2-3 days only. And if your baby is sunny side up (i.e. facing your front), then this can be a very painful process which you will feel mostly in your back. But again, do talk with your doctor if you are having any doubt! Also, try to take a warm bath (about 20min) and see if the pain improves. If it does not improve, you should definitely talk to your doctor because it in very rare cases, a woman could also go into labor in week 36 already which would mean pre-term labor. We hope this helps and that you get better very soon!! 😘 All the best for you and your baby! ❤️
I'm 36weeks 3days I don't have any pains at all ,I'm wondering when should I start the breast stimulation and is it safe,I'm watching your videos in south Africa, they are so helpful thank you for the hard work
Hi there 😊, please note that week 36 is WAY to early to get contractions! Don't expect them before week 39. Some even get them much later. Breast stimulation will most likely not work at this point, simply because it's too early (and not safe at this point). Besides, you don't want to give birth to your baby now because you are still preterm... The best thing to do is to start preparing your cervix for labor in week 37 (exercises, acupressure, reflexology, dates) - which we show in this video: ruclips.net/video/8rehbupwhzY/видео.html and to postpone nipple stimulation to week 39.... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

If I have gone to active labour two times already by breaking my waters first (not feeling any contactions before this), I guess it's likely to happen also for the third time? 🙈 I have also been wondering if giving birth becomes a quicker process which each child? What are the statistics? 😁 My second child was born about 9 hours after my water broke, so should my third child be born quicker or should I assume it takes about the same amount of time?
Hi there 😊, good questions! 😊 So first of all, yes, studies do show that, once you gave birth to a baby, subsequent deliveries go smoother and faster UNLESS baby is not in an optimal position. But even when baby is not in an optimal position, things would normally go much faster compared to the first delivery. However, in regards to the question, how long it takes to go into active labor after the water breaks, things are not so clear. Even if you went into labor only 9 hours after your water broke with your second, it could still take longer with your third baby. But as we always say: the most important part is that the delivery itself goes fast! 😊 We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi there! 😊 unfortunately, some women go through a period of prolonged pre- or early labor. And then dilation can take much longer. However, there ARE things which a woman can try in such cases. Based on our observations, the 4 most effective tools in such a situation can be: 1. Nipple stimulation (just keep in mind that it may not be done with a few minutes per day only) 2. Reflexology 3. Acupuncture (please note: it needs to be acupuncture in your case; acupressure will normally not work in such a case); acupuncture can work particularly well when you are very stressed which may hinder labor hormones... 4. Exercises on a birthing ball Of course, there is also Castor oil. However, personally, we always treat Castor oil as last resort simply because of the side effects. Also, you can never be sure if it is going to work... Still: it can be a very effective too to go into labor... We talk more about these tools and also how to apply them in these 2 videos: ruclips.net/video/8rehbupwhzY/видео.html (reflexology, nipple stimulation) ruclips.net/video/UgrbOc4cebY/видео.html (birth ball exercises) We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth and that things go much faster for you from here on onwards! ❤️

What if I’m just having pain in lower back and pelvis that last all day but no broken water bloody show or anything just the pain? I couldn’t get comfortable even if I layed a different way or was sitting up. I was 3 cm a few weeks ago I’m almost 37 weeks now. Not really sure how dilated I am now. The pain was a little better from walking but once I sit it’s comes right back. The pain last a while like 10 minutes stops then comes back but the pain isn’t getting stronger it’s just same like 5 out of 10. So I’m not to sure if it’s contractions, Braxton hicks, or just regular pregnancy pain. So I’m not to sure if it’s worth going into hospital for if water isn’t broken or anything just pain but it’s not like I’m dying buy it does make it hard for me to get comfortable because it does feel like same pains I had with my first baby. Should I go in or not? I’ve been having pains on an off for about a week now but it’s more today than other days
Hi there Alyssa 😊, in general, if you have any doubts about seeing a doctor or not, we always recommend talking with your midwife because only they know your particular pregnancy case. So, only they are qualified to tell you what's best to do in your particular case. We can only tell you that in general, as long as your contractions do not come in closer and closer intervals, they are most likely not true labor contractions. You can also do a test: whenever you feel the pain, take a warm bath and see if the pain improves. If it does improve or even disappears then it is unlikely that you experience true labor contractions because true labor contractions do not improve by anything that you do. It is often difficult to say which stage a woman is in during the final days of a pregnancy. But there is something which is called "pre-labor" phase when contractions come and go as it pleases them and when the pattern does not really change (in terms of frequency and length). So, maybe, what you currently experience is the pre-labor phase... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
That's exactly how I felt at 36 weeks. I still feel a lot of pelvic pain and I'm currently 38 weeks and now I'm starting to feel what I think are contractions but they aren't consistent
@@evaelvira9905 Hi there Eva! 😊 Thanks a lot for sharing your case! If they are not consistent, they are most probably not true labor contractions. But this can change very quickly. You can easily do a test: take a warm bath of 20 min. If the pain gets better or even disappears then it is unlikely that you experience true labor contractions. Because true labor contractions do not disappear, no matter what you do. If the pain does not get better, then you have to observe your contractions. At some point, they will come in closer intervals, get longer and stronger. This is how you know that your labor progresses... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤
Hi there Hanna 😊, that's a tricky one! 😊 I have never seen this in any report. So, I can only guess. Probably, your doctor meant the "internal os", not cervix. So basically, your cervix consists of an "inner opening" (the opening to your uterus), which is the inner os, and an "external opening" (the opening to your vagina), the external os. Here is a picture so that you understand what I mean: www.shutterstock.com/de/image-vector/female-reproductive-system-90803414 When your cervix thins out (efface), then the external os will obviously disappear, which means that the doctor can have a better look at the internal os. And then, once your cervix starts to dilate, it's actually your internal os which opens up. In other words, it could mean that your cervix is not yet effaced. But not sure if this is what your doctor really meant. But it's my best guess! I hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby! ❤️

We believe that MOST women in week 37 feel like you do! They just cannot wait to meet their baby. And it's not just because of the excitement. They are also just very tired and exhausted and they want their body back. The only problem is: even if you want your baby out in week 37, in most cases, that's not going to work (at least not with natural labor induction). Personally, we are big fans of giving the baby the time baby needs and also to give the body the time it needs (unless of course, you are considerably overdue). The good news is: you are now really really close to your delivery!! You have made it that far. It only just takes some more time 😊
Hi there 😊, please don't be worried just yet! On average, a pregnancy lasts between 38 and 42 weeks. Therefore, at the moment, you are only just in the middle of that period! 😊 Also, please note that sometimes, babies only drop once the mother is in labor. Because then the contractions press down the baby. Admittedly, it happens more in second pregnancies, however, it CAN happen in first pregnancies too. That said, there are several things which have helped other women in similar situations: 1. Nipple stimulation (just keep in mind that it may not be done with a few minutes per day) 2. Reflexology 3. Acupuncture (mainly addressing stress level; and please note: it has to be acupuncture; acupressure would not help in your case) 4. Exercises on a birthing ball Of course, there is also Castor oil. However, please never try Castor oil without the approval of your doctor! We talk more about these tools and also how to apply them in these 2 videos: ruclips.net/video/8rehbupwhzY/видео.html (reflexology, nipple stimulation) ruclips.net/video/UgrbOc4cebY/видео.html (birth ball exercises) We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and for your baby! ❤️
So I’m 38 weeks and 2 days and 3 1/2cm dilated and 75% effaced and -1 stationed and the pelvic pain is absolutely ridiculous what can I do to speed this up….
Hi there Christina ❤️, unfortunately, some women go through a period of prolonged pre-labor (or early labor). And then dilation can take much longer than normally. However, there ARE things which a woman can try in such cases. Based on our observations, the 4 most effective tools in such a situation can be: 1. Nipple stimulation (just keep in mind that it may not be done with a few minutes per day) 2. Reflexology 3. Acupuncture (mainly addressing stress level which is naturally high if you suffer from severe pelvic pain; and please note: it has to be acupuncture; acupressure would not help in your case) 4. Exercises on a birthing ball Of course, there is also Castor oil. However, personally, we always treat Castor oil as last resort simply because of the side effects. Also, you can never be sure if it is going to work... We explain more about these tools and also how to apply them in these 2 videos: ruclips.net/video/8rehbupwhzY/видео.html (reflexology, nipple stimulation) ruclips.net/video/UgrbOc4cebY/видео.html (birth ball exercises) We hope this helps! We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth and that things go much faster for you from here on onwards! ❤️
I know I’m late but I’m going to add sex as another way to speed up the process. The sperm has prostaglandins (cervix softening stuff) in it. The whole process releases oxytocin which is the hormone active in labor. Also nipple stimulation can go hand and hand with this one.
Hi there! ❤️ Vaginismus is an automatic response of the body and it's a reaction to the fear of vaginal penetration. And the key to solve the problem are relaxation techniques, particularly breathing can help. Moreover, one thing which can also help are exercises which require gentle touching to get the vagina used to touching. In other words, systematic desensitization of the vagina. This may require time, but it can certainly help. And one thing which could also help are products like Aniball or Epi-No. Not sure if they are available in every country. However, they are balloons that you insert into the vagina in order to gradually stretch the vagina and perineum to reduce the risk of tearing. These products can probably also help with vaginismus if you systematically apply them over the period of a couple of weeks... Apart from that, we have heard that talking therapies with a professional therapist can help too. But we don't know for sure... Unfortunately, this is all we can tell you! We hope it helps you!! All the best for you and your baby! ❤️
Hi there 😊, it is difficult for us to tell you, if your blood sugar level is gonna be a problem for your delivery. It very much depends on your pregnancy case. So, we kindly ask you to consult your doctor! Also, we are not sure what you mean by "increase blood in 10 days"... What exactly is your goal? We are very sorry that we cannot be a better help here! 😬 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby! ❤️
Hi there 😊, unfortunately, this is difficult to say in general. Most importantly, there are different stages of labor. Most women go into active labor from week 38 onwards. However, before that, they can already be in early labor which is when they feel or do not feel any contractions. And then, there is also a "latent labor phase", which starts before early labor. In that phase, you may or may not experience contractions. But the problem is: even if you do, they may disappear when you take a warm bath which is why many women believe that they are Braxton Hicks when in fact, they are real. If you are feeling pain already in week 36, then it could be Braxton Hicks. So try to change your position or activity when you feel that pain and see if the pain disappears. Moreover, it could be pain in your pelvis that you are feeling because your baby has dropped. At this stage of a pregnancy, it is really difficult to say where the pain is coming from. 😊 That said, if you are concerned, you should always talk to your doctor! By the way: we talk more about how to identify real contractions in this video: ruclips.net/video/vWG6GVOyf1g/видео.html Maybe you find it helpful! All the best for you and your baby! ❤️
Hello guys.... I have a question to ask....today I am 38 weeks 6 days and I've had a brownish discharge this morning. Was that bloody show or my mucus plug I am confused. Please tell me.....
Hi there ❤️, we are very sorry but it's impossible for us to tell you that! In such cases, we kindly ask you to get in touch with your doctor. Maybe take a picture and send it to them. Only our doctor can tell you for sure! Thank you! We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby! ❤️
@@CareAboutLittleOnes hi...actually that's not possible that's why i asked you....I am from Nepal and i don't have my personal OB. Even if I go to hospital they will just check my cervix and send me home. The hospital is far from my home. But after that brownish discharge I am feeling continuous period cramping in my pelvis area which come and goes every 5 to 6 minutes gap Does that mean I am in early labor and may go into labor....please give me your suggestion
@@sukmitgurung3565 Hi there! ❤️ Oh, we are very sorry! We always assume that every person enjoys the same healthcare system than we spoilt Europeans do... 😬 If your pain comes indeed in regular intervals, like every 5-6 minutes, then it could indeed be labor. So, what you need to do is: watch out for a change of that pattern! If you are in labor, then from now on, your contractions will come in closer and closer intervals, they will get stronger and they will last longer and longer. Also, since that your contractions already come every 5-6 minutes, you might wanna call your midwife and check with her, what you are supposed to do, given the fact that your hospital is so far away... If you are in labor, we wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth!! ❤️❤️
@@CareAboutLittleOnes hi guys....I go to the hospital at 5pm cuz my pain didn't stop but I wasn't dilated at all then they checked me again at 10pm and still I wasn't dilated. But this period like pain is increasing continuously....the doctor said I am in early labor and told me to come tomorrow 9am. This pain is killing me its so sharp....why am I not dilating please tell me 😩
@@sukmitgurung3565 Hi there! ❤️ Poor you!! But don't give up!! ❤️ You will dilate as soon as your body produces contractions which are strong enough and efficient! Until then, unfortunately, it's just a waiting game! So, please don't be discouraged!! You can do it!! Keep in mind that BILLIONS of other women have successfully done what you are about to do!! We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming delivery!!! ❤️❤️
Hi there ❤️, normally, we would expect that the baby is turning head down at this point. However, there are many women whose baby has not turned by week 37. In general, it is not that easy to turn a baby in week 37 or even later because of the baby's size and because the level of amniotic fluid decreases at that stage of your pregnancy. However, one thing that did help SOME women was a combination of moxibustion and breech baby turning exercises. We explain how it works in this video: ruclips.net/video/e-kh6nxGkCk/видео.html Finally, please note that some babies really only just turn in the very last minute. 😊 We wish you all the best for you and your baby!! ❤️
Hi there! ❤️ we wholeheartedly agree with Rain_of_thoughts! Whenever you have vaginal bleeding, please go and see a doctor immediately! This is really important! All the best for you and your baby! ❤️
@@pepedangs4982 Okay, if possible, call your doctor today and ask them if it is okay to wait for tomorrow or if you should come in today already - given your bleeding! It's just for the safety of yourself and the baby! ❤️
Im 36 weeks 5 days with baby #2. I'm 2cm dilated and thinned abit (went to the hospital thinking my water broke and found out . Not sure if I dilated more.. I have been experiencing prodromal labor since 35 weeks. Today I had menstrual cramps most of the day today but got a break from the intense early labor contractions last night that was getting on and off, I was finally able to sleep last night. Is there a chance I'll go to labor early?(with my first i went into labor with in hours of losing my mucus plug and bloody show..I lost my plug in pieces this pregnancy from 33 weeks on and had my bloody show on Friday still no full-blown labor yet)
Hello Ashleigh ❤️, obviously, you are going through A LOT and we are very sorry to hear that! Feeling these very intense contractions - although you are not really in labor - is probably the meanest thing that can possibly happen, particularly, because you don’t know if there is gonna be an end anytime soon. Your case reminds us of a woman that came to the clinic about 2 years ago. She too suffered from prodromal labor which started early week 36 and then suddenly stopped early week 37. And then, 1 or 2 days after the prodromal labor contractions stopped, she lost her mucus plug (and had a bloody show). BUT: eventually, she only went into active labor one week later. Unfortunately, it is impossible to say if it is going to happen for you in a similar time frame. It is true that NORMALLY a woman goes into labor within days (sometimes hours) after losing her mucus plug and after having a bloody show. However, as you can see, other women may have to wait another week (sometimes longer) for their labor to start. So, there is really no way to tell how it’s gonna be in your case… On a positive note, every single woman with prodromal labor that we have treated so far at the clinic eventually had a superfast labor and delivery. So, hopefully this will be the case for you too! We really wish you that the rest of your pregnancy won’t be such a torture for you!! All the best for you and your baby!! ❤️❤️
@@CareAboutLittleOnes thank you ! I finally got two days break sort of, more so at night when it was really bad. I just get the occasional painful one, tightening and pressure during the day now. It's a relieve. I can get a break and gain some energy for whenever the real thing is going to happen. I can't wait until he is here ❤
@@ashleighflood6262 Thanks god you can get at least SOME rest! We really wish you that from this point forward, things are more relaxed (well, at least as relaxed as they can possibly be at the end of a pregnancy). Plus, we can totally understand that you cannot wait to hold your son in your hands! It's an incredible feeling that we are very familiar with ;-)
Thanks so much for watching this video!
@@aysha7350 Hi there again Aysha 😊,
that's good news!! When your belly is now hanging lower, it means that your baby is most likely engaged!

@@aysha7350 That's really very kind of you to say!! Thanks SO MUCH for this incredibly sweet feedback!! 🥰❤️😍

@@CareAboutLittleOnes thank you!
I’m 2-3cm dilated (depending on who’s measuring) and I’ve been stuck here for weeks. I would not advise telling people that 2-3cm means labor is 24-48hrs away. You could stay there for weeks.
Hi there Alexis 😊,
thanks for sharing your concerns! 😊
Well, actually, we use words like "normally" and "chances are" throughout this video in order to account for the fact that this may not be true for all women!
All the best for you and your baby! ❤️
Totally agree! I was 4 for 3 weeks.
I'm 2cm and going in on Tuesday for a induction 🙏
Same here - 3-4 cm dilated for a week now. 😅
I am also at that stage-been at 3cm for more than a week.

Hi there Stayce 😊,
thanks a lot for sharing your case! 😊
The good news here is that your body already started to dilate! So, at least, you can see that your body is preparing for labor. 😊
That said, there are many things which have helped other women in similar situations to go into labor:
1. Nipple stimulation (just keep in mind that it may not be done with a few minutes per day).
2. Reflexology (same as nipple stimulation: it may not be done with a few minutes per day only)
3. Acupuncture (this can work particularly well if your stress levels are really high; and please note: it has to be acupuncture; acupressure would most probably not help in your case)
4. Exercises on a birthing ball
Of course, there is also Castor oil. However, personally, we always treat Castor oil as last resort simply because of the side effects. Also, you can never be sure if it is going to work... Still, it CAN be super effective for labor induction.
We talk more about these tools and also how to apply them in these 2 videos:
ruclips.net/video/8rehbupwhzY/видео.html (reflexology, nipple stimulation, Castor oil)
ruclips.net/video/UgrbOc4cebY/видео.html (birth ball exercises)
Moreover, please also try to relax as good as possible! We know, it's not easy. But please try not to put too much pressure on yourself because this would just cause a lot of stress! And stress COULD prevent you from going into labor. So please, try to find ways to relax (meditation, yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, a back massage - whatever you find most relaxing!)
We hope this helps! 😊
We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️
Update:
At 40 weeks 5 days I was still at 2cm and no sign of labor insight.
I’ve tried all of the labor inducing tips and tricks (except for castor oil) and nothing has worked for me. I think my baby is too comfortable in my belly 🤷🏽♀️
I am getting induced at 40 weeks 6 days, wish me luck!
@@koalakisser9769 Hey Stayce 😊,
thanks a lot for the update!
We are very sorry to hear that it did not work for you! 😬
Unfortunately, the reality is that even in our clinic, we cannot always help a woman go into labor naturally. And we still haven't found the reason, why it is not working for some women.
That said, not even scientists can explain why some tools work for some women, but not for others. But maybe, it's just as you say: baby feels too comfortable in there! 😊
So, all we can tell you now is: try nipple stimulation (although you have tried it already)!

Hi there 😘,
please don't worry too much! Inductions at 40 weeks are very likely to be successful! So, please don't be worried just yet that you are going to need a C-section! We are sure everything will be fine!
Sending you lots of prayers!! 😘😘

How did it go in the end?
Then there are those of us whose water doesn’t break until baby is crowning, and are 3cm for 3 weeks before hand. I also nest 8-12 weeks before baby.

Hi there 😊,
2cm dilated a 39 weeks is great. This together with the fact that you are experiencing lots of braxton hicks contractions and pelvic pressure CAN mean that labor is very close.

I am 39 weeks . Still no signs of labour. Expecting normal delivery. Watching your videos and getting encouragement. Hope to get reply from you !
Hi there Aysha 😊,
thanks a lot for sharing!
1. Nipple stimulation (just keep in mind that it may not be done with a few minutes per day)
We talk more about these tools and also how to apply them in these 2 videos: ruclips.net/video/8rehbupwhzY/видео.html (reflexology, nipple stimulation)
ruclips.net/video/UgrbOc4cebY/видео.html (birth ball exercises)
Most importantly though, please stop to worry! Worries and stress won't help you go into labor. So, ask your partner for a nice back massage, try yoga, meditation, acupuncture whatever you find relaxing!
We hope this helps! 😊
We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming delivery, for you and your baby! ❤️

poor you!! ❤️ You are probably completely stressed out right now!!
But please don't worry just yet!! First of all, on average, a pregnancy lasts between 38 and 42 weeks. Everything within that range is considered "normal".

Hi there Chelsey 😊,
oh poor you!! 😩 Yes, sometimes, dilation does not progress in a steady line which is why it can happen that women get "stuck" and nothing happens. 😩😩
However, there are many things that a woman can try to progress:
1. Nipple stimulation (just keep in mind that it may not be done with a few minutes per day)

Hi there Eli 😊,
thanks a lot for your lovely comment! 😘 We are very happy to hear that you like our work!! 😊
Unfortunately, so far, we have not done a video on home birth.

33 weeks first time pregnant....scared about delivery everything.
Hi there Lahore! 😊
We totally understand that you are scared! And please believe us when we tell you that every woman feels the same way, particularly, when it's her first pregnancy. We meet such women every day at the clinic. 😊
However, let us also tell you that, no matter how scared they were, every single one of them eventually gave birth to their baby!
Am 39+5 days . There are contractions but they stop. My edd is 13 April 2021. What must I do am tired now i want to hold my baby boy please help
Hi there ❤️,
Poor you!! We can totally understand! Every woman who was pregnant can relate to how you are feeling right now! At some point, you are just soooo tired and exhausted and you just want your body back!! But most importantly, you want to hold your baby in your arms!! ❤️❤️
Some things that have helped other women in your situation are the following ones:
In this video, we explain how it works: ruclips.net/video/8rehbupwhzY/видео.html

Hi there 😘,
we are sorry to hear that you were involved in a car accident! ☹️
Unfortunately, it is not possible to tell us if you could be going into labor earlier.
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

I am 40weeks and 3days pregnant today and I just lost my mucus plug this morning. Is it a sign that my labor will start anytime?
Hi there Joreen 😊,
not necessarily! Unfortunately, this is very different from woman to woman. Some go into labor within days after losing the mucus plug. Others don't go into labor for another week or 2... However, what it DOES tell you is that your body is preparing for labor! And that's the most important thing to know! 😊
We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️
I am 36weeks2days now,
Still close cervix..what can i do to open my cervix???
Hi there 😉,
week 36 is really a bit early for the cervix to dilate 😉.
We hope this helps 😉

I had c section 4 years back and then d n c 3 years ago. Now after 3 years I m pregnant again can I have normal delivery?
Hi there 😊,
many women have a successful VBAC, particularly if the gap is longer than 2 years. So yes, in general, this is possible.
However, whether you can have a normal delivery this time or not, depends on a couple of factors. We recorded a video on this topic. Can you please search for "VBAC" using the search bar on our channel? 😊

Unfortunately, there are not really any "reliable" signs of labor. However, we recorded this video (ruclips.net/video/v_nPARnW1e4/видео.html) which summarizes what we believe are the "most" reliable ones among the ones that exist...

Hi there 😘,
we are sorry to hear that! Normally, they would try an induction first. It is quite uncommon to go straight for a C-section... 😬
NORMALLY, when your water breaks, they would wait for 48 hours. If contractions have not started during that period, they would induce...
This is - at least - the policy in many hospitals in Europe...
We hope this helps! 😘

You’re not confused. Tell them what you want. You are in control of your body! Don’t go and wait ❤
Hi there 😘,
it is not a surprise that you are confused!

Hi there 😊,
wow your 4th!! Congratulations!! 😍 And thanks so much for sharing with us! 😊
Not sure how you experienced your pre-labor phase during your second and third pregnancy, however, it is not uncommon for second-time moms (or in your case: fourth-time moms!!) to experience no signs at all for the longest time.

Hi there 😊,
for some women, this may be true. However, in most cases, a bloody show is not a sign that labor is about to start. You can have a bloody show and not go into labor for weeks.
So, unfortunately, a bloody sign is normally not a reliable sign that labor is close... 😊

How long can first time moms wait ? Currently 40 weeks and 4 days haven’t felt and labor signs
Hi there 😘,
unfortunately, that's difficult to say in general because it very much depends on the case!

Hello there,
I'm 39 weeks pregnant, my due date is September 28. Yesterday I had a checkup and my doctor told me that I'm not dilating and my pelvis is very high. She said that the chances of natural delivery are very low and asked me to come on my due date for C-section. Is there any way I can have natural delivery??
Hi there 😊,
just to clarify: did your doctor really say your pelvis is high? Or did you mean your baby is high above your pelvis?
Also, did she give you any additional information, like is your cervix soft or enfaced, is your cervix posterior or anterior, is your baby engaged etc.?
Looking forward to your reply!
@@CareAboutLittleOnes thank you for your reply. She said your baby's head is very high and your cervix is not opening.
In my file she wrote the remarks "Pelvis borderline
So, ask your doctor: "why do you expect me to dilate without me having any contractions???"
Also, when she says the baby is very high, it does not mean anything.
@@CareAboutLittleOnes Thank you for detailed response. I'll ask these details before making final decision. Much love ❤️
I have a cerclage in place and am 34 weeks. Can my water break if am 24 to 48 hours away ?
Hi there 😊,
please note that a cerclage has no effect on whether or not your water is going to break! IF your water breaks at all, it will most likely happen later in your pregnancy (when it's your time). And yes, when it does, then labor normally starts within 24-48 hours... 😊
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
hello.... i have been watching ur videos since a week ... Really really great informations.. I'm very thankful to you both...
I have a doubt in this.... these simpltoms appears only if I'm ready for normal delivery right?
Hi there! You are MOST welcome!! We are super grateful if you find our videos helpful!!❤️😊
Yes, you are right!
We hope this helps 😊
Hi guys, how do we differentiate urine and amniotic fluid when water breaks ?
Sorry if it's a silly question. I am in my 38+4 weeks pregnant and waiting for labour symptoms.
I heard we might not be able to differentiate. Plz let me know how to know so that I can rush to hospital immediately.
Hi there 😊,

I respectfully disagree with the fact that being 3 cm dilated means you're going into labor within 24-48 h. You can be dilated for weeks before you can actually go into labor. Where did you get that info?
Hi there 😊,
you are 100% right!

Hi there 😊,
please note that first of all, not every pregnancy is the same, particularly not when it comes to dilation.
We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️
Correction: we wanted to say: it also makes an induction more likely to be a success, in case you don't go into labor spontaneously ;-)

Hi there 😊,
based on what you describe here, it very much looks like you are going into labor.
We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️
P.S.: As always, please don't hesitate to call your midwife in case you are worried in any way about what you experience!

38 weeks 2 days today. I've had no signs at all that baby is coming anytime soon!!
Hi there 😊,
please note that on average, a pregnancy lasts between 38 and 42 weeks. Therefore, it is still early days in terms of seeing any early signs of labor. Of course, some women do, don't get us wrong. But the majority of women is only going to see early signs of labor once they are closer to their due date.
With that said, what we do at the clinic is, we normally start preparing women for labor from week 37 of a pregnancy onwards, for example, with the tools that we explain in this video: ruclips.net/video/8rehbupwhzY/видео.html
Maybe you find this video helpful! 😊

Hi there 😊,
first of all, please note that a woman can still go into labor, even when the cervix is posterior and the head not fixed yet.

Hi there..
You both are doing great job.i am 36wks 2 days pregnant.i have mild contractions for 3 hrs.but now it has stopped.is it the sign of early labor r Braxton Hicks ?
Hi there! 😊
Did you notice that your belly has dropped after the contractions stopped?
It is very common for women to have contractions for 2-3 days in week 36 of their pregnancy. They have the purpose of "pressing" the baby down the pelvis (i.e. to engage the baby). Interestingly, there is not really a term for this kind of contractions in the English literature. However, they are not a sign of early labor and technically, they are not Braxton Hicks either...
We hope this helps! 😊
All the best for you and your baby!
Hi there 😊,
based on what you describe, it is unlikely that you are in true labor. True labor means that the contractions come in certain intervals and have a certain intensity. Most importantly though, the intensity and frequency changes over time. So, if you observe that the contractions come in closer and closer intervals and get stronger, that's a sign that you are in labor. We explain this in detail in this video: ruclips.net/video/vWG6GVOyf1g/видео.html
Unfortunately no one can really tell you when you will go into labor eventually! That's something no one can predict... It could be another 3-4 weeks. It could also be tomorrow. 😊
Please don't worry about that too much! Trust us: once you are in labor, you will know!

I am 36 weeks pregnant. I need help. I have mild cramps in the abdomen for the past 12 hours then it disappeared. now I have back pain that is so intense and it is about 8 hours but it looks like it's not going away
Hello Esther! ❤️
If you experience abdominal cramps, we would always talk to a doctor.
All the best for you and your baby! ❤️
I'm 36weeks 3days I don't have any pains at all ,I'm wondering when should I start the breast stimulation and is it safe,I'm watching your videos in south Africa, they are so helpful thank you for the hard work
Hi there 😊,
please note that week 36 is WAY to early to get contractions!

Hi there 😊,
good questions! 😊
So first of all, yes, studies do show that, once you gave birth to a baby, subsequent deliveries go smoother and faster UNLESS baby is not in an optimal position.
We hope this helps! 😊
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
I’m 37 weeks 5 days and 4 cm dilated is there anything I can do to speed up my dilation ? I need my water to break soon .
Hi there! 😊
unfortunately, some women go through a period of prolonged pre- or early labor. And then dilation can take much longer. However, there ARE things which a woman can try in such cases. Based on our observations, the 4 most effective tools in such a situation can be:
1. Nipple stimulation (just keep in mind that it may not be done with a few minutes per day only)
2. Reflexology
3. Acupuncture (please note: it needs to be acupuncture in your case; acupressure will normally not work in such a case); acupuncture can work particularly well when you are very stressed which may hinder labor hormones...
4. Exercises on a birthing ball
Of course, there is also Castor oil. However, personally, we always treat Castor oil as last resort simply because of the side effects. Also, you can never be sure if it is going to work... Still: it can be a very effective too to go into labor...
We talk more about these tools and also how to apply them in these 2 videos: ruclips.net/video/8rehbupwhzY/видео.html (reflexology, nipple stimulation)

Hi there Alyssa 😊,
in general, if you have any doubts about seeing a doctor or not, we always recommend talking with your midwife because only they know your particular pregnancy case.
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!!

Hi natalie!
I'm 38w + 2 days, my USG shows "Internal cervix not well seen"
What does that mean??
I've not got labour pains till now...
Hi there Hanna 😊,
that's a tricky one! 😊
I have never seen this in any report. So, I can only guess. Probably, your doctor meant the "internal os", not cervix. So basically, your cervix consists of an "inner opening" (the opening to your uterus), which is the inner os, and an "external opening" (the opening to your vagina), the external os.
Here is a picture so that you understand what I mean:
www.shutterstock.com/de/image-vector/female-reproductive-system-90803414
When your cervix thins out (efface), then the external os will obviously disappear, which means that the doctor can have a better look at the internal os. And then, once your cervix starts to dilate, it's actually your internal os which opens up.
In other words, it could mean that your cervix is not yet effaced. But not sure if this is what your doctor really meant. But it's my best guess!
I hope this helps! 😊

Is it okay to wish to deliver at 37 weeks? Im so excited. Im currently at 35 weeks.
It only just takes some more time 😊
@@CareAboutLittleOnes thank you! Yes im so excited!
I am 40 weeks and two days pregnant, my due date passed but I have no sign of active labor. I am getting worried why my baby isn't dropping :((
Hi there 😊,
please don't be worried just yet! On average, a pregnancy lasts between 38 and 42 weeks. Therefore, at the moment, you are only just in the middle of that period! 😊
Also, please note that sometimes, babies only drop once the mother is in labor. Because then the contractions press down the baby. Admittedly, it happens more in second pregnancies, however, it CAN happen in first pregnancies too.
That said, there are several things which have helped other women in similar situations:
1. Nipple stimulation (just keep in mind that it may not be done with a few minutes per day)
2. Reflexology
3. Acupuncture (mainly addressing stress level; and please note: it has to be acupuncture; acupressure would not help in your case)
4. Exercises on a birthing ball
Of course, there is also Castor oil. However, please never try Castor oil without the approval of your doctor!
We talk more about these tools and also how to apply them in these 2 videos: ruclips.net/video/8rehbupwhzY/видео.html (reflexology, nipple stimulation)

So I’m 38 weeks and 2 days and 3 1/2cm dilated and 75% effaced and -1 stationed and the pelvic pain is absolutely ridiculous what can I do to speed this up….
Hi there Christina ❤️,
unfortunately, some women go through a period of prolonged pre-labor (or early labor). And then dilation can take much longer than normally. However, there ARE things which a woman can try in such cases. Based on our observations, the 4 most effective tools in such a situation can be:
1. Nipple stimulation (just keep in mind that it may not be done with a few minutes per day)
2. Reflexology
3. Acupuncture (mainly addressing stress level which is naturally high if you suffer from severe pelvic pain; and please note: it has to be acupuncture; acupressure would not help in your case)
4. Exercises on a birthing ball
Of course, there is also Castor oil. However, personally, we always treat Castor oil as last resort simply because of the side effects. Also, you can never be sure if it is going to work...
We explain more about these tools and also how to apply them in these 2 videos: ruclips.net/video/8rehbupwhzY/видео.html (reflexology, nipple stimulation)

We hope this helps!

@@jbfan8016 Congratulations!
I figured you already had your baby. Someone may read it who hasn’t yet that was also wondering.
Do you know about vaginismus? I have it, 36 weeks n nervous about tearing.
Hi there! ❤️
Vaginismus is an automatic response of the body and it's a reaction to the fear of vaginal penetration.
I am in your exact position and I second their advice, the aniball has helped immensely.

Am in 9th month pregnant but my blood 7.6 points any problem and how to increase blood in 10 days?
Hi there 😊,
it is difficult for us to tell you, if your blood sugar level is gonna be a problem for your delivery. It very much depends on your pregnancy case. So, we kindly ask you to consult your doctor!
Also, we are not sure what you mean by "increase blood in 10 days"... What exactly is your goal?
We are very sorry that we cannot be a better help here! 😬
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby! ❤️
Could u tell me plz mostly labour start from which week?actually its my 36 week and o always feel pain😶
Hi there 😊,
unfortunately, this is difficult to say in general.
That said, if you are concerned, you should always talk to your doctor!
Hi there ❤️,
we are very sorry but it's impossible for us to tell you that! In such cases, we kindly ask you to get in touch with your doctor. Maybe take a picture and send it to them. Only our doctor can tell you for sure!
Thank you!

@@CareAboutLittleOnes hi...actually that's not possible that's why i asked you....I am from Nepal and i don't have my personal OB. Even if I go to hospital they will just check my cervix and send me home. The hospital is far from my home. But after that brownish discharge I am feeling continuous period cramping in my pelvis area which come and goes every 5 to 6 minutes gap
Does that mean I am in early labor and may go into labor....please give me your suggestion
@@sukmitgurung3565 Hi there! ❤️
Oh, we are very sorry! We always assume that every person enjoys the same healthcare system than we spoilt Europeans do... 😬
If your pain comes indeed in regular intervals, like every 5-6 minutes, then it could indeed be labor.
Poor you!!
I'm 37weeks. But my baby head is not yet turn down. Is it normal to have breech baby at 37 week?
Hi there ❤️,
normally, we would expect that the baby is turning head down at this point.
We explain how it works in this video: ruclips.net/video/e-kh6nxGkCk/видео.html
Finally, please note that some babies really only just turn in the very last minute. 😊
We wish you all the best for you and your baby!!

Hello Ashleigh ❤️,
obviously, you are going through A LOT and we are very sorry to hear that!
So, there is really no way to tell how it’s gonna be in your case…
On a positive note, every single woman with prodromal labor that we have treated so far at the clinic eventually had a superfast labor and delivery.
