    This is one of the most important and not publicised pieces of health information that needs to be known… I always was taught snacking was bad for you because of the extra calories and now I understand it is because eating between meals prevents the gut doing a bacteria cleanse essential for digestive and anti inflammatory health! I already do time restricted eating but will now leave 5hours between meals. Thank you.

    So what exactly is the Gut? … Is it only the colon (large intestine)? I think a lot of people don’t know what “The Gut” is. Including me …

      I’m not a doctor or a scientist, but I believe the gut is usually taken to mean the combination of the small and the large intestines.

    Do you think the blood pressure will be down in this 5 hours time between meals? Then low blood pressure would be the another issue

    Hard not to snake, we are surrounded by junk food everywhere. You see medical staffs don't take of their health but trying to take care of you. OK, I'm on two meals a day, sometimes snaking gets the better of me.

      @@kimchee94112 Oh, that makes a lot more sense. Thanks. “Snake” and “snaking” was giving me some wild ideas. I thought, “Is there something called “snaking” I haven’t heard of before?”

    Hi. So would the approach be to only consume water between meals? Would tea/coffee count in this instance as a snack as there would be some digestion required I imagine...

      Tea/coffee are fine (although try to keep it to am for the caffeine). If you remove the milk, they don't really interfere with digestion/fasting
