@@ellisvernon8285 I have not, This technique is more likely to work on vertical juicers than horizontal, twin gear or high-speed juicers. OF course, ultimate success or failure will depend on the specific design of the juicer.

I'm curious if any of the commenters have actually tried to do this. I did about 20 minutes ago and it was a nightmare. I was very carefully to follow your instructions. Very firm bananas. Cut the same size you did. Did not work at all. Like, not even close. What came out was a very small amount of watery grey sludge. 90%+ of the material stayed in the machine. Cleaning afterward has also revealed that banana skins will create a glue like film on everything that I still am working on getting off. I know the first instinct will be to say the bananas weren't firm enough. They could not be more firm. Assuming this video is not misleading, the only alternative I can think of is that you did not use bananas, but instead plantains. Perhaps unintentionally. These may look this same, but are completely different. I also believe that given the browning you show in the video. Raw plantains would also be very firm and MAYBE could be juiced. I'm trying to give the benefit of the doubt here. I would love to hear the experience of anyone else that actually tries this with bananas.
We tested with bananas and plaintains. Yellow, green, and ripe. We could not duplicate this in the Nama J2.
First, I would like to say this video is on the level, and did work as I show. What I will also say is that these are standard ORGANIC bananas (cavendish) cultivar. These are not plantains. What I will also say is that I visited several grocery stores to buy the "perfect" bananas to juice with the Nama J2, if they were too soft, I did not purchase them. I have only juiced bananas once so far, and it was for this video. I just purchased more bananas, and will try again. It sounds like there may be some nuisance involved, when juicing bananas, which I will learn more about and try to figure out why it worked for me, but may not be working for others.
I was getting sludge from oranges, tomatoes or melons so I contacted Namawell. They said the augar and other parts on my J2 should be replaced with more durable parts they are now making. I bought mine in April 2022. The warranty was applied and I saved $170 USD on several parts w free shipping!
Thanks for your comments. I apologize for your experience attempting to make banana juice in the Nama J2. When I made this video, it was the first time I made banana juice, and have learned many things since then.
First, this video is legit. I duplicated juicing bananas at the heirloom expo in front of some ladies so they could verify, you can watch that video at ruclips.net/video/QATHcbNRmHY/видео.html
Second, these factors are critical for this process to work:
1. I selected only ORGANIC Firm bananas that were mostly yellow and a little green to juice. It is critical to get bananas that are not too soft or too firm.
2. You must juice at least 5-6 bananas. Bananas have the lowest water content of all fruits (70%) and don't have a lot of liquid. Juice does not start to come out until after the machine has processed several bananas. Using 1 or 2 or even 3 may not yield juice either.
3. The glue-like substance that you describe is the naturally occurring latex from bananas. Jackfruit also contains a similar latex. To remove it you must first use only coconut oil to remove the sticky latex off the auger, and then follow that with soap and water.
4. I did NOT use plantains.

Yes, they dropped the shipping fee for Australia, but they raised the price of the juicer! Now, you are forced to pay in Australian Dollars, which is $120 more than you would pay in USD. I’ve checked, and the same applies to the UK and EU models (you are forced to pay in GBP and EUR). The price difference is even worse for them. I wouldn’t expect that practice from Nama company. John, please edit the video and make people aware that despite the lower shipping fees, the final price is the same and may be even worse depending on the currency rates.

Very smart idea! But I have to ask you, how is the machine to clean out afterwards? Isnt it sticky and hard to clean after banana? I tried innerpart of durianpeel on my youtube channel, and its hard to clean rhe styckyness!
Like Jackfruit, Banana Peels contain a latex that makes the auger sticky. Using Soap alone will not easily remove the latex. So you must use some coconut oil, on the auger to breakdown the latex, then use soap to clean off the oil. The Nama J2 Takes me 4 minutes to clean. Wow. Crazy expensive to ship to T&T. I would recommend getting it shipped to a freight forwarder in Florida and it will cost less.
I tried it with organic green bananas with peels and threw in some strawberries. Tastes awesome! But the auger on my nama is now sticky even after washing it with Dawn and hot water. Screen is fine. Any ideas why that would happen. Thanks for the demo!

YES! There is naturally occurring latex content in bananas like there is in Jackfruit. So to remove it, use some coconut oil and rub it over the sticky part and brush clean. Then use some soap to remove the oil from the auger.
Hi John years ago l saw you showing a juicer that do cold press that can make coconut oil, coconut butter and coconut cream, my question can this juicer do those also?
I have not tested this juicer for doing these functions at this point. I do not recommend the Nama J2 for making coconut oil, as there are better machines (such as the Sana 727 + oil making attachment) to do such a task. The nama j2 was not designed to make coconut cream, but should work, if all shell fragments are removed, but the coconuts must be manually fed. I have made nut butter (not coconut butter) in the Nama J2, which works fine, so I would suspect coconut butter would also work, but I have not tried. ruclips.net/video/kC5wABNFpWM/видео.html
Did you use the juicing screen of the smoothie screen?
This was using the juicing screen. The Smoothie (coarse screen) would probably have been better to use, to allow for more fiber in the juice :)
There seems to be a lot of soft pulp left in the top container of the machine. Maybe put a citrus fruit or a celery to clear the screen at the end. But I think it's still messy to clean a lot of soft banana off the screen.
There was because I shut it off when the glass was full. After I was done with the video, I turned the juicer back on to juice the rest, which it done without issue.
Does the void vacuum lid fit in the osterizer blender??
No. The void vacuum blender lid is designed to fit all blendtec 4 side and wild side carafes only. It will also fit the void containers that will fit a vitamix or void systems blender

other than the convenience of being able to walk away from the Nampa 2 while it is juicing, is there a is there something else magical about it or can I juice bananas in an Omega 843 can I use the vacuum dynapro?

I take ur advice and use ur promo code for the Nama J2. Its arrives and l use it for 30 mins make an attempt to clean it and its stuck on the base. No customer support for nama and not 1 video on youtube explaining what to do if the J2 gets stuck…lm returning this cheap plastic crap in the morning
I apologize for your experience. Would love to learn more about what you were juicing in the Nama J2. It is really rare I hear of people have challenges with the Nama J2. I find that it is really important to properly precut and load the hopper to ensure proper operation.
how do you deal with the pesticides on the skin as most bananas have and not easy to always find organic bananas
Here in the USA, Organic Bananas can be found fairly easily. Most Grocery Stores Sell Organic Bananas, even walmart! I would only juice organic bananas. If you use conventional. If you do need to remove pesticides here are some methods that may work
Soak in salt water using Himalayan salt or sea salt for 20 minutes
Mix one teaspoon of baking soda with every two cups of cold water and soak your produce
Soak in vinegar (any type) and water for 20 minutes
That being said the physical act of scrubbing the outside of fruits and vegetables may give the best results, which is what I did on these organic vegetables in this episode, while spraying high pressure water.

@@discountjuicers John as you know ‘Organic’ does not mean no pesticides have been applied and that some Organic pesticides are more toxic than conventional. Also the boxes that bananas are shipped in are sprayed as well. Thank you for all you do!
Surely unripe isn’t best for us though even if it makes it go through the juicer better?
There are PROS and CONS to unripe bananas. I encourage people to get ALL the benefits of bananas to eat them at different stages of maturity. For example, when more unripe, there are more resistant starch that can benefit our microbiome. Furthermore Using this method a person will get to benefit from the nutrients in the SKIN of the banana which studies show have more micronutrients than the banana flesh itself. OF course, when bananas are more ripe, they contain higher levels of sugar, which might not be the best for people with blood sugar issues.

I talk about adding in carrots with bananas, due to the more HARD texture to help the softer pulp of the banana to better go thru the machine. I also mention Jicama. Apples have a softer texture, so they would not be optimal for the task that I am describing. However, apples can be juiced in the Nama J2.

NAMA J2 NR1 JUICER
Bought the Nama J2 from Namawell. Assembled today after watching videos and reading manual, it did not turn on. Unassembled, reassembled, used different outlet - even set a level on the hopper cap - did not turn on. Emailed Namawell, waiting for their reply. Disappointed.
It was operator error - me! Need to assemble the chamber/hopper BEFORE putting it on the base. Made my first 32 oz today.
It is important that the juice is assembled properly or it will not turn on. This happens to many customers.
