Can a cheap Amazon juicer rival the Nama J2?

- Опубликовано: 12 июн 2024
- The Nama J2 juicer is GREAT but expensive. I am on a mission to find comparable juicers that are much less expensive so that we can all get the benefits of juicing without breaking the bank.
In this video, I am comparing the Nama J2 juicer with an Amazon Juicer named Canoly (or Canoly-003) that (from the images) looked similar. As a person who likes the style of the Nama, I wanted to try other versions like it. I compare
- Juicer parts
- Difficulty in cleaning
- Juice quality
and more!
If you have been eyeballing an Amazon juicer but are unsure about the quality and want me to test it against my Nama J2, let me know in the comments below, along with the link!

What about from veggies???
Great question! I haven’t tried juicing veggies yet. I’ll give it a try and get back to you
Haven’t forgotten about you! 🙂 I decided to make a video testing this juicer against veggies and greens after seeing your comment. You can find the video here if you haven’t seen it already! ruclips.net/video/QhqR1xk2fGY/видео.htmlsi=B95xt3rG0Yj6wTNz
Pomegranates?
Yes does veggies great
Love this!!! I for me I’d rather buy the more affordable juicer and put the cost savings towards buying high quality produce
Now that’s smart thinking! 💡💚
But if you use it for ten years the 2 percent extra nutrients are nice
I thought the Nama was suppose to make more juice, thus saving more money on produce in the long run
@@Mscookie3131I think this video disproves that claim
Thank you. I'm thinking about investing in a juicer and I didn't know the cons and pros of one. I'm glad I came across this video🙂👍

Thanks for the review! I've decided on the Nama J2 you can load a whole recipe and let the juicer do the work for you + bigger hopper and 15 years warranty...can't beat that!
Thank you for watching! 💚 And yes, can’t beat that. The Nama is amazing.
Very cool video, this is canoly juicer is what I wanted to see in action. Thank you so much. I plan on getting the bigger more powerful canoly juicer now after seeing this. 🤙🏾

@@yeshalester I just ordered the the namaC2. I always make pineapple/ginger juice. Thank you for your help.
The Amazon juicer is a good one i have it and the clean up is easy as well does vegetables well to
What is the Amazon one called
I looked this up on Amazon and they have a larger sized model for $189 - currently offering a $40 coupon off of that too. I wonder if the larger/higher powered version produces better than the smaller version you’re comparing. BTW, I have the Nama J2 and I love it. I probably would have still purchased the Nama - pricier but the 15 year warranty just can’t be beat. However, this Amazon juicer seems like a great alternative for those who don’t want to spend a lot.
That’s not bad at all! The larger model may be the solution. I may have to give that one a try because even the smaller one hasn’t disappointed me so far.
And I agree with you. The 15 year warranty had me sold and the quality is amazing, consistently.
Thanks for sharing this info!

I was just looking at the Nama J2 and then Your Channel pops up. I am convinced I should invest in the Jama as it leaves more nutrients in the juice and that's the purpose of juicing IMO. Thank You for the demonstration of both
The Nama in my opinion is my favorite investment because it was an investment towards my better health. Either way, Excited for you and your soon-to-be juicing journey! Thank you for watching! 💚
Great review Thank you
Thanks for watching! 💚
Your video is interesting. Keep up the good work 😊.
Thank you!! 😄
Thank you very informative
Great video. Loved the comparison. The darker juice from the nama looked oxidized at first but from your perspective it was thicker. I wonder if the strainer mesh are different hence the different colors
Thank you! 🙏🏽
Yes, the apple juices oxidized pretty quick, moving forward I’ll put a lid on it to keep the origin color while recording. & Hmm 🤔 That very well may be the cause. Something I’ll experiment with because Nama came with two strainer meshes.. I wonder will there be a difference even with using the same juicer.
Because when drinking the juices, the Nama was thicker but also had a fuller taste. The other wasn’t bad though, just had a thinner consistency and a slightly less fuller taste (if that makes any sense 😅) but it still wasn’t too huge of a difference in my opinion.
Very helpful video
🙏🏽 thank you!

I love my Nama J2 Juicer it is beginner friendly and has been a great asset to me!! If you can invest in it get or get it on payments it is worth the buy!!

I had a similar Amazon juicer, and the juice extractor attached to the base does come out. Just push down a little and then twist to the left or right(I can’t remember🤔) but it will come right out for cleaning. Great video, btw☺️

Thanks!!!!!! I am going to buy it.

Great review sold on the less expensive juicer
Thank you! Glad to help 💚🙏🏽☺️
I love that you did this. I’ve been looking at the J2 and my husband said I could have it for my birthday/Mother’s Day but it’s so hard for me to spend $500 on a small kitchen appliance. I mean you can buy ovens and fridges for that much! I know the Nama has a 15 year warranty, does the Amazon one come with a decent warranty?
You’re right! It is definitely a large investment but I love the 15 year warranty. It gives me peace of mind. I am unable to find a warranty for the Amazon one so that concerns me a bit. I’d recommend buying the Amazon one and trying it out. You would have 30 days to return it for a full refund if you don’t like it or decide that you prefer to make that investment in the Nama after reviewing the trade offs of the two.
Nama J2 is the best. You don't have to reach in the hopper to remove stuck fruit or vegs. Just turn the knob in reverse to dislodge any stuck items.
I agree! And yes I have to remember to use that function more 😅
Thankyou this was very helpful😊 I think as a starter juicer it is a good option for someone who is looking for a affordable option & getting the extended warranty in case the motor fails.
Thank you for watching! Glad it was helpful 💚 great idea on the extended warranty if they have one.
I just started juicing this month. I have the Nama J2. Love your videos.
That’s exciting! Enjoy your juicing journey! 😃 & Thank you for watching and supporting the channel! 🫶🏽
Filter or strainer is for juice other is for a smoothie. You did a wonderful job. I may get the smaller one. The Nama is heavy.
Thank you! ☺️🙏🏽 and yes, I agree, the Nama is heavy (especially the base of it). The lighter weight is one of the things I liked about the smaller one as well.

Thank you for letting me know! 😂 The ball = Alger.
And thank you for sharing! The Nama is the best 💚
I bought the conoly and the plastic around the filter broke after about 2 months of use. Couldn’t find any replacement parts and there wasn’t a warranty. I would recommend buying the J2 just for the 15 year warranty
Oh wow.. Thank you so much for sharing. The no warranty is definitely a concern.

Hello, new subscriber here. I love juicing. I have the Nama J2 as well. I love it. You may already know this; but, if you turn the knob to reverse, you won’t have to stick your hand in to lose the fruit. Thank you for sharing.
You know… I always forget that’s an option during the process 😅😂 Thank you for sharing and subscribing! 💚🫶🏽
I recently got the NUTRIBULLET Juicer, but I realizes that SLOW PRESS or COLD PRESS are the best version of juicer to get. However I think the more expensive one can juice more batches before getting clogged up.
I agree. I can batch a lot of juice before the Nama gets clogged (and if it gets clogged). I’ve has plenty of times where the Nama haven’t clogged at all. For me, I find that when it gets fibrous veggies like celery, then it’s more prone to clogging.
Nevertheless, I think you are right. I’ve had a good experience and oftentimes don’t have to think about clogging.
This is awesome. But can you try the ACME?
Is this an Amazon brand?
Thank you
*Great info Yesha, any Idea whats the warranty/exchange policy or customer service experience like for the smaller juicer vs the Nama?*
Thank you! So I learned that the smaller juicer doesn’t have a warranty so that’s a concern whereas the Nama has a 15 year warranty. I’m not sure about an exchange policy. But if you purchase from Amazon, you can test it and receive a full refund if you don’t like it and return it within 30 days of purchase. But if you are planning to Juice often and need something with longevity, I’m not too confident in the Amazon juicer in that case.
@@yeshalester yup and that's where people get shorted. Less expensive for a reason. ThanKS a ton Yesha.
I hope you got a commission or something sis. 😊The Amazon juicer appears to be sold out! Confirmation of a brilliant review, 👏🏾 👏🏾 thank you. ❤

If you buy from Amazon, you also have the option to return it in 30 days if you’re moved in by then and decide to upgrade.
I have the amazon juicer. You can take out the cutter ball for cleaning.
Thank you Diane! Would you say this juicer is good at juicing veggies from your experience?
I judge them by how many time I must pause the juicing to clear out clogging from the machine & their cleanup time spent after the juicing is done.🤷🏽♀️
That’s a great way to judge them lol I realize that after recording the Part 2 video comparing these two while juicing veggies and greens. Now I know that’s something to definitely watch out for. 🙃
To push the stuck chunks, that is what the stick thing is for. Dont use your hand for safety.
Thank you! I’ll keep that in mind moving forward 😅
Nama J12 will give you higher quality juice and they have a lifetime guarantee. I got mine on a payment and a used a youtubers discount code. Ive had a few different juucers through the past 20 years. The Nama payment plan is good. They will send you the Juicer and you pay monthly. The plan i picked was 87 a month. Best juice!!❤❤❤
They do have the best juice! I haven’t heard of the Nama J12 yet but it sounds amazing! And that’s nice to know they have a payment plan. I strongly believe it’s worth the investment. 💚
@@yeshalesterI think it’s a typo because there is only J1, J2 & J3 (which is a smaller version (travel size) of J2. So no J12.
I love this....😊
🎉 yay! Thank you for watching!
I have that Amazon juicer! I wrecked it! 😮 I decided to stick a spoon in it to free some fruit and it got caught!! 😲 It worked great until I did that!! I reordered the masticator and "screen" as they are friends with a spoon!! 😅😅
Oh no!! Did they have any warranties that allowed you to replace it? From my perspective (it was the spoons fault) 😂😂😂 That’s good to know you liked the juicer! And glad you got it resolved by getting another.
Thank you because I have the Ninja Cold Press and its absolute trash. I'm putting that Amazon one in my cart now.
My pleasure! Glad I could help. 💚🙏🏽☺️
The nutribullet mini juicer is trash too.
BTW, that “ball” is called an auger.
Thank you!! 🙏🏽💚
Not sure which model this is but they have a model called the Max that cost $30 more and supposed to have lowerer noise.
Yeah I saw this model. I’m intrigued. I may give this one a try too. It may solve the problems I had with the smaller one.
Nama is a batch juicer.. you should test out how long it takes each to do certain amounts of fruits
That’s a great way to test efficiency! I’ll keep this in mind for future videos! 💚🙏🏽
Nama probably makes both juicers just like Vitamix makes juicers for competitors as well
Hmm that’s definitely a possibility! 🤔
was the pulp for the pineapple the same dryness for both juicers?
Yes, the pineapple pulp was roughly the same dryness for both juicers
when you touch both devices, do you feel the plastic materials feel the same?
The Nama definitely feels like a premium product. The plastic on the Amazon juicer feels much more fragile or like an inexpensive plastic vs the Nama.
INama juice looks look free of pulp. How free of pulp/food bits did the Nama have compared to the other juicer. The Shine when juicing carrots had food particles in the juice portion and I don't use it. I'm being very cautious to invest in the Nama.
The Nama juice was completely free of pulp compared to the other juicer (in this case). However, I have also had very small bits of celery in my juice when juicing with the Nama in the past, but it’s rare outside of that.
I prefer the Nama J2 juicer better
I do as well. It’s a very good juicer with an amazing warranty (15 years).
Just a suggestion: read the instructions first. The whole thing does come apart. It's still very informative.
Thanks for the suggestion! I read the manual after the video and saw I could take it apart. I’ll definitely read the manual next time 😅😂
Thanks for this info cause I was about to not buy it because of this.
Thanks the Amazon piece does come out you have to push the button on the back
Thank you! 💚
The link has three options (pro, max, classic) which one is this in the video?
The one in the video is the Pro. I just learned about the Max and will have a future video comparing that one to see if it’s worth the extra bucks.
Hi have got compared the Kurvings auto10 or any version to the Nama
I would love to do that one day! I’ll try to see if Kurvings could sponsor that video because $700 is a lot of money for a juicer. I can’t make that kind of investment at the moment.
Can you compare Nama to Hurom juicer
Great idea! I’ll see what I can do. 🙏🏽
I think the thing you were calling the ball is the auger
Thank you!! 😅
considering Y reaction to the amazon juicer, you may want to consider, if you have a pet, how your cat or dog will react.
maybe if you have a certain type of parrot it will tell you to "turn the d888 thing off." just a thought.
😂😂😂 VERY good point! Lol
This is hilarious, of course the juicing auger comes out of the Amazon juicer😂😂😂
😂 yeah.. figured it out after recording 😅 oops!
What is the price and brand name of the Amazon juicer?
The Brand name of this juicer is Canoly. The price changes pretty often on Amazon. Right now it’s $149.99
amzn.to/3x5bMTx
What os the wats of each, 350 watt, 600 watt, thst msu be the difference of the price
I’m not sure but that could be the case. Along with the difference in quality of juice.
She’s beautiful!
Thank you! 💚
I just juiced a pineapple last night with that canoly amazon juicer and it was a struggle.
Was your pineapple really ripe? Any other issues? I’m thinking of getting this one or something on this scale.
@@AuthenticallyMoe yes it was very ripe...I should have juiced it the day I bought it. I waited a few days and the color started changing slightly
This is good to know. So maybe the Canoly needs firmer fruits and veggies to work well. Thank you for sharing your experience. I also learned that clean up for this juicer is a bit challenging as well. But I still find it a good option for the cost.
@@yeshalester there was a decent amount of pineapple juice but there was a lot of slush stuck inside the machine (not the pulp that comes out the machine), I had to take it all the way apart multiple times. I ended up putting all the slush into ice trays...I can use it for smoothies
@@vanessam.2553 oh I see! That sounds like a nightmare having to constantly take it apart 😬 However, I love your resourcefulness to turn the headache slush into something for your smoothies.
What about something hard like carrots or beets...
I have a part 2 video showing the juicer juicing carrots and greens: ruclips.net/video/QhqR1xk2fGY/видео.htmlsi=BY0zo2r5F9UoNpm0
Did you read the manuals for both juicers?
Truth is… I skim over the images of the manuals. 😂 I’m an engineer by trade so I enjoy putting things together myself, however, I did have to go back to read the Amazon juicer manual because it wasn’t as intuitive as the Nama J2 juicer was.
Confused as the link to Amazon leads to a juicer that costs $599.99?
Ohh no, that doesn’t seem right. I tried clicking the link and it says the item in unavailable so I’m guessing it sold out. I wonder if it is redirecting you to another juicer. Apologies about this if that’s the case.
Demo the clean up.
Truth is… I rinse off the remaining pulp from each component inside the juicer, (and lightly scrub the strainer) and then throw it in the dishwasher 😂 figured that wouldn’t make a good video.
Nama j2 all the way baby. So easy to juice big batches, small juicing, clean up. Girl i definitely don't waste time to cut up the pineapple for my nama. Just cut it in half and drop it in.
Really?!?! Don’t tell me that 😂😂😂 I didn’t know you can put whole halfs of pineapple in the Nama! You just saved me even more time juicing. Thank you!! 💚
@@yeshalesterplease can you also make a video of this. I’m curious how can we put it just like that, and I wonder how the result turns out
@@crainbow3563 absolutely! I am curious as well. I'll do it after my watermelon cleanse.
How much are they
The Nama J2 is $550 as of today. The Amazon Canoly Pro juicer is $99.99 as of today. However, the Amazon prices fluctuates pretty often.
If you read the instructions you would know it is easy to take out the "cutter" as you call it.
Yeah, it was easy after reading the instructions 😂
Jack LALanne juicer is still the number 1!

I just got one off marketplace! I wish I could see the fruits getting mashed up though 😭😭
Not even close. It makes way too much foam.
the difference is probably in the durability of the motor

It’s still on Amazon, but it looks like the price has increased since I last saw it. Here’s the link: amzn.to/4by3aU8
Nice! But "Amazon Juicer" doesn't have a name?
The brand name of this Amazon juicer is “Canoly-003”
I would hate for you to have to spend your money on more juicer's but, if you really enjoy comparing them for your viewers, maybe try Hurom and or kuvings.
I would like to compare those juicers in the near future 🤞🏽 but at the moment, my goal is to help people find a good inexpensive juicer to start their juicing journey if they can’t afford the expensive ones yet.
@@yeshalester oh okay, gotcha.
Did you mention the time it took to juice? sorry i may have missed it
The time to juice small amounts at a time are roughly the same for both juicers. However, if you need to batch juice a large amount, I’d recommend Nama because the hopper is larger making it easier to juice a larger quantity faster, verse having to continually load the Amazon juicer with a smaller hopper that may cause some slowdown.
In terms of exact time.. (for the one apple at least), it took roughly 15-20 seconds.
