Thank you for the clear instructions. This is what I thought I had to do. I am hoping it works. I know I am at a cable outlet because this is where my old TV was and this TV was a gift and it is new that is why I needed the instructions on the HDMI cable. I am only getting one channel though? I am thinking that has to be good? I recognize the channel from my cable package so that has to be a good sign but I can't change channels. Any ideas why?

What if my cable box doesn’t use cable in and it only uses hmdi and the power port?
I just had a 3 end tv wire. Talked to Comcast did everything they said. New box new controller. Now when they said we had no signal from my box they suggested to have a tech come out for $70. Then I told them no way I would figure it out. So I looked at the tv back and tv box. I found out there was a different slot in both tv and box.
Then I watched your demo and say I was right and I could have been ripped off. Thank you for showing me I was right.

I know alot about technology. All I did was put cable in the back of box then put the cable to wall. Then use HDMI for box to tv. Then select the input the HDMI is on.

The 3 RCA cables (yellow, white, red) are composite AV. They are not HD.

Hi friend thank you for this video but please help me out. The thing is my brother is cheap lol & doesn’t want to call DISH to install an HDMI cable to my father in laws TV. The thing is my father in laws TV is really fuzzy & there’s really no good clear picture on the TV because it’s using an Antenna cable meaning the cable dish has. Can I use your setup to connect the DISH Antenna to connect an HDMI Cable to connect to my father in laws TV so his TV won’t be fuzzy & he can get that clear picture? Please help.

Why when I change the source to hdmi1 does the screen go blue and says dvi1? My cable company had set this up so I could switch source from roku to cable. It worked fine. I've been streaming on roku for months. Well I decided to try to watch TV and I kept getting no signal. I looked behind the TV and saw one end of the hdmi cable from the cable box to the TV. I plugged it in but keep getting this dvi1 source.
DVI does “not” carry audio (sound).
Reading in your comment post that your TV is showing the term “DVI” suggests an older TV and/or cable box not set up fully correctly. We are assuming you are selecting the correct HDMI input on your TV and that the cable box isn’t connected to a different HDMI port (?)
It is a newer TV about 3 years old. I've tried both hdmi1 and hdmi3 ports. Roku is connected to hdmi1. It was working fine now isn't.
Hi may Foxtel Box is older and the cable to box and to TV was stolen by a guest. I have been to JBHi-Fi and tried two DisplayPort HDMI Fusion 4 K Cable but they will not connect to the Foxtel Box. I went to Telstra where I get Foxtel and they said they had no cables. I have taken photos of the box and the TV connection. Can you give me any advice. Wendy

Your cable company may be able to supply you a cable box having an F connector output. The connector you are describing on your tv is an F connector (threaded coaxial cable connector)
Do you happened to know if the hdmi input connection for the LG Oled must be plugged into ONLY the back of the TV (hdmi input) to establish the connection with the cable box or can I use one of the side hdmi ports?
You can use the side port; however, not all HDMI ports are equivalent in their capabilities. If after you connect to the side port and you notice you not getting the performance you were “expecting” then maybe use a labeled port on the rear panel. But, our opinion is.... hooking up to the side you will likely be just fine. Thanks for watching our video and asking.

Pick up your TV remote control, the remote control that came with your TV when you purchased your TV. On that remote find a button “Input” or “Source” and press that button and let go of the button. If no picture appears on your TV repeat the process until a picture appears in your TV

That looks like a standard HDMI port on the cable box. And you've used a HDMI+Ethernet cable, and not a plain HDMI only cable.

My HOA changed cable TV viewing company, well another expensive mistake, because this new com. Company only has their own mfg brand which has only one out HMDI data out port eliminating the optional old standard road style connectors.
The technician told me that I must buy a upto date T V to be le to get any on !
