- The Olympics is allowing men to punch women in the face for our entertainment - but who’s fault is this? We could blame the Olympics, Glenn says. But when society stays silent for so long about these issues, maybe we shouldn’t be too surprised when things like this happen. Glenn reviews the story, which saw a fighter from Algeria with XY chromosomes and a very male physique competing in women’s boxing at the Paris Olympics. The match led to the woman in the match crying on her knees. I can't imagine why every woman, liberal or conservative, isn't screaming about this movement to allow men in women's sports.

I quit tuning in to the Olympics when they started allowing pro athletes to compete. It was always to display the talents of amateurs. That's why back in the day Cuba wouldn't allow their male boxer Teofilo Stevenson to go pro so they could keep racking up medals which is yet another display of sporting corruption..
I don't doubt for a second that there are woman out there who are so liberation minded, that they would be all for this. Equality above everything else, including common sense.

This should be separated from the trans debate. Khelif was assigned female at birth and raised as a female in a country where it is illegal to be trans. I've seen arguments from different biologists whether she/he is biologically male or female so this argument isn't as clear cut as they are making out. Obviously trans women should not be competing against women but Khelif is not trans.

Frankly, my wakeup call was when I was working in shoes. A customer asked me for size 13 ladies shoes. I took that customer to the men's shoes. The customer pointed out to me 'actually, I'm a female.' I realized that if that was how the customer was born, the word woman would have been used . I replied to the customer "regardless of gender, over here is where the shoes that will fit are."
I was expecting to be called into the store manager's office for a complaint about showing disrespect. That never happened, but I realized that they exist even in small town Utah.
