I've been playing blues the better part of 30 years but I've always been jealous of the players who can do the bass line/rhythm finger picking style like this. And that 9 string guitar in the first song is BAD ASS. Rattlesnake rattle for effect is cash money. Nice work. Thanks for sharing your talent.
If the Hall of Fame wasn't such a joke, I'd say you deserve it, but really you are more than that. You definitely are one amazing guitarist. What soul!
How is the blues hall of Fame a joke? It's the rock n roll hall of Fame with all of the genres that blues music created over the years. And yes even hip hop. Iron maiden deserves the hall of Fame as well
If anyone in music gives us more than Justin, I cant think of who it might be. He shares his music, how to play it, and hour after hour of wonderful one man blues of every type and sub-type. The world should be filled with people who give so freely to us who love the music he so wonderfully defines......all by himself. Thank you, Justin, for giving us so much. When I listen to you, I always wonder how you could have had the exposure it takes to catalog and play so much music.
Some people love The Blues, Some people just feel The Blues, Some people play The Blues, And some people are connected directly to the source. We are witnessing History, Some people see that. Thank you Justin 👊
think even deeper... how many absolutely phenomenal guitarist out there are as good, if not better than (enter famous person) but chose to just play mostly for fun at some local bar/venue and would rather be a family man, ALOT and I DIG . knowing that.
Just goes to say, there are a lot of great “unknown” guitar/musicians out there that are not yet heard of. I’m glad I stumbled across Justin Johnson’s RUclips video.
Omg... I love ❤️ the rattle snake tail. I have purchased several of Justin Johnson DVDs. Just stsrted the Muddy Waters & Elmore James tutorials last night on the CBG. I have a 3 string CBG. Love his videos.
In a world where it's all been done, this guy starts over and plays like it's never been done! Words are so useless to describe his Art, he commands you listen!
OMGOODNESS!!!!!! As soon as I heard this, I thought, is it possible that Justin has gotten even better than before playing fingerstyle guitar. That 1st song don't remember hearing before. So, So, IMPRESSIVE!! ! You're the best. Then the next song came on, which I know, and I thought, damn this guy always sounds awesome! What a way to start my day. Thank you Mr. Justin Johnson!!!!👏👏👏👏❤
Wonderful to witness this unique interpretation and presentation from an obvious genius. Justin makes music a living and breathing entity with no limits to what he will offer and share with us his Muse…
Your music resonates with my soul.you are very unique.your style of music is seemingly from an old era, very thought provoking. Your certainly great. Your music takes my spirit back to my childhood at a strange but good and magical time.Thank you.
Needed this after having my hours cut in half at work when I was barely making enough to survive... God bless Justin Johnson, good music, and 5 star comfort!
Wow. I want to say, what a gift to be able to play so well. But l’m sure it’s years and years of dedication, practice and love of the art. Thanks for sharing your music. You have so many cool guitars, I figure you must have a warehouse to keep them all in.
Hi Jason, what a vibe, train groove and rhythm you did put on every piece. Excellent slide playing - of course. What got my special attention was your beauty 9 string ( 6+3) guitar on your first song and that rattler tail under low E as a little snare drum 😳. We don't have rattle snakes in Finland, but need to get one from somewhere. Cool and thanks for yet an other excellent licks and songs to be added my must learn - list and brightening up my day! 🙏

🤯🤯🤯 absolutely beautiful guitar playing brother! I was relaxing in the forest while listening to you jam and I was brought out of the fake world and back into the real world again.
Omg! He brought back the rattlesnake🐍 rattle. Although, I, myself would have used it in a different approach. Instead of actually making it part of my guitar. This playing sounds incredible. I love your playing J² 🎸. Makes me wonder what tuning your using here. I hate to guess. But it sounds like so,e kind of double drop D. Amazing job. Love that creativity. Keep it up brother. You have my support.
I had a diamondback skin with head. Fangs and rattle. Was an awesome guitar strap. It came out from under my dads 300zx. as I was just finishing cleaning the rear drivers tire in NewPort Richy Fla.usa. The head was as big as my fist . round as my arm and 8 foot long. I bounced straight up and back like a kangaroo as it was going for the family jewels. My buddy Mike Grimsly killed it , skinned it and was part of a good dinner of mullet ,shrimp, crab, red fish and oysters from the double branch river north part of tampa bay. Great times and great music. Some other human snake walked off with both strap and guitar.
Wow , I am just so happy you are in my life Justin . Absolutely love your technique and your style and you said it , it`s where magic happens . So true , thank you and cheers from NZ .
That's some very clean, smooth, chill playing, Justin! New fan. Love how you mute the E-string to provide the bass line! Rare combination of technical mastery and soul. Definitely in the Hendrix realms
Hello from Finland... I'm so glad you reloaded this from Sunday. I had to pause it while my daughter called from the USA and when I got back to this it was gone. Now I can watch in its intirety.
hey Justin, I was wondering if you could make a video of your guitar progress over the years, so like if you went to any music schools, who inspired you to play guitar and etc. also, I love listening to you play.
I inherited an early 20th century guitar from my grandmother, she got it from her older brother, a 1920-ish Kalamazoo parlor. He rode the rails, hoping in boxcars during the dust bowl. It’s got rattlesnake rattles inside. I’ve always wondered why.

I'm loving this music 🎵🎶
The coolest s. ..
those sounds are the pure absolute truth to my ears and brain
Even my oldest, whose choice in music I question, listened to this with me!
Man, that was fantastic.
If the Hall of Fame wasn't such a joke, I'd say you deserve it, but really you are more than that. You definitely are one amazing guitarist. What soul!

50 years of playing guitar and I'd have to agree. Justin you are one unreal guitarist.

I am convinced that many guitarists who are among the world's greatest in history would bow to your art. Just amazing what you can do there
Yes you are right they sure would bow to Justin.

@@ricknelson5493 nobody is better than Justin Johnson and it will never happen because it's impossible for someone to be as good as he is
You can not compare, or compete with it. He is his own entity. It's a joke to even thinks there's a probability.
@@robertmw1475 You can think whatever you want. I think and feel what I want. Very simple 🤷
Been playing since 1980, This is rare coupling of amazing ingenuity, and amazing talent
i can conjure up amazing riffs in my head, but JJ can obviously just play whatever he is thinking, or even just feeling? what a talent
❤❤
This guy can make anything into a guitar or guitar accessory, and he rocks it all.

I've never seen a guitar like this one...9 strings? Awesome sound ..... Good rattle!

Nothing more badass than playing a9 string guitar with a rattle snake tail attached as a rattler. True Guitar God!

The rattles would jump around with the vibrations of the guitar body and get that sizzle effect when played hard.
