An injury to one is an injury to all... POWERFUL. Let time tell if you will never experience a form of injustice so severe in your life if you think you are immune to injustice. Remember that injustice can take many forms and is not always direct.

Mme kana a person of his status should know how to handle this matter. Not only that, he knows what recourse is available to him, if he feels injustice has been done to him. Why didn't he take the legal route to have his rights to were protected! Why wait for more than 2 years to make the statement? How come he saw nothing wrong with him being minister of finance and also running a funds management company, which amongst other, managed civil servants pensions? You sure can fool some people some of the times, but you cannot fool all the people all the time. Thank you!!

When such treatments are being subjected to other citizens because they are being suspected of wrong doings Mps like him don't complain, if it's one of them, complains come and it's called embarrassment. Is he not in the right place as a lawmaker to bring a bill which will do away with the embarrassment not only to him but to the rest of the citizens.. I hope the issue of his arrest is not the one stopping him from standing for elections but it's the intention which he had all along, it would have otherwise strengthened him to speak for the voiceless who do not have the privilege of being in parliament.

Never fit for the National Assembly! If CEDA forensic report is disclosed it will reveal. Remember the operations of CEDA in its formative years. They used to fund citizens by giving them cash that the citizens would use outside the approved business plan, staff at CEDA would take commissions from that cash apart from selling business plans (intellectual property of citizens) that they initially rejected. The most incompetent and hate mongering former CEO. Thebe insurance broker was paid premiums by CEDA but they were never remitted to the insurance Co. The digital foot print remains at large. He is neither kind to legislate on holding public service officers accountable for wrong doing nor does he have the moral standing to advocate fiscal discipline. Politics was the wrong direction for this chap.

I always take whatever legislators say with a grain of salt especially those of the ruling party. Something deeper is at play here that he is not telling us. But time is a funny thing. It always reveals the truth in the end.

    • @phillipdinku728
      @phillipdinku728 Месяц назад

Correct. His amassed wealth during his time at CEDA is mere dirt. A CEDA forensic report has been gathering dust for 12 years and with no annual report. Wait and watch as BDP shreds him to pieces with disclosure though some have also been incriminated.

U people must accept that the political system has been wrong..
GNU eliminates the political concept of OPPOSITION..No opposing as the Parliament work together to debate laws and pass instruments to be executed by the Executive..
In a perfect and fully practiced GNU , ALL elected Political Parties enter into a Power -sharing-- arrangements of the Executive proportionate to their elected vote percentage...and this must include all ,not a coalition of few parties
Africa was colonised by Majoritarian Electoral System and since decolonisation , the system continued to date with dominance of one Majority party totally unopposed for decades..
Such parties made laws giving the presidents unwarranted excessive powers to run the countries as a lone party section, unchecked, unaccountable.
Workable and Achievable Political set up of the Majoritarian system demands only the existence of two Political parties per given state or country to be effectively executed..making a balanced parliamentary system of a ratio 51% / 49%.
This has never worked and the system created the loophole with which the Foreign Policies had upper influence in the way economies of African countries have come to be.
Another back stab, political parties, mostly those advocating for alternatives and have been on the so called opposition bench for so long, they make matters worse by not maintaining the status quo of only Two political parties in a particular Country..
Majoritarian Electoral System only works well in Countries with only two political parties...it is in this set up that the educated electorates vote in for a 51%/49% balanced system...
The establishment of so many political parties vying for power should be dealt a lesson the South Africans showed through the power of the GNU SPIRITUALLY INFLUENCED VOTING.even though stolen.
National unity government, government of national unity (GNU), or national union government is a broad coalition government consisting of all parties (or all major parties) in the legislature, usually formed during a time of war or other national emergency (and indeed high unemployment, poverty rates should be declared an Economic crisis)
A unity government according to the principles of consensus democracy lacks opposition( or opposition parties are too small and negligible)
    FORMATION OF THE GNU EXECUTIVE
coalition government, or coalition cabinet, is a government where political parties enter a power-sharing arrangement of the executive. Coalition governments usually occur when no single party has achieved an absolute majority after an election. A party not having majority is common under proportional representation, but not in nations with majoritarian electoral systems.
There are different forms of coalition governments, minority coalitions and surplus majority coalition governments. A surplus majority coalition government controls more than the absolute majority of seats in parliament necessary to have a majority in the government, where as minority coalition governments do not hold the majority of legislative seats.
A coalition government might also be created in a time of national difficulty or crisis (for example, during wartime or economic crisis) to give a government the high degree of perceived political legitimacy or collective identity, it can also play a role in diminishing internal political strife.
In such times, parties have formed all-party coalitions (national unity governments, grand coalitions). If a coalition collapses, the Prime Minister and cabinet may be ousted by a vote of no confidence, call snap elections, form a new majority coalition, or continue as a minority government.
The best GNU Can only be achieved when the power for executive positions is eliminated..
    THE PROBLEM
Here surfaces the issue of Coalition government, or coalition cabinet, is a government where political parties enter a power-sharing arrangement of the executive. This is one of the reasons complete transformation from majoritarian to GNU fails..
Why...because the Political ideology of having a One Party Majority system still lingers.
Only perfect option to perfect GNU...is to immediately do away with the specific laws that were enacted under the majoritarian system..
A balanced parliament is strong enough to advocate for more accountable government.
Parties representation in the Executive should be by their ELECTED Vote percentage in a perfect GNU
The Parliament of GNU has to work together in parliament by presenting motions that are debated and voted for..
All other important positions like of intelligence..police. defence...judiciary..should be decided for by the vetting and voting of Parliament...With the unexcessive powers vested upon the President..
    GNU

where is the right place... at the end of the day, it is the parliament where the BDP bills are passed. Bills that do not serve the interests of Motswana but serve the selfish interests of the elites. In addition to that, it was not BDP resources that were used to persecute him, but government resources. So your argument doesn't hold water. In addition, if he actually was out of order, why did none of them, primarily the BDP MPs and the speaker, call him out?
