I did a 40 day fast on just water. My doctor told me to go home and get my affairs in order.I told my doctor to make a appointment for me for a moth away and I will be back the doctor told me they will never see me again. I went home the next morning during prayer God told me to do a fast for a 40 I felt so good I went to 43 days and went to see my doctor she gave me a big hug and the nurse gave me a hug as well. Well 24 years later I am still a live and kicking. God bless you all. Trust in God not man.

If you've been fasting for some time i commend you do a 3day dry fasting. It works miraculous. All along i fasted partial from 06 to 18hrs. Until one day i decided to do an absolute 3day Esther fasting. I started on christmas eve and break on 26 at 18hrs. I slept that night and dreamt i killed a snake, when i woke up the following day in the evening i saw a snake crawling on my door step and i killed it. Thats how my visions started ever since, im a living testimony. But when you fast dont go with wrong motives, just because my visions started that way does not mean you'll also experience the same, God reward according to your faith in prayers. My testimony is , for 9 years I have been praying to God but he never answered my prayers, I fasted for 7 days , 21 days but nothing, until last week I decided to do a 3 days prayer and fasting, fasting for 3 days and night, no water , food , social media, tv and other pleasures . I believed that I was embarking on a journey and I am coming back with what I praying for. After praying for 3 days dry , on the fourth day , my prayers were answered 😭🙇♀️🙇♀️. God finally turned around and spoke to me , he answered me in less than one day . Brothers and sisters, start off on a journey, 3 days and nights dry , you will testify like me .

Anyone reading this: please pray for my comatose adult daughter. We don't even know what exactly happened. But she had 3-4° burns (electrocuted?) That turned gangrene and her right arm was amputated at shoulder I'm 76 and can't travel to Cancun from Pennsylvania bc of mobility issues. Dear Lord, my child is in your Hands, please heal her. Amen

I’m starting my fast tomorrow I was on a forced fast two years ago when I was fighting a drug addiction I couldn’t eat for 7 days.. one evening I took my daughter to the park and she was playing with another little girl. I looked down and looked up and they were gone. I went crazy for a second the sun was staring to go down , and I noticed a movement. I ran towards them and the little girl wasn’t a little girl but more like a small woman dressed like a little girl and was in dirty clothing. She looked like the ducking devil. Man I’m crying as I write this. I was slacking as a parent at the time I would always leave my daughter with her grandmas while I would go out and party. God really opened my eyes and I’ve done better ever since I don’t let my daughter out of my sight. Went to church today for the first time in a while really want to get my life right man I’m struggling so much In life I lost both of my jobs me and my daughter are living with my mom because the house I was renting roof caved in a year ago. I maybe have 4 dollars to my name and have no idea where my next buck is gonna come from god please help me!

I thought the Lord was dealing with me about fasting 40 days. I kept seeing the number. Was home one day and thinking about it, and talking to the Lord, and saw a book behind my couch. It was open so i put my thumb under it when i picked it up. At the same time i said Lord, if you approve and want me to fast, please let me know. I turned the book over to see WHEN, NOT IF. It was a chapter in a book. I closed my eyes and the book and prayed and said Lord when? With my eyes closed i opened the book and stuck myfinger, at a venture, on the page. I opened my eyes to see where my finger was. It was on another chapter title called THE TIME IS NOW. The hair on my arms stood up. Have had a lot of miracles since that day.

I started fasting when I first became a minister in a Church at the age of 25.. I am now 51 and fasting has worked miracles in my life, as well as my Son. I encourage all to apply fasting in there life. As it is the best way to keep close to God.

I strongly recommend you attempt a first fast if you're here thinking you're being called to it. I recently did a long term fast(40 days). I truly believe people think they can't do things because they have never tried. Obviously do make sure you're in decent shape and start with a 24 hour and then go to 2-3 days after getting comfortable at 24s. Once you make it to 3 days start to challenge your self and ask God to carry you through. I find at day 3 into 4 I hit full blown ketosis and once your body is not trying to do both I feel amazing, incredible mental clarity, high energy and an unexplainable communication with God. But those first 3 days can be brutal. Of course don't go running head first into a double digit fast. Keep healthy and remember to pray. ❤
Because of this message I am convinced today to practice fasting and get closer to my God as I have been trying for a long time but all in vain. I have been reminded of the fact that I must deny my self. Pray for me as I start for my first time at 67 years old.

One pitfall to avoid regarding fasting is self-righteousness. Last year I fasted regularly with prayer and scripture. It was one of the most amazing things I've ever done. I won't go into full detail because I do believe these things to be personal, but I can testify that Jesus is real. If you fast and focus on scripture n prayer while asking God questions? Both times I’ve fasted I got sick … not sure what I’m doing wrong. The first time I got severely dehydrated and had to break my fast on the second day so 48 hrs in. The 2nd fast I caught a really bad throat infection and had to stop my fast after 24hrs. Although I did notice for my first fast that my vision cleared up. I wear glasses but that morning I forgot to put them on and noticed my vision was so clear. I usually need them for everything because from a distance things look very blurry but that morning on day 2 I could see the trees outside my window which are a few hundred feet away! It was amazing being able to see again without my glasses. This video has taught me a few things though.. I’ll be trying again taking these tips in mind from the video.
I would like to ask your prayers I have a bad habit of dating wrong people I even now busy with a married man, I know it's wrong but when I'm ready to tell him I just keep quite and fight this inside of me. I made the mistake of telling my pastor that I fast and he makes a mockery of me every Sunday saying that Jesus did not tell us to fast but told the desciples only to fast...He gets on my nerves besides reading the word to say the least..I pray for him though that he may take heed to all the word and letters of the bible that we have been left with as a guide and reverence tool in Jesus name❤

The key to prayer in fasting is to first turn to God (not the fasting) let the father speak to you by telling you what food to get, and when, give thanks, then eat. We continue to pray (without ceasing) in the son’s holy name ✝️
@@Appakazibwe when I turned to Christ I wasn’t even planning on fasting but found myself doing it. In the beginning I was forcing myself to eat, I had no appetite. I’ll be honest it took many days for me to come to the realization that God was having me in a fast. I was deep in prayer when I went to the grocery store and let the Holy Spirit guide me on what foods to buy and when to eat. I went weeks on minimal caloric intake but never lost strength. I remember one week only eating meat twice and it was beef and lamb. It was never my intention to quit pork but the appetite was taken away from me literally overnight. God is good 🫶🏼 and I continue to pray (without ceasing) in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord 🙏🏼✝️

I regularly fast, primarily to heal health issues. I remember during my first extended fast that I conversed with God for strength much more than I would normally do. Fasting concentrates the mind and spirit. Well, at least for me it does. I now recognise that the healing properties of fasting are a miraculous gift from God.

After about 5 days, the connection with God was absolutely undescribable. I yearn for it. I finally broke fast at 8 days. Them 3 days are the closest ive ever been to God.
Very good explanation of why we should fast. The part of the verse that says "and your heavenly Father will reward you" is a great incentive. We often look at spiritual exercises as a burden, but if we look deeper we always find there is a reward for such discipleship.

Through deprivation and suffering we learn to be grateful. God wants us to learn gratitude and make it a part of ourselves. Only after we suffer, we can begin to understand a suffering of another, and after we start understanding another, we can start understanding what it means to love without expecting same in return, because we are then grateful we are here to lend a hand.

In 2017 i did fast 40 days separately spread on 52 weeks Its was amazing my relationship with God was closer and stronger and my prayers was answered and ways i never though about

If you've been fasting for some time i commend you do a 3day dry fasting. It works miraculous.
All along i fasted partial from 06 to 18hrs. Until one day i decided to do an absolute 3day Esther fasting. I started on christmas eve and break on 26 at 18hrs. I slept that night and dreamt i killed a snake, when i woke up the following day in the evening i saw a snake crawling on my door step and i killed it. Thats how my visions started ever since, im a living testimony.
But when you fast dont go with wrong motives, just because my visions started that way does not mean you'll also experience the same, God reward according to your faith in prayers. And also when you fast, dont pick up quarrels, give more to the needy- accommodate as many people as you can, it pleases the lord. Read more about fasting in Isaiah 58:3-12

My testimony is , for 9 years I have been praying to God but he never answered my prayers, I fasted for 7 days , 21 days but nothing, until last week I decided to do a 3 days prayer and fasting, fasting for 3 days and night, no water , food , social media, tv and other pleasures . I believed that I was embarking on a journey and I am coming back with what I praying for. After praying for 3 days dry , on the fourth day , my prayers were answered 😭🙇♀️🙇♀️. Fasting, repenting, forgiveness, prayer, meditation. They all go together well. I did a 2 week fast and it was the most difficult thing I ever done. Hallucinations, vomiting, visions, I experienced the feelings of every demon in me. It took time but I’ve receive freedom through GOD’s authority. I regularly fast 2 days a month.

I’m starting my fast tomorrow I was on a forced fast two years ago when I was fighting a drug addiction I couldn’t eat for 7 days.. one evening I took my daughter to the park and she was playing with another little girl. I looked down and looked up and they were gone. I went crazy for a second the sun was staring to go down , and I noticed a movement. I ran towards them and the little girl wasn’t a little girl but more like a small woman dressed like a little girl and was in dirty clothing. She looked like the ducking devil. Man I’m crying as I write this. I was slacking as a parent at the time I would always leave my daughter with her grandmas while I would go out and party. God really opened my eyes and I’ve done better ever since I don’t let my daughter out of my sight. Went to church today for the first time in a while really want to get my life right man I’m struggling so much In life I lost both of my jobs me and my daughter are living with my mom because the house I was renting roof caved in a year ago. I maybe have 4 dollars to my name and have no idea where my next buck is gonna come from god please help me!

I thought the Lord was dealing with me about fasting 40 days. I kept seeing the number. Was home one day and thinking about it, and talking to the Lord, and saw a book behind my couch. It was open so i put my thumb under it when i picked it up. At the same time i said Lord, if you approve and want me to fast, please let me know. I turned the book over to see WHEN, NOT IF. It was a chapter in a book. I closed my eyes and the book and prayed and said Lord when? With my eyes closed i opened the book and stuck myfinger, at a venture, on the page. I opened my eyes to see where my finger was. It was on another chapter title called THE TIME IS NOW. The hair on my arms stood up. Have had a lot of miracles since that day.

I started fasting when I first became a minister in a Church at the age of 25.. I am now 51 and fasting has worked miracles in my life, as well as my Son. I encourage all to apply fasting in there life. As it is the best way to keep close to God.

I strongly recommend you attempt a first fast if you're here thinking you're being called to it. I recently did a long term fast(40 days). I truly believe people think they can't do things because they have never tried. Obviously do make sure you're in decent shape and start with a 24 hour and then go to 2-3 days after getting comfortable at 24s. Once you make it to 3 days start to challenge your self and ask God to carry you through. I find at day 3 into 4 I hit full blown ketosis and once your body is not trying to do both I feel amazing, incredible mental clarity, high energy and an unexplainable communication with God. But those first 3 days can be brutal. Of course don't go running head first into a double digit fast. Keep healthy and remember to pray. ❤

Last year I fasted regularly with prayer and scripture. It was one of the most amazing things I've ever done. I won't go into full detail because I do believe these things to be personal, but I can testify that Jesus is real. If you fast and focus on scripture n prayer while asking God questions? Both times I’ve fasted I got sick … not sure what I’m doing wrong. The first time I got severely dehydrated and had to break my fast on the second day so 48 hrs in. The 2nd fast I caught a really bad throat infection and had to stop my fast after 24hrs. Although I did notice for my first fast that my vision cleared up. I wear glasses but that morning I forgot to put them on and noticed my vision was so clear. I usually need them for everything because from a distance things look very blurry but that morning on day 2 I could see the trees outside my window which are a few hundred feet away! It was amazing being able to see again without my glasses. This video has taught me a few things though.. I’ll be trying again taking these tips in mind from the video.
I got distracted with life’s issues and I stopped fasting. I’m thankful for this video and the comments tomorrow I’ll start it fast.

I made the mistake of telling my pastor that I fast and he makes a mockery of me every Sunday saying that Jesus did not tell us to fast but told the desciples only to fast...He gets on my nerves besides reading the word to say the least..I pray for him though that he may take heed to all the word and letters of the bible that we have been left with as a guide and reverence tool in Jesus name❤

The key to prayer in fasting is to first turn to God (not the fasting) let the father speak to you by telling you what food to get, and when, give thanks, then eat. We continue to pray (without ceasing) in the son’s holy name ✝️

@@Appakazibwe when I turned to Christ I wasn’t even planning on fasting but found myself doing it. In the beginning I was forcing myself to eat, I had no appetite. I’ll be honest it took many days for me to come to the realization that God was having me in a fast. I was deep in prayer when I went to the grocery store and let the Holy Spirit guide me on what foods to buy and when to eat. I went weeks on minimal caloric intake but never lost strength. I remember one week only eating meat twice and it was beef and lamb. It was never my intention to quit pork but the appetite was taken away from me literally overnight. God is good 🫶🏼 and I continue to pray (without ceasing) in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord

I regularly fast, primarily to heal health issues. I remember during my first extended fast that I conversed with God for strength much more than I would normally do. Fasting concentrates the mind and spirit. Well, at least for me it does.

Fasting is a spiritual muscle…took me years to get to a full seven day water fast…now I’m headed towards a ten day water fast…it’s not easy but spiritually, mentally and physically yes 🙌 you will feel amazing after and I’ve noticed that things I asked God for previous tend to happen while I’m fasting…

If you are a new beginner, start with a couple or a few hours a day.

Yes I can attest to the idea of fasting it is a source from which we can draw spiritual strength from the Devine mind of God fasting can accomplish anything we so desire we can build up our spiritual strenght

Very good explanation of why we should fast. The part of the verse that says "and your heavenly Father will reward you" is a great incentive. We often look at spiritual exercises as a burden, but if we look deeper we always find there is a reward for such discipleship.

In my view, fasting is a powerful act of self-discipline, not just a spiritual ritual. It’s about mastering our desires and proving to ourselves that we can rise above immediate impulses. However, fasting should never be about seeking approval or recognition its true value lies in building inner strength and humility. For me, fasting is a tool to cultivate resilience and clarity, reminding us that real growth starts from within.
I couldn't fast to save a congregation! Have been meaning to for some time then I come across this.Ill take it as a sign,and God willing one can begin and end a fast.

Through deprivation and suffering we learn to be grateful. God wants us to learn gratitude and make it a part of ourselves. Only after we suffer, we can begin to understand a suffering of another, and after we start understanding another, we can start understanding what it means to love without expecting same in return, because we are then grateful we are here to lend a hand.

In 2017 i did fast 40 days separately spread on 52 weeks Its was amazing my relationship with God was closer and stronger and my prayers was answered and ways i never though about
