Wild arena decks are like wine that's kept in barrels - longer you keep it, better it becomes.

I don't get what Blizzard are thinking.
Just retire everyone's decks whenever a new expansion comes out and refund players the cost of arena entry. They still get some rewards from the retire depending on how many wins they had before the expansion comes out, but the run costs them nothing and HearthStone has no more wild arena decks ever.
How is this not something they fixed months ago?
There is nothing to fix, this is why you haven't seen any actions in this direction.

how do people even get wild arena decks?
Easy:
Step one: Draft a deck
Step two, dont touch arena until newer expansions kick in and make it impossible to get some of the cards you draftet.
And look! you now have a wild arena deck.
I lost to a wild Warlock a couple weeks ago with was what I though was a decent mage deck, some context it was 2-0 and they had GVG cards, now this might just be a coincidence, but Kripparrian, happened to be streaming that day. I would say to combat Wild decks in arena would be to auto retire any deck that has wild cards in it once a new rotation comes out but I don't know how hard it would be to do that. Either that or have them only play against other wild decks users.

Can someone explain how a standard arena deck plays against a wild one?
All arena decks are in the same pool, and matched according to wins/losses.
Some players have saved old drafts with some powerful cards, and are playing them now against more recent drafts, with different cards available.
What's a wild deck?

There's actually a quite easy counter to something like this happening, which should also be quite easy to implement - make it so your older decks (not necessarily just Wild decks, just once your deck is a couple of weeks old) have to wait a few seconds more in queu. Not insanely long, just maybe 5-10 seconds longer, preferably randomly. This way, you can't keep an insane deck to snipe a streamer, because once your deck hits that threshold, it becomes almost impossible to time the queu perfectly to snipe an opponent.

I don't get why Blizzard doesn't just force finish every Arena run currently going on, giving the player all the rewards he should have gotten at his wins + refund of the 150g for a new run (or just make the next one free like when you start a new account). Yeah, you will have big babies crying about their "best ever decks with 7 legendaries", but thats their own fault for not finishing the run earlier.
