Gay and bisexual people can no more help being gay or bisexual than straight people can help being straight, and as a Christian, hating or demeaning others because of their sexual orientation IS NOT MY JOB. (Nor is it my job as a Christian to berate people whose skin color, national origin, or mother tongue is different from mine.) That IS NOT how God works. Finally, even though I will always believe in God, I will still say this: Religion without love is useless. It doesn't matter how faithfully you attend Church, go to Synagogue, spend time at the mosque. If you don't have love in your heart for your fellow human beings, none of those other things matter.

When people are treated poorly for too long it becomes normal. So everyone accepts their poor treatment as normal. When these people who it's normal to treat poorly suddenly won't accept poor treatment, they are disrupting everyone's normal, so they are seen as the problem.

to the ppl saying that nobody cares if you are gay, that just isn't true. Straight ppl can go about thier day to day lives and live comfortably being a straight person. That child was more of an adult then the parents. That’s actually depressing
My favorite quote is… be careful who you hate, it might be someone you love.
I’m 33 years old and I remember hearing conservative parents complain about schools indoctrinating student as far back as when I was in middle school in 2002 and it’s not true. High Schools and Colleges teach students to think critically and Conservative parents don’t like it because they don’t want their children questioning them. It’s not about education it’s about control.
This right here. Control.
They want their kids to stay ignorant to everything around them.
*THIS*
#FACTS
So your telling me that way back when your teachers talked about their personal love life?
Your saying that teachers would tell students that's if they wanted to tell them a secret they can and they would never tell their parents?
And aren't the parents suppose to be able to control their kids?
If the kids don't know about obidience and discipline they will learn about it through the legal system once they turn 18.
@Jason Haines lol 1st it's spelled obedience. We have auto correct for crying out loud. Second............WHAT?????!!!!!!
I want to know if any action was taken against that parent?
I hope so, homophobes do not deserve to be in a courtroom, they should be the one in the center due to being bigoted. That person offends me so much.
I don't think so...😢
Funny how conservative homophobes still thinking this is the 1930s and being gay is illegal.
Headline should be: Homophobic Parent Proves Bullied Student's Speech
I wish I could yell back at her and say, "STFU." Can't blame parents for being annoyed.
I'm bisexual I speak out for all of the LGBTQ+ people out there, that we can't change, we were born the way we are. The hate and homophobia has to end, as I said before. That's all there is to say.
Exactly
Preach 💖💜💙
Fr, I have to explain that I'm trans and what it is all the time and people still think I just chose to be trans
how is everyone (including me) discovering this just now? this was released two years ago... weird coincidence
Very werid indeed its so bizzare that we live in a day in age that things like this arent seen because were stuck seeing the polarized news till years or months later
i just got this now,, it is weird,,
True.. so upsetting how the algorithm works.
Well we know who’s kid is doing some of the bullying
@Porkchop_xpress1 100% Go to ALLLLLLL of your schools meetings; see how the parents act.
You NEED TO KNOW who is bringing little s-hitlers to school, and you need to forewarn your children to stay away from them, and to tell a teacher when they are hurting other students.
Bro the girl is being more reasonable than the crazy ahh woman
"Protect the children" but also "lets also add full blown adults antagonize and harass a high school teen (under 18) for expressing herself"
thats so messed up
Thank you for this perfect explanation of the bull that this is 👏👏👏
Lol, grown woman bullies a student to prove the student isn't being bullied
The only agenda they are pushing is equality, acceptance, and love.
That is true.
A child who is braver, more articulate and more empathetic than the ex president that made abuse and harassment mainstream and acceptable. America has become the shame of the world.
Had become? It's been that for at least a couple decades, likely far longer.
@@nikm5628 yeah but shit has just gotten hog wild in the last couple years 😐
@@emilysigmund1255 That's very true 👍
Not America, Republicans. They left American morals behind when we elected a half black man.
@@trentgay3437 I had to read that a couple times, for a moment it looked like you were being racist. And yes, they did seem to really start cracking when a black man became president, the mask slipped that day.
I have the perfect answer to a person that gets upset about being called a bigot (whether it's racist, homophobic, misogynist/misandrist, etc), "if you don't want to be seen as a bigot, then stop BEING a bigot, problem solved."
OMG HELP I READ THAT WRONG. I THOUGHT U WERE SAYING TO STOP BEING LGBTQ OR... ANOTHER RACE??? I WAS LIKE WHAT.
Bigots always try to make themselves feel better about hurting the people around them. Just the ideology of homophobia or racism causes the deaths of thousands and they want to be associated with that? Hate turns to expressions of hate and hate turns into genocide.
that parent just proved the kids point..
A student tells her story and a homophobic parent proves the teen is correct and telling the truth.
Imagine being a grown ass adult and feeling personally attacked because of another person's sexual orientation. lmao
From a child no less.
Thats sadly the reality we live in
Ikr it's really sad and pathetic
Homophobic people think they can tell us who we can like
nah those parents are gigachads
By interrupting the teen's speech, the homophobic mom is actually bullying the poor girl.
It wasn't only the interrupting, it was the manner in which it was done.
If that had been my daughter, they wouldn’t have needed to have that woman thrown it. The bullying parent would have left in an ambulance.
I suspect my kid would have just ignored her….waited for her to be escorted out, and then dropped a savage quip….
The woman who tried to interrupt her is the case and the point, and is probably the parent of a teen who is contributing to the reason many of the teens of the school experience discrimination and harassment. -💙
She is actually being a bully to a child who is speaking about being bullied, and she is so into her own agenda she doesn't even comprehend the irony.
From the age of 8 I have worked as a professional actor on stage, to include on Broadway, and guess what?
I'm straight.
Surrounded by gay people - and I am still straight.
If being around gay people is supposed to make you become gay, what happened to me?
I am still straight and I am now 72 years old.
Yep, raised by gays, still straight, not a choice.
Straight people have gay children
Kudos to the lady on the panel who wasted no time with that hammer
right? She was ready to shut ppl up
Imagine she said, "Listen her you little bitch, i have the hammer, you don't. So why dont you sit down before i slam something els with this hammer other than this table"
This is crazy! Someones right to be safe doesnt take away from your rights.
Men those girls were some cry babyies
Like grow up no one cares.😂
