The way this song kind of unravels harmonically is one of the most interesting things i've heard it a while. If you pay attention to the bass, you can hear how the chord outlining becomes gradually more abstract. Combining that dissonance with the gradually increasing syncopation and rhythmic tension, it really effectively makes the song kind of turn into this big, exciting, chaotic mess. Super cool effect. Also the 3-2 clave is an cool choice.

I love this freaking song! Heard it on the show "Nurse Jackie" and downloaded it immediately
When I first heard this song a couple days ago, it literally made me stop what I was doing to listen. I'm not exaggerating. I was drawing, and I couldn't focus on anything but this song. There's something hypnotic about it that perfectly captivates my brain, turning me into an open-mouthed idiot who looks like they're a second away from passing out. I don't know if there's something wrong with me, or something right with this song, but I think I'll go with both. Genuinely my favorite song in my life, now that I know of it. It reminds me a bit of Yponeko.
I first heard this song a few years ago and was immediately obsessed. I listened to it several times a day for a month. I just found it again and listened to it ten times.
Totally out of control. Love this.
For me personality, I instantly fell in love with this song. Mainly cause of the rhythmic beat that's has a element of a non-Westernized feel. So yes, to me it sounds every foreign from Modern American music. Even the backgrounds of aged technology such as electronic static and static frizz gives the track a sense of a Lo-Fi music genre. Even the music video correlates to the techniques in the track to have this old school touch.
It's a innovate song that's catchy and some rhythmic patterns that DO need to have an acquired taste.
This artist reminds me a lot of other musical groups that are fond of the 'unusual' beats and hard to identify genres such as Little Dragon.
