One of the biggest theories, at least for the books because the last book ended with Jon Snow being stabbed, was that Jon was able to transfer his soul into Ghost as he was dying. All of the Stark children have warg abilities in the books, to an extent, but it was cut from the show. So Ghost looking over at Jon before Jon wakes up is a nod to those theories.
The last word Jon uttered was Ghost, not Olly and indeed, Jon, Rob, Arya and Rickon warged into their wolves many times, not just Bran. Only Sansa did not have this ability because Lady was killed as a puppy.

It is true that House Manderly commands huge respect and following in The North which is why the show made yet another more choice in leaving out entirely the politics of The North. Lord Manderly plays a very significant role but he just gets a one line mention here.

David and Dan by season 6 had got very arrogant by the success of the show and decided to then rewrite Euron as a cringe "Rockstar" character, removing his Lovecraftian motivations (when the dragon weds kraken let all the world beware). by the book fandom especially (perhaps not kalakauagodhimself) show euron is an embarrassing afterthought whose has no motivation beyond fucking the queen. this is often put in a nutshell with Euron's pathetic S7 quote about fingers in bums. Biggest downside of this episode is not revealing why Arya was blinded. The Faceless Men wanted someone who would be nearly as powerful as Bran as one of there assassins and just like how Brans powers magnify when he lost his legs Aryas powers activated when she lost her eye sight. She isnt as powerful as Bran but she can look thru the eyes of cats while still comtrolling her body which no other Warg we know of can do

Is he? And at one point when Tywin was telling Tyrian that he wanted to throw him in the sea because he could not prove he wasn’t his so there’s a little glimpse into that like theory that’s out there. I don’t know the truth. I’m just conveying what I read.
