Greetings from Puerto Rico, thank you so much for sharing this video with us. My brother sent me the link of the video, I have learned one more thing I didn't knew about. Thanks!!!

I tried installing an Ideal Universal RG-6 compression connector (part #92-651 onto Tappan RG-6Q using the techniques from several videos and I could not get the results you got. Cutting back to expose 1/4 inch of the dielectric isn't enough. I couldn't get the connector onto regular RG-6 either. The dielectric just won't go flush no matter how much force I use. These compression connectors are expensive and I end up wasting them.
Keep in mind quad shield has 4 layers of shielding; braid, foil, braid, foil. The top 2 layers of foil and braid must be removed. Even after that, quad shield can be tough to fit into a connector.

Awesome! Thanks for watching! Glad he shared it with you!
I have a similar one that's the smaller version of this but it works a treat :) very handy for multiple types of connectors
Great video as always, such a legend.
Thank you.
Thank you for the advice and video 😊
Thank you for watching!
Would this work for crimping FME connectors to coax? Or is it strictly F, BNC, and RCA? Trying to fix something for my CB radio.
Are those for RG-58 cable?
Have a look at this one. It specifies mini-coax and RG58, in addition to RG59 and RG6. Hopefully this helps. (affiliate link) amzn.to/3ZWjDNh
@@NorthcoasterHobby Thanks!
@ You’re welcome.
Good video BUT at 5:43 your right hand crosses over to assist with the crimp and blocks the view of what is going on with the cable and the connector.

Those look like good quality connectors. What brand are they? Also, can you recommend a good stripper? Thanks.

@@NorthcoasterHobby I placed an order for a package of 10 since I can't get any locally.
