Ok Robbie use to be in a band called ‘take that’ that started in early 90’s and they were massive sell out shows sell out albums, rob left in 1995 unfortunately he has suffered drug and alcohol abuse in his time with take that and after. There was a big head to head with him and Gary the lead singer of take that to who was gonna make it big and money was on Gary at first!,but BANG rob come out with this smasher 🙌🏻 and blew Gary out of the park. In 2006 take that reunited (without rob) and sold out gigs had massive albums then in 2010/2011 rob rejoined the band (this was a massive thing) they released an album and done a tour with rob (I was there it was amazing). Gary and rob as they’ve have got older and more mature (and rob has been clean for many many years now) they have worked their differences out and they released a single together called ‘shame’ (about their relationship) and take that are like brothers now including rob. Take that are a 3 piece now (they use to be 5 but another member called Jason left around ten years ago as he didn’t wanna be in the spotlight anymore! (We all miss jay😢) I went to see take that last year for the 11th time and they still put on an amazing show in their 50’s ,rob is 50 now I am going to see him next year for the 4th time (not including the times when he was in take that ) and he’s just released a biopic directed by the same guy who directed ‘the greatest showman’ it’s called ‘better man’ and it looks amazing.
damn, I actually have prepared a list for Robbie for whenever the next submissions will be, so I just came to see the comments and while every other list people have posted is a bit different to mine, yours is actually spot on with mine...if "Feel" in your list is meant to be #1, then our lists are even in the same order). Mine will be a mix of live performances (LMEY, Feel, maybe Come Undone) and music videos (Millenium, Kids and maybe Come undone). I haven't decided for Come Undone yet...
@@NouraFox yeah, it is hard to choose between MV's and live's as they are all good, which is why for my list I decided to mix both, so that if they ever get to react to my list, they can experience both sides... for Come Undone I'm also leaning towards the MV, although some people might not like it as it could be considered pretty disgusting... but then again that's why it's so unique and raw...
I have been preparing a list for Robbie week and mine is a bit different. Mine starts with "Let me entertain you" (live from Knebworth) as the perfect opener, followed by "Millenium" (MV), "Kids" (MV), "Come Undone" (haven't decided between MV and Live) and "Feel" (live from Knebworth) as the perfect ending, because it's the last song from that concert and he even says "Thank you. Good night" at the end. You know, small details, but I like it 😁
I love Robbie and he’s fantastic live. Such an entertainer! He’s the Harry Styles of take that. He was always the best for me and he did clash with Gary. Take That would be good to react to !
Just a question I've been wondering about for quite a while now, for someone who can't be on the live streams when voting happens. Is Patreon or money or nagging or whatever that makes you choose what things to do. Been thinking about suggesting something for quite a while now, about 9 months, but would like to know how it actually works and how it comes down to a list from you guys. :3
I wish u had joined the Patreon during those months before October ended. Their system was u get 2 requests per month u pay $4 for Patreon and then pay $20 per video. Now there is no paid requests. Your best bet is when they drop the weekly "Request Suggestions" video u write your lists every time they have that video and hope that people like your list. The top 4 most liked lists get to be voted on in the live stream and the most votes wins.
You should check out a live version of this from Knebworth. It's amazing. You could do a top 5 of Robbie from that concert alone. Huge star in Europe and the rest of the world. Somehow never broke through in America.
I've never been a Robbie fan. Always grated on me, but even I can't deny that 'Angels' is an amazing song, and Robbie did a great job with it. They put so much emphasis on cracking America with this song, and when it failed, Robbies team put their focus back in to Europe. Meanwhile the song ended up going to Jessica Simpson, who released it as a single in the US.
The US radio stations were very anti Europe from 98-2009 which is the reason why he and Kylie struggled to make much success despite their careers reaching their highs in the 2000s. Kylie sneaked 1 hit despite this but everything else was blacklisted and not played.
My suggestions for RW week are: Come undone No regrets Road to Mandalay and Eternity videos (in this order, they're connected) Advertising space She's Madonna
USA is always missing out. Never understand that. Robbie is an ex member of a hugeeeeeee I mean huge British boyband in the UK, Europe and Asia (again never in the US) called "Take That". Take That has a huge back catalogue. For a song from the band that also features "Robbie", please react to one of these 3: 1. Everything Changes 2. Pray 3. The Flood
Feel, Let Me Entertain You, Come Undone, Me And My Monkey - all from Knebworth! Pls react! 😍 If you want a music video try Come Undone the unfiltered version (if you can find it 🤭) Keep reacting to Robbie! 😍👏🏼
As someone who lived in Europe through the 90s, I am more than familiar with all these songs, they were really overplayed. It was a great list, I just dislike Cotton Eye Joe. Disliked it in the 90s, dislike it now. So much that I did not see your reaction because I don't want to listen to that song ever again. All the others are awesome 90s gems.
"Angels" has been my #1 song since I first heard it in early 2000's (when I was still about 10 y/o)... I barely knew any english words, but this song spoke to me like no other... "Feel" is another song that is very high in my all time top... this is why Robbie is my all time favorite male singer...
@TheLoneIyGirl-c5t Hm, you're right - There are not enough videos of Robbie's duets. D*mn! Maybe "weave" those two in into: SOLO ARTIST's DUET WEEK: The other 3 could be: 1. Bowie/Lennox/Queen "Under Pressure" from Freddie Mercury's Tribute Concert A Great Performance! (There is an total OK upload by "Greg Deocampo") 2. Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey - "When You Believe" (Official HD Video) 3. KENNY ROGERS & DOLLY PARTON - "ISLANDS IN THE STREAM" - HQ Audio - - - Thanks from Sweden for pointing this out! And I've checked, Mike and Joe haven't done those songs/videos yet.
@@sirjohnmara I mean, the two songs you mentioned in your initial post are definitely THE 2 duet songs to choose, but you could easily find 3 more to make the week full. You can add live performances. There are some very enjoyable ones from his swing albums, like "It Was A Very Good Year" with Frank Sinatra at the Royal Albert Hall, or "I Wan'na Be Like You" with Olly Murs at Graham Norton. Robbie's collaborations with the Pet Shop Boys are pretty amazing and have some great videos, though Neil Tennant is more of a vocal additon in those. Just some ideas - there is more out there. 🙂
Because they both don't have US hits. US radio was semi-boycotting UK from 98-2001 but from 2001-2009 it was like an obvious boycott. But mainly US radio is all politics and who pays them money and who does tours in the US and give out free tickets, etc Radio was mainly against bubblegum pop unless it was Britney/Xtina/NSync/Backstreet Boys in 98-2001.
You should check out Angels live at Knebworth.. BTW he's English from stoke and was part of the 90s boy band Take That... They are definitely worth a listen to.. Love and light from across the pond guy's xxx 🙏😘🇬🇧
And you should be happy they even did a Robbie reaction and stop acting entitled. Now it's time for multiple Britney weeks we've been waiting too long!
Random info- This was voted by the Brits as the song they wanted most played at their funeral. Got to say, the song has hit me a couple times. In 2016, someone i know died at Age 25, and just last year someone in my year (Aged 30) died and in both instances, this song was played at the funerals.
I Will Talk And Hollywood Will Listen, Let Me Entertain You, The Road To Mandalay, Lovelight, Me And My Monkey, The Heavy Entertainment Show - you can hear all of them and Robbie will deliver you joy, emotions and masterpiece. He is a great artist.
