    Now I always wanted to go to a Janet Concert especially during the 90s.

    Like your break down of the doc so far...At the 10:42 mark you said that Rhythm Nation was her sophomore album...It really was her 4th album...Before Control, she recorded her first self titled album which came out in 1982 or 83, and then recorded the album, 'Dream Street', which came out in 1984...Both albums flopped and A&M Records were going to drop her until she hooked up with Jam & Lewis...Both of them saved her career...Thank God!

      That’s how much I absolutely forget about that first album I don’t even acknowledge it 😂🤦🏾‍♀️

      Yup. She help catapult their careers as well. They were on their way to becoming super producers, but they hit pay dirt when the produced the "Control" album for her.

    Your review made me want to find and watch the part where she talks about james. It sounds so sad, it must be hard to love someone who is so deep into addiction that it ruins the relationship. I wish he would have been able to overcome it.

    All her men looked like James....except for Jermaine D

      And ironically it was Jermaine that treated her the best. I hate that he cheated, THAT was who she would have still been with.

    I didn't even know that she had a album before control. 😂😂😂. Everybody else would have gave up, but she got different producers and changed everything.

    As to her first albums, I liked them because I was always a fan of American and British pop music from the 80's. I loved her songs Dream Street, Come Give Your Love to Me and others, and would still be a fan had she not put out anything else. But YES, Minneapolis sent her music career into the stratosphere.

    Part 2 of her document was well put the baby rumors and Michael she went through a lot and the Superbowl. I think the NFL SHOULD APOLOGIZE and welcome her to perform again they really did her wrong

    Do you have to bring up Michael? 😆

  • @anonimothy5979
    @anonimothy5979 2 года назад +1

    Yes, Michael was by far the biggest act but, personally, I'd always preferred Janet. Bought way more cassettes and CD's of hers and I often video recorded her videos, interviews and TV specials on the VCR. Also, between the two of them, she's the one who I wanted to meet in person.

    The Hotties, Bradi Gang, and Barbz, fanbase can't top MJ's fanbase or even Janet's fanbase back in the day.

    Hey struggle why she didn’t blame Justin Timberlake for ending her career at that super bowl joint years ago
    And now she made Michael even worse than ever and she shouldn’t have kept those things to she self about him and now people is talking about it and really father joe was the real problem in her life and Mike not even around anymore to defend him self

    • @StruggleReviewzTV
      @StruggleReviewzTV  2 года назад +1

      I can’t wait to talk about part 4 & 5! The documentary is it at all what I thought it would be🤦🏾‍♀️

    • @robyngreen537
      @robyngreen537 2 года назад

      And struggle too me control is Janet best album 💿 that she ever did because that is her own version of thriller and off the wall

    • @robyngreen537
      @robyngreen537 2 года назад +1

      And I don’t care about anyone have to say because Janet always try to compete with Michael but she couldn’t all the way because she didn’t have no famous dance moves and no famous clothes and no selling albums like he did before

    • @robyngreen537
      @robyngreen537 2 года назад +1

      And Michael used to have a lot of fans passing out in his BAD show and Dangerous show and Janet couldn’t do that

      Miss Jackson career did not End after the superbowl. Bottom line she it was her own truth she told as much or as little as she wanted. It is not up to us to tear apart. Just take it for what it is and move on. Enjoyed what she did share. Honestly love me some Jackson Five, and Janet Jackson but can't cry me a river for folks worth millions. My Mom and Dad did not play either. I thank them daily for making sure we knew what was expected of us so we did not fall prey to our hood. My Dad would say "don't let me have to take off my belt. My Mom would take off her shoe and say come here and you did not run. I have 2 Master Degrees, and a solid career. I have a solid family life and so do my siblings. Thanks Mom & Dad we never thought your being firm with us was abuse...if that is the case most of the kids on our entire block was getting the same treatment. Most of us made it out of our hood and doing well.
