So basically, instead of bring answers to very serious questions,mr Clancy is chasing his own tail.

I think it's pretty risky for him to give clear actual answers on a live stream like this. I hope this interview serves the purpose of them realizing that this is a problem tho!

you spiting facts, the labels should act like a filter as well.

Pretty much! Like another comment highlighted aswell, right now you might see a blurred stream in your homepage but you don't even know if it's for a sexual flag, a violence one or what else.
So it's not very useful for now for viewers to decide what they want to see and what not to.

This was a great conversation. You make really good points. They need to implement a way to indicate Mature/18+ content that is NOT necessariy "Sexual Content" but can still be used to block it from appearing based on parental settings and/or some kind of reasonably meaningful age verification, or even just user preference. And those settings/preferences should be easy to find and manage.
I also think that Geega should have followed up and pushed back more though. Good questions, yes, but also a little too quick to just accept the non-answer.

Thank you! I'm pretty sure they didn't have much time unfortunately ^^ also there's only as much that a CEO can say on the spot

i get what he's saying and it seems like he said they're 'looking into it'. they need more content labels and they need it to be like... you NEED a registered account to see 18+ which a ton of websites already do that. and im assuming/hoping that minor accounts are already automatically banned from seeing the 18+. maybe they could have a suggestive label that's 16+? idk because the suggestive label gets... weird but again! its like games that are rated E and games that are rated T. they can just use the esrb lmao

As for limiting the minors to family friendly content, the problem is there's no age verification so a minor can just put a fake age.
Altough this is a very complex topic for basically all other social medias too.
I'm glad he was brought these problems to, hopefully they work on a better categorization and filtering of the contents!
Since as of now, there's no way to fully "filter out" the content labeled as "sexual". It just gets a blurred thumbnail but it still appears in the feed

@@YoshinoArt that's true, but that's already against TOS and a surprising amount of kids are dumb enough to say like 'oh im 12' in chat and get themselves banned. but yeah, sometimes i see blurred thumbnails and i don't even know why! the content labels are not specific enough for me to know what exactly im being shielded from, cleavage or actual sexually explicit language/acts/whatever!
