I always thought OBs tampons are way better fitting comfortable and more secure than Tampax tampons. Evey women and young lady is different and have different opinions and brands they like & grew up on.
For me, my mom, sister we used OBs tampons all our young teen & adult life, me personally I never ever had a problem with leaking or hurting feeling , or any bad discomfort feelings of removing them. Pro comfort tampons are the 100 % the best ones out there by OBs. I personally like and are my number one go too tampons for my period needs. I personally can't say a bad thing about OBs tampons, except like them with an applicator than without, and come with a carry case. It's more sanitary and cleaner in my opinion . I wish OBs tampons would have more of a variety for teens and young women to choose from for Evey store world wide.

  • @alexmagney5326

As someone who used both OB and Tampax I can't ignore the fact you used different absorbing powers. You should use the green Tampax so it's actually acurate. And trust me or check it yourself Tampax hold way better. Elongating is actually more comfortable because I could always feel pressure on my vaginal walls from OB but you don't feel a Tampax - at least I don't. Everyone is different and should use the product that works better for them but it's also a great idea to try some products first. After trying with OB I swore tampons off and discovering Tampaxes a year ago - I love them so much and use them instead of pads which I used to use exclusively. Never leaked either.
This video is just disrepresenting and disinforming because OB used had three drops and Tampax only two - and I hate the idea that someone won't try a Tampax cause of this video so I knew I had to write this comment cause for me they were a real game-changer - plus I just really hate disinformation.

It's been known more than 50 years that Obi works better due to the fact that when Obi gets full of blood it expands sideways not not oblong which is top to bottom when it just goes top to bottom it leaves spaces for the sidewalls for leakage ob doesn't do that it spans out on the sides which is what you need in the end therefore works with no leakage and therefore also holds more blood in the end so oh B is your best friend topped to best friend top to bottom has been for 30 plus years It's not rocket science

Aww this reminds me of the first time using a tampon: small with plastic applicator (easiest), then regular size plastic applicator, moving on to cardboard applicator, then finally graduating to no applicator. OB pro comfort are the best in my opinion. I can't use the ones with just regular material, it feels dry and painful and yucky. Other brands I've tried are much less comfortable (and regular OBs are as well) and I also find the twisted canals helpful to prevent leaking.
I've also only ever used tampons without applicator, and it's really no big deal and much less messy than many think, but I would like to have the opportunity to use an applicator.
My first attempt at using a tampon were miserable. I got one from my mum, I think it was "super" and not that soft silky cover that the OB pro comfort has. I must have been 13-14 and it was absolutely miserable! I didn't even try using tampons again for many years. Felt like heaven when I found the pro comfort and the mini size!

Why was this reccomended to me?
    2. Why is a man comparing tampons?
    3. Do you really think dropping it into a shot glass of water is a comparable test?

I think it’s a decent enough test. It shows the maximum absorption and the shape the tampon takes during absorption. Tampax expands more lengthways, which bears out my experiences with the product. Not good.

In my country tampons with applicators aren't sold and I don't see why you would waste the extra plastic. You have to wash your hands afterwards anyways 🤷🏼‍♀️
And if someone seriously never stuck their finger up their vagina as an adult its about time if you dont want your sex life to suck. Feeling comfortable with your body and your sexuality without shame is so important. 🙏

It's not about that. It's about ease and comfort. The applicator makes it 10x's easier & more comfortable to insert the tampon. Inserting a dry cotton tampon without a plastic applicator is painful (at least for me anyways).

@@SnapesPrincess4 I don't know you or your body, so maybe thats true. But since most countries in the world live without them just fine it could be that you're just used to them or overly sensitive. I wouldn't shove in a dry tampon as well. The first day you should wait for after you pee and not wipe. As soon as the flow gets stronger its no issue whatsoever. Sometimes its worth the extra plastic. And sometimes its worth to try something new to question whether we actually need it or not. That's why I tried several menstrual products to find out what works best for me.

@@SnapesPrincess4 a good non-applicator tampon should feel smooth, not dry or rough. I did try applicator tampons once but found it difficult to get in the right place, so I switched to non-applicator. I guess we all have different experiences and what works for us is what’s important.

From Europe and we don’t really have tampons with applicators… went to America and bought tampax and could honestly never figure out how to use the applicator, it hurt and never got the tampon into the right spot so definitely OB for me plus less waste without using an applicator all the time

i hate these simulations. they need to account for body temperature and the compression that naturally happens in the vaginal canal. like how does the tampon expand and conform to the shape of the vagina in order to avoid leakage? also, that much blood at once is unlikely.

Oh believe me, that amount of blood is realistic. I need ob super plus (the green ones) on my second day and have to change every two hours.
That's why I have a problem with pads, they aren't quick enough with absorbing, so sometimes I can wear the strongest pad and just put a new one and still leak.
