  • This awesome Ford Expedition 4x4 xlt has a 5.4 liter V8 engine. It achieves 13(city)-17(highway) mpg. Super reliable with only recommended maintenance required. This extremely spacious suv is perfect for any camoers and adventurers or those who whish to carry lots of gear.
This vehicle runs and drives great with 262,000 plus miles and only needs minor repairs that are cheap to fix. Make sure to get the right mechanic for your vehicle. Doing regular maintenance this vehicle will easily go 500,000 plus miles on the original motor and transmission. These vehicles have gone 1,000,000 miles on regular and unexpected maintenance. Its up to you to maintain the vehicles life.
With all this vehicles offers and including its reliability as well as its capabilities, I would rate this vehicle at 5 stars for the many factors it offers and excels in. I would buy this vehicle over again. You won't be let down.

Nice video! I had a 2003 Expedition and I got rid of it. Regretted selling it right away. Comfiest truck ever! I am about to go pick up a 2008 with just under 140k miles.

Driving a 2020 expedition max limited right now and I absolutely love it the thing is huge. This has the 375 hp 480 pound feet of torque TwinTurbo V6. I can’t believe how well this thing moves with all that torque and when the dual turbos spool up it sounds amazing

Thank you! I was shopping for a SUV and was looking at 2007 Ford Expedition with 193,000 miles on it. It drove good and my mechanic stated it to be a good vehicle. I've watched your video several times to learn much as I can before buying. You convinced me that the Expedition would be a good choice. I am now so very happy i made the choice to purchase this truck. The ride is smooth and solid. Everyone can be comfortable. So far i give it 5 stars!! Thanks for sharing.
By the way we have same color and style.
    Good video!

Great video! Have you had to fix anything since you've purchased it? oh and look into getting yourself a decent wireless mic to hook up to your videocamera and your videos will be even better.

Funk Skunk I appreciate the feedback a lot. I'm working towards getting better film equipment. I replaced the windshield since it was cracked and now have to replace the right front control arm. Other than that the truck is solid and super reliable. The gas mileage sucks though

I own an 07 Redfire Metallic XLT just like that. I have 160,000 miles on it to date. Word of advice, use Motorcraft FL-820S oil filters, these 5.4L engines hate cheap filters without a good silicone valve which can damage the chain tensioners as they are plastic. Also keep your air filter fresh helps a lot on MPG, although I don’t pay much mind to it or I wouldn’t drive this. I also added factory navigation to upgrade from the factory radio. Great trucks. I just changed my transmission fluid for the first time and it’s shifting much smoother than before.

jamexp I noticed a big difference in the shifting of my truck when I did a transmission fluid flush. it shifts like a new transmission now

Do you know if the previous owner replaced the cam phaser?
Or was the oil pump ever replaced? Having that high miles without the problems of the cam phaser is amazing.

Not really; yes, there were a lot of the 3 valve engines with the phaser and rocker problems, however when you consider that this is considered part of the F150 line, which is the largest seller in the whole world, it's no surprise that you are going to see quite a few. Then again, there are PLENTY of those engines which have had zero problems to consider as well. I'm another; my 2008 had over 200,000 miles, with zero major mechanical repairs required so far. Just an alternator at around 150,000. Other than that, only routine maintenance.

How tall are you? The car looks a lot shorter than I thought it would be but maybe you're pretty tall or it was just the camera angle.

    • @DaylyDriverDayly

I am 6ft. May just have been the angle because it's quite a large truck all around

    How many miles

    • @DaylyDriverDayly
      @DaylyDriverDayly  6 лет назад +1

I have about 265,000 miles as of current and no issues other than right side control arm which should only cost about $200. The engine is like new and expect hundreds of thousands miles more on it before major repairs.

Craigslist is full of big SUVs with over 200,000 miles and I always wondered who was buying them.

Joshua Berman me of course 😂. I love high mile vehicles. If you know what you are looking at and know the mechanics of cars you can get a great vehicle at a great price. Miles don't scare me. It's all about how the vehicle has been maintained throughout its life.
