Its not about caring. Its understanding value of each position and what they contribute ON the field to boost your success. When teams be throwing for 300 yards a game, mock drafters will be right. A running back....if thats the case shoulda took Bijan at 6.

Considering not only this franchise's overall history, but the state it was in when he took over - combined with the fact he had no experience in the role; I already see him as far and away the best GM this team has ever had, and one of the best in the league already. I don't think "legendary" will ultimately be a big enough word.

Brad completely jumped all other teams at RB, LB, and TE....then had great players fall to the at DB and QB. Totally nailed the draft. Got 5 top guys on their draft board at 5 positions we needed. How can you not love this draft.

I don't understand how some people have given us a low grade, we got the #1 LB,#1 Saftey, the 1-2# RB and the 1-2# TE and Herndon Hooker that would have went in the first round if he wouldn't have been injured. This also was not a great Draft class.
Most teams only had 1st round grades of like 15- maybe 20 players at the most.
Other than LaPorta all of the players I just mentioned, all have 1st round grades.

To me this comes from confidence. If you aren’t sure about what you’re doing as a leader you put up a wall around your vision and be cryptic in your explanations. He’s as up front and as honest as he can be without giving away the important stuff.

Brad's created a finite process of evaluating players, that takes into considering how the player fits the team, culture and coaching. I have a feeling he will have many people that work with him that will also be very successful. Lastly, I want him to be so great that he becomes a Detroit Lion legend and part of making the Lions a bonafide WINNER for years to come. Amen!

I'm thinking u resign Goff now and if hooker is a franchise qb then maybe u can trade Goff a couple years down the line. U sign Goff to a 3 year extension which would keep him here til 26, 27 maybe. If he goes out and plays like he did last year these next couple and hooker develops who's to say u can't trade Goff for a 1st. Imagine that, this stacked roster with an extra 1st 2 years from now and a cheap QB for 2 more years. Sounds like some dynasty type shit to me😂

Why would Goff want to play another down for your football team if you brought in this guy and put him on the bench? Rodgers loved it when they drafted a 1st rounder. Only reason and only reason they took a chance on Hooker is because he fell to later rounds where you "could" get great value but if not you may have a decent back up.

It’s not all about positions to this competent GM, it’s about traits regardless of position. That is exactly why we’re starting to see an upward trajectory, combined with a coaching staff that can actually develop. F$@k the pundits and espn. This process is working in short order. Which is no big deal and makes sense cause that's who will benefit from the "big arm" he mentions a few seconds before. BUT it's the fact that he's literally envisioning Hooker passing to Jameson that is the big deal... He's subconsciously (or consciously) expecting Hooker will be the replacement for Goff! He literally admits it with the words he chose!! Google search "Bode Well" the definition states - "to show or suggest that future developments or events will be good or favorable." As I had hoped.. and kind of expected, Hooker wasn't drafted to JUST be a backup, Holmes is expects much more!!

After listening to Holmes speak about several draftees not needing to play right away. That they had a bit of a runway to get up to speed-it’s clear that the Lions are finally able to play the long game with talent. Which should bode well in the bigger picture for Detroit.

I really think signing Brad as GM for life is the best decision. 🤣🤣🤣(or atleast 5 more year realistically).
The passion is so amazing and the grind he has. More I’ve gotten to hear and read about his story the more respect I have.

As I was watching this draft go I could not have been happier. I rated all the player selections highly... Gibbs, Campbell, Laporta, and Branch. All are going to be great pros. I don't care where someone is drafted... Are they a good football player?

I am so glad it was said here as I kept saying it at all the draft haters. I trust Brad Holmes as he has not given me any reasons not to. If he believes these players are what we need to win let’s go.

Damn, Brad Holmes reminds me of Dr. Jordan Peterson. His communication skills through speech are crisp and based on facts that he's happy to reveal, explain and defend. Kudos also to the Lions top brass for exposing the organization to the fans via social media.

@A5ids Jordan Peterson is a brilliant and articulate human being who is laser focused on the problems that are plaguing society. What could you possibly have against JP? You one of those pronoun clowns or something?
