you missed some - between the Fairway and the Plough [it too is now flats but you still missed it {The Britannia}], The Balby Bridge [on Roberts Road], The Horse and Jockey, Corner Pin, Leopard and The Railway[West Sreet] - [and also The Fitzwilliam Arms behind the Corporation Taps] {yes I know some are no longer there, but that was the real "Golden Mile" of Balby (Alverley and The Spinney were never on that list of "Golden Mile" Pubs BTW)}

I grew up in the alverley pub fantastic memories through the 80s and 90s I loved that place I lived on maddingley close at the back of it
