The Maehwa tee turned out so perfect! Beautiful knitting and impressive job on the gauge and fit, chefs kiss. The perfect week of summer, thanks again for inviting me along to Crosby, where we knit. ❤
I can NOT even imagine an LYS 6 blocks from my house! What a joy for you. I just found you today as I am thinking about making the Incredible Blanket (am I really going to embark on a large blanket with fingering weight yarn?? I mean I want to but do I REALLY want to?) and you popped up. I absolutely love your enthusiasm, your love of fiber, and your ‘podcast’ ! Perhaps you shall it a VLOG? So glad I found you.
So happy to have found your podcast. I have tonight binge watch all 6 Episodes :-) from Sydney, Australia. I am only new to knitting, a late starter, who is quickly becoming addicted. You have given me lots of inspiration. Thank you
@@PickleBerryMiss Thank you for watching and subscribing! I’m trying to be more intentional in working on his blanket now.💗. I hope you continue enjoying my little video podcast. I’m tickled people are enjoying it! ~k
Awww, I adore your Purl Soho blanket (and the yarn gifts from your son!) That is so, so sweet. It’s looking SO good! I totally remember meeting you at Rhinebeck (and your friends, who must have opened the shop since then! We talked about it!!) I definitely want to stop by Dandelion Fiber next time I’m in MN - I drive up a few times a year. I’ll have to let you know next time I’m in the area. (Also, loooove the modern quilt.)
Jen! Thank you for your comments! I have been watching yours for quite some time. You MUST get ahold of me when you come to Minneapolis. I’d love to have coffee, lunch, dinner, anything. Can’t wait to keep working on my blanket while sending good vibes to my son. Enjoy your daughter’s senior year. It goes much too quickly. 💛

Hi Kristen: I love your podcast, what an awesome treat! You came up on my YT feed, I am binge watching your podcasts as I am knitting at the crack of dawn. I am recommending your awesome podcast to my YT podcasting friend. I think she would enjoy it as well. How lucky are you to be living within walking distance of your favorite yarn store. I love to visit if I am ever lucky enough to visit MN. I used to worked as the Assistant Teacher for two years in Universal Pre-K when the program launched 26 years ago. I love your jumper, you are an amazing Sewist! Love your food segment as well as your knitting recommendations! knitting to help us destress as we go about the stages of life. I love the cotton tee that you wore on the podcast. I am inspired to knit it. It is different and challenging. We are fortunate that we have our knitting. My kids are out of the nest. I have a grand kid that I have to baby sit a few days a week. Life gets hectic and is emotional at times, but knitting keeps us grounded and sane. Thank you very much for sharing and doing a podcast, keep up the wonderful work! Happy crafting! ❤
@@whereweknit You are very welcome, Kristen! (I am native New Yorker (Manhattan) for 40 years before relocating to Brooklyn, NY. Never been to Rhinebeck, despite two hours away. Don’t drive, do not have friends that knits or crochets or. Would love to go one of these days. However, last year’s problem at Wool & Folk reminded me that my unfortunate ankle injury is not suited for long lines and possible evacuation problems should emergency situations arise.
I live in Minneapolis now but I grew up in Lawrence, KS where KU is located. Go Jayhawks! No long term projects-I am a pretty monogamous knitter but I have started having a more mindless knit and a more interesting knit going at the same time. Just working on the belt for my Kuutar Wrap Cardigan by Sari N.
Just found you today Kristen and am binge watching your video podcasts. I think your Minnesota accent is charming. I have an Atlantic Canadian accent...no doot aboot it, Eh? 😂 Thanks you ! 🥰🇨🇦Sharon.
Ok I’m chucking because my husband just walked into our living room and says “what are you listening to?” I responded “this is my new knitting BFF and we are sharing knitting ideas! She’s a teacher, I’m a teacher, she’s Kristin I’m Christy, we’re both blondes, we both knit, we have so much in common!” 😂 My long term project that I’m about to cast on is the No Frills Cardi by PetiteKnits. Ali from Ali Makes Everything (I think that’s right) made it and totally inspired me! So I’ve swatched a LOT of knitting for olive trying to decide what my color is going to be - it’s such a big knit I just don’t want to make the wrong color choice!!! I’m getting counsel from my girls on color selection but hoping to start soon! I live in Little Rock but travel often for dog shows and would love to meet for drinks, coffee, lunch, maybe in KC? 😊❤
@@BethKaKnits No real recipes. For the panini, it’s just sliced peaches, fresh mozzarella, basil, little drizzle of honey. For pizza, I used Trader Joe’s pizza crust, grilled it first, brushed with olive oil. Topped with pieces of Burrata, slices of prosciutto, grilled peaches. Then put in broiler till it’s toasty. Took it out and topped with arugula, drizzle with olive oil and balsamic. Yum!
Love the knitting content, we all have those long hauls lol Loving “My Favourite Things”, I had a few good chuckles. How do we find the cool-fun-useful things if no one tells us about them??
The Rowan summerlite 4ply was a dissapointment to me because it piles quite a bit. I made the Amelie Tee by Petite Knit which turned out great, great pattern and will make it again but with a different mercerised cotton like the King Cole Giza that I had used for the contrasting color, this cotton does not pile like the Summerlite, maybe because it is mercerised? I so like your projects and your 3 favorite things, you are amazing; the recipe is one I will make very soon with our own arugula and tomatoes from our garden and local peaches grown in abundance here in Niagara, it's the season, perfect recipe timing. On to watching your next vlog, getting caught up, I am so enjoying it. Thank you.
Thank you for watching and I’m so glad you are enjoying the content. I’m really enjoying connecting with other makers and having so much fun! Oh, I really hope my Summerlite doesn’t pull. Well, live and learn. I got the inexpensive at least.💛.
I would love if you shared in the comments how you made that flatbread pizza. I have a picky eater that loves flatbread and I would love to give him something different to try. I have two long haul projects and both are blankets. I am almost done with the tapestry crochet one. I am dreading the knitted mitered square one that has so many ends to weave in but I want the blanket so it will get done. ❤
