Wow my favourite country. I have been to Portugal quite a few times but never to Lisbon. Thank you for a fab video I will definitely be going there . Also only a two and a half hour flight for me 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
What parts of Portugal you are familiar with? Madeira? Algarve? Those are the most touristy regions. But my country has a lot to show to you. Perhaps you will try other destinations more of the off-beat track? Alentejo is a must.
Hey guys! Thank you for sharing my beloved home country and city. Please came back in June when there is a Saint festival all the streets in the historic center are decorated, we have music and the famous sardines are sell on the streets, just grilled with salt and we eat it with bread. But the can food sardine are also good! 🤗❤️
as a portuguese i usually eat canned tuna ( but not out of the can) and i dont think canned fish are seen as much of a delicacy here, I think the big difference is that we are very proud of our fish here. but loved the video!!
You two have done a great job of making you videos and when you are through traveling you should get into this professionally and you two are both so presentable (looks and personality wise) you should rake in some big bucks being reality TV stars (there, Claire answer to your quarter life crisis) that will make you enough money you don't have to work in a regular job unless love what you do and then it's not a job-hey being a full time volunteer is great I always found that they appreciate you more than employers!
Lisbon tends to do that, being born in that city I have to say that everytime that I lived away in other countries in Europe my heart was filled with saudades from my beloved Lisbon. I'm sure you will visit again, hope that when that happens the city treats you nicely once more
I advise everyone going to Lisbon, to just walk and walk, everywhere and to every little corner, neighborhood and street. Tourist places are for sure historically important but the magic of this city is in the places, streets, people and food. Go to Alfama, downtown, the river, Chiado, "miradouros", rio Tejo, to the beaches, and so on but do as much as possible. The city has a lot to offer for sure! And at night, bairro alto or some bars near cais do Sodré are great choices
Your attitude as tourists is one of enthusiasm and very respectul to your host country. You guys set up an excellent example to all travelers. I hope the people who will be inspired to visit my country after watching your videos will bring with them the same level of enthusiasm and happiness.
nice comment, they really make the effort to learn a little about their host country and try to have a real authentic experience. best wishes from crete... ps they did the same here in crete and hope they come back
"Live more with less" is such an inspiring consideration. I appreciate that you model this sentiment from dining on sardines to walking the stairs rather than taking the paid lift. The joy is often in the journey. Thanks so much for sharing your journey with us! 🙂
Well said! Everytime we edit these videos together and add the "Live more with less" at the end it's amazing how it forces us to reflect on how the previous days had gone. Thanks for following along, Greg!
Your Portuguese is Brazilian accent which is not 100% Portuguese of Portugal 🇵🇹!! And why you play brasilian music?!?! Please as Portuguese I am is irritating!! Brasil is not Portugal! Portugal 🇵🇹 IS PORTUGAL
Hey! I'm so sorry I just now saw this message. The reason we chose to use Brazilian Portuguese music is because our copyright music provider had no Portuguese songs to choose from. So we decided using Bossa Nova would be a better choice than just english. I am sorry if you disagree with our decision, but please know we were aware of our decision.

Overall I liked this video but just don’t do a video about Portugal and put a Brazilian song. Portugal have amazing songs and singers you should check it 😊

Ah, I miss the egg tarts from Macau too! The Portuguese architecture in Macau was one of my favorite parts about the island so it's interesting to see it's origins. You two look like you could live in Portugal forever- the colors and patterns there look so stunning.
Baffles me why one would pair a sour cherry liquor (typically a dessert pairing or more often on its own) and canned fish. Strangest pairing ever along with free pouring! That stuff is typically a small shot (1.5 -2 oz.) A vinho verde or a medium bodied red (plenty of tempered 'cooler' reds in Portugal) would have paired far better and would have been more appropriate. Plenty of wine shops in Lisbon or even local grocery stores carry decent wines. Canning fish was a necessity - to preserve it. It's more of novelty item today more than anything though most consume these products in pairing with other things: bread, potatoes, beans/chickpeas, in salads, onions, pimentos, dressed olive oil and/or red wine vinegar, etc. Seldomly are they consumed on their own straight out of the tin. If you get a premium ginja it's not as sweet - way more balanced. Home made with aguardente, sugar, cinnamon, sour cherries (ginja).
I like the value of initial impressions as well as the highlights of a particular adventure. This not only makes your videos unique, but enhances our enjoyment and excitement right along with you.

The Portuguese age of discoveries started around the 1400’s. Fado was created by a student from the University of Coimbra in the 1800’s. Fado has nothing to do with the age of discovery!
Lisbon is a very enjoyable town. Porto is worth a stop too. Quite different. But I saw on Instagram that you've left Portugal. Maybe another time! The only problem with your video is that now I have a craving for pasteis de nata!! I recently traveled to Madeira and enjoyed some again :-)

Wow, I can’t believe that you ate all of those pastries as well as the croissant sandwich! I was there three years ago I can’t wait to get back. Was that octopus for two? I had octopus in Porto and the portion size was much smaller. You should try the Francesinha as well.
I believe it was for one person, but we share everything at this point haha. Thanks for the recommendation on Francesinha! Sounds like a really good dish!
Have fun guys. I was there in my late 20s back in 2000s. Great architecture. You may want to go on a port wine tour. It will be pricey but surely worth it as its unique to Portugal. Not sure, but there likely is bull fighting (obviously highly controversial). Spain has it as well. The scalped tickets were $200 when I was there. Have fun!

Cool video. Nice to see how views from tourists are build upon their experience, in my hometown, during the visit. Some points are really off, specially the canned sardines bit it's really not a delicacy "plate"... but it's cool to watch for sure, safe travels.
Thank you for your nice video and all the nice words said about my country. But just one thing, which i'm sure other portuguese might have comented as well: please for the love of all that is holy, dont use brazilian music in regard to Portugal!! Yes, the language is the same but the culture is not and Portugal have their own very old and proud musical tradition and culture. This is not a bash against our brazilian cousins, but an attempt to inform about the uniqueness of our portuguese culture, which is so often mistook for spanish or brazilian. We are neither.
Hey Carlos! This was a decision we made and now regret in the editing process. Our copyright music provider does not offer any Portuguese music other than Bosa Nova. Although it is not the same, we wanted to use Portuguese rather than English music. So we decided to use it anyways.
I'm so glad you enjoyed Portugal! It's a shame you only stayed for such a short time though. I'm sure you would have loved other Portuguese cities too as our country changes quite a lot depending on the region you're at. Also, that octopus portion was so small kkkk. As my favourite dish, I would at least have eaten the double of that by myself kkk.
Not even me from Portugal knew about the story of pasteis de nata and its 1st bakery, i just eat them like everyone else, people that come from other countries are very interested about our culture and ofc food, but for us is something that is normal and some dont understand why "foreigners" are amazed by Portugal, but i agree Portugal is something amazing even though is small thank you for visiting us :)
hi! great video from my city! just wanna say that sardines are a delicacy if fresh, canned food is not that appreciated by portuguese, but there is a lot of production of it and it became like a touristy thing around lisbon, not that traditional. Portuguese are all about the fresh seafood
I´m from Portugal and I loved the video. If you have a chance sometime in summer you should visit Algarve or Setúbal ( my hometown near Lisbon). Lots of natural fauna and flora and high quality beaches.
absolutly loved this video. im always so happy to see people from around the world enjoying my city. a little side note: there are way over (no one knows actually) than 1000 recipies for cod fish. we have a saying: Há mil e uma maneiras de cozinhar bacalhau. i hope you guys visit portugal more times and please if you have the opurtunity see other places. i promise you will want to retire here. much love to you guys EDIT: ive been checking your other videos. glad you visiting more of portugal

Love you sharing Lisbon. Esp the large statue 🇨🇦❤️ enjoy.
So thankful to awake to a new video best way to start my day ,thanks guys
You have to eat sardines in the summer. (Sardinhas assadas na brasa). Not in the can
I'm so glad you enjoyed Portugal! It's a shame you only stayed for such a short time though. I'm sure you would have loved other Portuguese cities too as our country changes quite a lot depending on the region you're at. Also, that octopus portion was so small kkkk. As my favourite dish, I would at least have eaten the double of that by myself kkk.
you need to stop with thr brazilian music this is portugal.
OMG you guys are so sweet! And I'm glad you liked Lisbon :) hugs from a local
Why did you put Brazilian music Over This ? 🤣🤣
hi! great video from my city! just wanna say that sardines are a delicacy if fresh, canned food is not that appreciated by portuguese, but there is a lot of production of it and it became like a touristy thing around lisbon, not that traditional. Portuguese are all about the fresh seafood
Os portugueses consomem bastante atum ou sardinhas enlatadas.Lisboa não representa o país inteiro.
Guys this is brazilian music not portuguese 😅
Finally someone mentions Fado! Carminho is my favorite singer!
Hello C&C💞🙋🏽♀️❕❕I’m Soooooo excited for this journey 🤗another beautiful morning. 😍Oh My look at breakfast 🥐😋THANKS GUYS
Without a fault, every video on Portugal uses a Brazilian soundtrack 😂
quatro pasteis de nata e um croissant de fiambre, jesus que fome
I so enjoyed the tour of Lisbon and the food. It was everything I expected. Thanks for sharing and see you next video.
a lot of pastel de nata can give you diarrhea 😅
Hi guys! Usually Ginga should be served with smaller cups... To drink it slowly as an aperitif or digestive... and then will it tastes much better. 😅
I´m from Portugal and I loved the video. If you have a chance sometime in summer you should visit Algarve or Setúbal ( my hometown near Lisbon). Lots of natural fauna and flora and high quality beaches.
Hi Dinis hope u watch our portugal vidoes
Porque meteram uma música brasileira de fundo?
absolutly loved this video. im always so happy to see people from around the world enjoying my city. a little side note: there are way over (no one knows actually) than 1000 recipies for cod fish. we have a saying: Há mil e uma maneiras de cozinhar bacalhau. i hope you guys visit portugal more times and please if you have the opurtunity see other places. i promise you will want to retire here. much love to you guys
EDIT: ive been checking your other videos. glad you visiting more of portugal
hellooo!! just got my first video uploaded, hope you enjoy it
The music is in brazilian portuguese1:49
Beautiful place, looks calm. Every time I seen or heard Sardines I thought of "Swallow Falls " ( Cloudy with a chance of meatballs )😄
I just rewatched a clip from cloudy with a chance of meatballs on RUclips and it's absolutely perfect haha. When everyone realized "Sardines are gross" the cannery goes broke.
@@ChadandClaire hahahaha, great movies those 2, we watched so many times now.
Chad and Claire you REALLY have to check where you can fly a drone and where you are not allowed. Ignoring local local regulations can put you in deep trouble, in some countries.
Amazing edit and shots!!! Just discovered your channel! I’m subscribed and very excited about your content. Very well done! Cheers
