How did I miss this video! I love each way you showed us to display blankets! I had to laugh as my mind went back in time to all the “Afghans” that ladies had in the 50’s - 90’s THAT HAD TO BE FOLDER OVER THE SOFA! LOL!! If company came I would scramble to fold that afghan nicely over the sofa as my Mother was telling me to! LOL!! I guess the saying goes “ this is not your Mother’s .........., “ blankets! LOL! So beautiful ! I love your bedding. I will have to go through your playlist and find where you got it. I think Potterybarn because I recognize it! The day will come when my guest room is ready for the purchase. I adore Potterybarn. Such great quality!
I remember those afghans over the sofa too! Hahaha! You are totally right - all of my bedding is from Pottery Barn. I figured I'd probably have it for many years to come, so thought it was worth a bit of a splurge to get something I knew would stand the test of time. You can find links to it all near the bottom of this post on my blog: www.makingitinthemountains.com/light-airy-farmhouse-spring-bedroom-tour/. Thanks again Jayne! I always look forward to your kind and encouraging comments!
Beautifully done, I like the ideas you shared. I have blankets on all the beds in my home too. Thanks for sharing, I always enjoy participating in Christina's collab.
You have such a beautiful and cozy looking home :) Love the ideas - blanket ladder is my pick - as so many others have shared..Thank you for the video..
Thank you for sharing your creative and cozy tips 😊 there’s just something about blankets that just saids warm and cozy. Especially when they are so creative displayed around the house 🏡 thank you for sharing love your videos
Love it! Great ways to display blankets. I don't have room to store my blankets in my linen closet. I like to store them in a basket also. Do you have a tutorial on making a blanket ladder?
I actually have a few tutorials on my blog, but this one is still my favourite: www.makingitinthemountains.com/farmhouse-home-30-minute-diy-blanket-ladder/. Hope this helps!
I'm genuinely curious how do people keep their homes this nice? I am at my Wit's end trying to keep my home clean. I know I can't put baskets in the floor because I have bad dogs that will pee on them. I moved over a year ago and I still have not got unpacked and organized even though I spend all day cleaning. I have ADHD that makes it hard sometimes, so I stay on it. I just can't keep up let alone get ahead.
I know this is an old message but I figured you would still probably appreciate the tips. What I do is make sure everything has a home. Clutter doesn’t happen/ isn’t overwhelming to put away if it all belongs somewhere that looks nice. Also what works for me is to put on some lofi music or a movie I’ve seen a million times in the background so I’m not tempted to sit down and pull out my phone or anything, because I have something to zone out on. Also don’t expect to be perfect. Most people who have houses that are perfect don’t have dogs, or adhd. It really all impacts it. Also don’t try to do the conventional methods. As someone who is on the neurodivergent spectrum I’ve learned that a lot of times when I try to make things perfect it doesn’t work. You just have to make things livable, and maybe try to get rid of some stuff? I started to lean more towards minimalism. It makes it way easier to stay on top of things both because you have less stuff to be out of its home, and because if you use everything you own it never just sits and collects dust(or hair). I hope this was helpful both to the OC and to anyone else that sees this.
May I ask what color of paint you have on your walls? We live in far north Idaho and I’m wanting to have bright walls as well with a white trim and yours are bright but cozy 😍 Also, I noticed your jewelry holder in your room...I’m looking for something to put my earrings on since we minimized. I love all your cozy blanket ideas💗
I'm always happy to share! Our walls are painted with Edgecomb Grey and our trim work is all Cloud White, both are from Benjamin Moore. They're great colours to brighten things up a bit, but still keep that warm, cozy feeling. I picked the jewelry holder up on a random trip to HomeSense, but I found something similar here: amzn.to/2uJtcEn. Thanks so much Andrea! Hopefully this helps!
I did! I LOVE visiting the Spokane and Coeur d'Alene area! There are SO many wonderful little shops to explore. Thank you! I hope you enjoy following along!

I have a couple wooden blanket boxes. They hang out at the end of beds.
How pretty! I've always wanted a blanket box at the foot of the bed, but we've never had enough space for it.
I subscribed right away 🥰
Thank you SO much!
