Where is the other lady who always sat up front next to Morgan? I dont know her name but she was always present for the previous episodes of both this show & all of GoT. I noticed she wasn't there last week for the premiere which was a surpise. Now she's not here this week either... Bummer. Is she no longer a patron of the bar? I hope she returns, I really enjoyed her reactions & funny facial expressions.
"Mind yourself." Rhaenys stays calm & cool, doesn't raise her voice or move, continues to look straight ahead (but sees all and is ready to react instantly if needed). Only says those two quiet words but everybody listens. That's a queen right there.
His particular form of evil feels less unhinged like Joffrey and Ramsay and more like straight-up narcissists most of us have encountered in real life. The fact that he decided Ser Arryk’s fate because he had a shame spiral and projected it onto this dude for having a dirty cloak.

The confrontation between Rhaenyra and Daemon was damn cathartic. Emma and Matt acted the hell out of that scene, Emma especially (I can smell the Emmy). It even rivals the scene between Rhaenyra and Alicent in season 1, arguably, even beat it. 💯❤️

You understand ! A armoured Targaryen riding off on a dragon with some ominous Ramin Djawdi House Targaryen theme playing in the background is my drug. Loved that scene and I love how djawadi gives Targaryen’s the best music and themes
I have to admit, I was the most ardent Criston Cole apologist/defender before this episode. But what he did to Ayyrk, sending him off to certain death out of Cole’s inability to face his guilt in failing to defend Jaehyrs is beyond redemption.
I slightly was at first during his rejection. Like the dude is allowed to be upset. But then seeing the time jump and he was still bitching about it, I was like yeahhhh you got issues my guy lol
@@mahitoapologist I didn’t blame him for turning on Rhaenyra. Rhaenyra totally led him on and when he asked her to run away with him she spurned him and asked him to continue to sneak around with her. Cole saw that as a direct insult to his honor so that I understood why he turned on Rhaenyra. As for Cole killing Joffrey (Laenor’s gay lover), I saw that as excusable since the way Joffrey approached Laenor, it could’ve been interpreted as an attempt to blackmail Cole. Alicent picked up Cole when he was at his lowest, so I understood his unwavering loyalty to Alicent thereafter. Everything but Cole’s interaction with Ayyrk last episode was justifiable, IMHO.
@@Adam-mj5hl Cole never cared about his honor. If he did he wouldn’t be screwing alicent regardless of how indebted he feels towards her. He didn’t want to be rhaenyra’s side piece because of “his honor” but he is more than happy to become alicent’s just days after King Viserys’ death. His ego was bruised and instead of moving on he decided to be petty and vindictive. I feel no pity for him.
Excellent move, adding subtitles to the bar viewings! I watch everything with subtitles these days. I just find that I pick up so much more that way-especially when it comes to character & place names. Cheers to Season 2!
This show is doing a fantastic job of making both sides seem both easy to demonize and easy to side with - I myself am firmly team black, but unlike GoT where it was easy to hate the Baratheon/Lannister dynasty, I genuinely feel bad for Aegon and even see him as a compassionate, though young and spoiled, king while his mother, being manipulative as she may have been, is a mother who wants her sons to do great things without the selfish and vain darkness of a Cersei.
Daemon carrying his lady's lock and key was incredible, she served beauty and wisdom on an absurd level. Now we understand why he went to cry in Harrenhall, I would be sad too.🤣😭🖤✨
The Twins have been actors on UK Television since they were kids, one was in the Original British version of Shameless whilst at the same time his twin was in the Soap Opera Emerdale.
The dynamics of parent-child bond between Otto and Alicent is reflected onto Alicent and her own children: Aegon, Haelena, and Aemond. Alicent never received compassion, warmth, affection, and sympathy from her dad; hence, she is unable to offer such actions and emotions toward her own children. She tries to confess her sins to Otto but he doesn't have the time for Alicent, his own daughter. For Otto, everything is about practical usage and rationality, neither passion nor compassion. As such, Alicent tries to justify her actions to Haelena, unable to fathom her daughter's state mind slowly descending into psychotic breakdown. Since Alicent is unable to provide comfort for her children having received none herself from her father, her children seek it elsewhere by themselves: Aegon cries by himself in anger and despair, Aemond seeks comfort in brothel, showing regret and guilt for his past actions.
