I'm curious, if you want the car to be as original as possible, why not source an original Mitsubishi deck? It has a CD changer connector which you can get a simple cable adapter to connect up an iPod or anything else with the standard 3.5mm "aux" connector or even bluetooth. That's basically what I did with my Evo V, it came with a stereo similar to yours but it was garbage. The original stereo with a mini Alpine 4 channel amp (hidden behind the dash) and upgraded speakers in the doors made for a great stereo while still looking completely stock.
Oh I might have to think about this. I love the car so far as long as I have a way to play my music I’m not to concerned. I actually have an FpGreen and an upgraded manifold if I decide to go that route so I’m not sure what I’m going to do with the car just yet.
