I hung with these guys on the Dust tour and saw them live about 9 times. The Conner brothers are about the coolest guys you could ever hope to meet and Josh is a really great guy. Barrett pretty much keeps to himself and Lanegan, well, he's Lanegan. I saw Josh years later at a QOTSA show and he remembered my name which was really impressive considering how many people he must come across.
This will always be one of the best bands of all time in my book alot of grunge bands decided not to be part of the spotlight even though they deserved a much larger audience
Lanegan shits on the Trees music a bit in his book, but damn they had some tunes. Dust is a truly magnificent record. Also, reading the section around this performance, its amazing he could even stand up there to sing. Thankfully he made it through to keep making awesome music today.
RIP and long live Mark Lanegan (November 25, 1964 - February 22, 2022), aged 57
RIP Mark Lanegan. Thank you very much for your voice and contribution to rock music. Very honored to still hear your music.
I love this version. They appeared on Later during what would their final UK tour in ‘96.
So glad Mark got out of his addiction alive.
Sweet Oblivion and Dust are up their with any album from the 'Grunge' era. Masterpieces
That beautiful deep baritone voice sends shivers down my spine. RIP Mark. You had one of the most distinctive voices in rock.
Josh hommes guitar playing style shines through even when he's a session guy.
That guitar work is spectacular

Yay! That's MY guitar Gary Lee Conner's playing! I mean, I bought it off of him back in 2002/2003... =O)
RIP Brother. One of the greatest voices. Love you man.

One of my 'top 3 Jools Holland Performances'.

Awesome dual solo from Van and Josh.
I love the fact that a young Josh Homme is playing second guitar on the song!!!!!!!
Trees underrated as hell
Young Josh Homme learning his craft. Saw them live on this tour at the Bristol Bierkeller, to this day the best band I have ever seen live!
R.I.P. Mr. Mark Lanegan legend of Grunge , thank you for your music ! 👏🏻🙏😓🕯️
