- Ever been in a cemetery and wondered what some of the symbols on old headstones mean? In this video, we explore the various symbols used by historic communities as part of their death rituals. Grave symbols in American have changed dramatically over the past 4 centuries and will no doubt continue to change with time. Who knows, perhaps some of these symbols, like the clasped hands and the dove will once again become popular?

This video was really interesting. I found out a lot that I didn't know. It's interesting to see that many of the symbols were also common here in Scotland but it was great to see that ones that had an American history.
