I really respect how you don't let anything bother you, you just face the problem and deal with it calmly and rationally until you find a solution. Keeping a good attitude about the situation.
11:31 Everyone is so great here. I need to give props to Ben for being so kind, especially to the young ones. Hunter was putting himself out there and showing vulnerability, and Ben said "That stuff is soft. You did a good job." That type of affirmation goes much farther than you would think. Keep it up!
Yes it's True a poor artist blames his tools. Paul this is why I like you and Ben. Yes you have your favorite but you know how to use the tool to get the job done. For sure Old Hunter could have used some practice but you haven't got all day either 😇. Love you guys and you too Hunter. Keep hanging around good people like Paul and Ben Hunter you grow up one of these days. Have a good one guys. All in fun. 😊
The only thing that almost makes up for not having anymore wrecker build videos is getting to see the wrecker in action and that's one situation you really needed it! Trying to get that out with kinetic energy without being able to lift it and break the suction would have been a recipe for disaster. Great to see the tow truck kicking goals!
As an old Towbum I would suggest you learn the benefits of using Snatch blocks. Not going into the math but if you were to add a Snatch block to the stuck vehicle which would allow you to run your cables back to the truck you're doubling your pulling power. If you really want to get the stuck out add hydraulic down force cylinders to "stab" into the ground. We built a recovery vehicle on a Jeep cj. Took a heavy winch off a heavy wrecker and added two hydraulic cylinders to the back. Worked well.
A few recommendations Put line locks in to anchor better Get scotch blocks that tie off the back of your truck to anchor you better. Install d rings on your rear bumper for extra tie offs. When you first started pulling at a distance if you went from the boom to a snatch block and back to your rear bumper, it would have created more of a rear pull with your truck bust still created a lift. Also some rim slings / continous loop would have made a huge difference. Park close lift the stuck wheel and it would have popped the front right out. Good content just trying to make life easier Joe
That was a messy job glad y'all were able to safely get the truck and camper out! Can't wait for the Toyota to be back out wheeling so that maybe we get to see a wrecker transmission tear down and carnage video. We need bonus video of Grayder, Jase, and Landon doing clean up on the wrecker! 😂😂😂
Who is better than Ben? Such a great guy and an outstanding brother. Ben, your commute surely stinks, but you are such an integral part of the FabRats. Please stay with it. God bless your entire family, Ben and Paul.
You gents take all in your stride, the smile, the laughs all show don't allow the negative aspect to get to you. Really great, enjoyable video. From my experience of work on power lines in rural areas, in got stuck plenty. We drove rear wheel drive Isuzu picks, very few with rear diff locks. Frustrating and sometimes depressing but there were times when it was hilarious. Thanks for the entertainment and keep doing video on all your work. God bless you all. PS. Ben and Hunter are great additions to your channel ❤
I think we need to see some small upgrades to hunters rig like a winch, a tool box so he can keep hitches and ropes in it. And make some good mud tires sense he likes mud!!
I've been saying it for a while now, that truck needs outriggers in the rear, it's too light upfront to get full functionality out of the boom. The electric winches may be faster but the hydraulic ones were way more powerful, they could have been sped up by putting a higher flow pump on the truck.
You folks have some serious industrial strength mud down there in Utah. Kudos to Paul for taking the dive over the muddy tires to hook up under the pickup!
It's nice to see the Rat rod tow truck working again. You really need duel's on the rear like Trail Mater's It'll help stabilizer the rear end give better support on the rear. Yes when they're stuck deep in mud the only option is winching as you found out on this recovery. Good thing Tucker brought his truck you needed the anchor on the front. Love seeing Ben helping!
Impressive! Being in the Towing industry for over 30 years, I have to say, Well done. You got that out with an Ol' Square body, highly optioned, BaddAss tow truck! You make me want to build, NO, You build, me a BassAss twin!
Hunter's truck got stuck I didn't think that was possible. And the square body pulled him out. Good job Paul. LoL love watching you guys do this type of work. Keep it up.
Morning Fab RATS Family!! You sure saved that guy's vacation!! Minimal inconvenience only having to be stuck there overnight... (And having to SAVE HUNTER'S truck was icing on the cake!! 🤣) Safe travels, friends ❤️❤️ Stay FROSTY... Keep your powder dry and your head on a swivel... 🇺🇸🇺🇸WWG1WGA🇺🇸🇺🇸NCSWIC🇺🇸🇺🇸
Agreed! I was thinking about when he was setting up the suspension during the build. That was full squish with the front axle off the ground, but no tire rub and no bent parts!
I drive a tandem axle mack roll off truck, when I've got a real heavy bin it'll pull the front wheels 5 feet off the ground loading it up 😂 it just puts a huge grin on my face, I'm sure Paul feels the same way doing this
Edit: I guess you can't yank a trailer backwards and I'm the dummy never having towed or been under one (sober haha) Traction pads and a shovel would've been completely useless on a job like this. What they needed was a heavy rig like Matt's and a k-rope. They should've gone backwards too so the trailer didn't go through the mud
Must be the day to post mud pit rescues. You and Matt both having some pretty deep mud holes to pull vehicles out of. Great job on the recovery. Always nice to have the extra "tools" to help the situation out. Have a great weekend!
Paul, I think the you should get a couple of the old screw in down guy anchors. When the soup doesn't give you a place to park an anchor vehicle, it would sure be nice to be able to make your own anchor point.
Well done...that was gumbo mud...gotta drive these roads with extreme care...no venturing even a little off the road bed. Great recovery...Paul, Ben and Hunter.
Nice recovery. For a minute there I didn't think the wrecker was going to be able to pull it off. The rear tires were scrubbing the wheel wells it looked like. Nice wheelie !!!
"Stuck" is quite the understatement here.
Buried would be a better description 😂
@@Kentucky921 was going to say, if it’s not stuck it’s buried or flooded
@@owendodman3037 either way it’s stuck, right?
Earth was reclaiming this one 😂
@Life's Tokens that it most definitely was lol 🤣🤣

I think the closest I have see him mad was the derby car transmission
Idk he seemed a little more irritated when the boy rear ended him on the snow rescued
@@ThatPNWGuy2024 That's what I was thinking.. They cut the camera pretty quick after that happened.. LOLOLOL
Onward and upward. No good solution ever comes out of anger and frustration. Cooler heads will always prevail.
@WM12ga ya but I'm sure that was short lived, they probably laugh about it at this point
It's only going to get worse as all of this snow melts. You're going to be a busy man!! Better get that wrecker "unwounded".
11:31 Everyone is so great here. I need to give props to Ben for being so kind, especially to the young ones. Hunter was putting himself out there and showing vulnerability, and Ben said "That stuff is soft. You did a good job." That type of affirmation goes much farther than you would think. Keep it up!
Absolutely. Paul, Ben and the rest are fantastic mentors that any teenager would be lucky to know 👍
That little roll back has been a jewel, great addition to the fleet
Ben is a better human being than I am. I for sure would have blown the horn when Paul was up inside the fender well!
The suction in the mud really helped keep it "stuck". Good job getting it out guys.
One thing is for sure, that guy put up a real good fight with the mud before he buried his truck. Good job Fab Rats for getting him loose.
Yes it's True a poor artist blames his tools. Paul this is why I like you and Ben. Yes you have your favorite but you know how to use the tool to get the job done. Great job guys. Hunter does great job filming and driving.
That was a mighty effort. A very capable wrecker and plenty of recovery experience. Well done 👏👏👏🇦🇺

Holy Mudpie Mary that is a messy missy. Good Job Fab Rats Team,😁
Not a better feeling than when you get unstuck and back on solid ground. Good Job Hunter !
The wrecker is badass gotta be the coolest off road wrecker out of all them on RUclips
Really liked that one! He was stuck pretty bad! Nice work getting him back on the road!
That was a heavy stuck rig (even without the camper)! You guys made it look easy!
That truck was suctioned in good! How fortunate to have the Fab Rats crew available to "un-suction" it. Nice work, gentlemen!
Tell Hunter to press and hold the traction control button until Stabilatrak is off! Mines a pooch unless I do that.
At 11:27 Ben's cackle. Priceless. Would like to see Hunter's reaction when he sees that.
Paul looks good in a Ford! I'm a Fabrats fan and a Ford guy!

Paul looks good in that Ford, like he belongs in one. Maybe FabRats needs a Blue Steel? :D
Was just thinking of the last time Paul yanked out an F350 with a trailer...🙄🙄😂
Yup, he did the full send on Matt’s truck at the games. I wonder if that was going thru his mind here…😉
LOVE the sound of the Tow Truck!
That tow truck you fab rats build is a absolute weapon and well done hunter he’s always willing to help.
I just love it when Hunter goes to bragging, there is a video clip of his fails! so funny!
Knocked out another excellent video, very good tow truck job done well, thank you for the great editing , keep on being number one
That is some serious stuck, and Hunter got pulled out by a square body.....😂👌 have a better week and God bless amen.
Now that was some sticky icky mud for sure... but your tow truck did it's thing! Great job paul, ben & hunter...
☕🐢
wow what a BEAST of a wrecker you have created to pull a loaded truck out of a mud hole that deep and make it look that easy .. amazing job .
A few recommendations
Put line locks in to anchor better

This ain't your first rodeo good suggestions
I have pulled one or two buried in mud / snow over the years ran wreckers / flatbed for 18 years and grew up in the towing
The tow truck is one of the best sounding exhaust notes I've heard. Pure music!
Been watching fab rats for a long time
I enjoyed their content
Love the sound of that cammed out wrecker, best sounding off road wrecker out there
Great job breaking that suction. It's all the battle in mud recoveries.
The music's kinda fun Michelle and Company. Made me smile.
Crazy awesome is the phrase that comes to mind when I see the wrecker!
Cut down doors on the squaredbody look great.

Nice job!! That boy was STUCK!! Don't ya just love mud!? Me... nope! You guys did a good job getting him out.
That’s impressive Paul was able to pick that entire truck up.
It's always good to see your cousin Hunter with you I know we're going to get some good film footage

That wasn't a mud hole, that was a crater, the right rear of the truck was down to the sills, I reckon. Well thought-out rescue, boys!
He got stuck .. then he found full throttle and absolutely mired that poor Ford! Go big or go home right?!!?
Nice recovery!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
Hey Hunter, looks like "the Ford" made it as far as you did before getting stuck, but it had a trailer. :)

Man that tow truck is impressive!
It amazes me how comfortable Paul is sitting in the tow truck with the front wheels off the ground. Lol
Agreed! I was thinking about when he was setting up the suspension during the build. That was full squish with the front axle off the ground, but no tire rub and no bent parts!

Love the repartee between the guys. Hunters truck saved the day y'all know that
Paul you look way better in that FORD. FORD power baby
You're probably going to do more recoveries like this. I would suggest adding some good shovels to the tool list.
One that fits Hunter's hands!
Not to mention traction boards maybe.
And recovery boards
Edit: I guess you can't yank a trailer backwards and I'm the dummy never having towed or been under one (sober haha)
Traction pads and a shovel would've been completely useless on a job like this. What they needed was a heavy rig like Matt's and a k-rope. They should've gone backwards too so the trailer didn't go through the mud
