You should check out the collaboration of Korn and Amy Lee from Evanescence singing this song. It’s slower, more melodic, has beautiful harmonies and is a really amazing version. Great reaction Bisscute! 🙂🤘🏻

i remeber seying this video on mtv in 1998 i was 17 years old and it blew me totally away. never ever felt like this before or after hearing a song. video and song together are a masterpiece. i was instant a big korn fan after this. never heard them before, and nu metal was new to me. i would say the first 4 albums are absolutly amazing. freak on a leash is from the third album.
The animation was made specifically for this song.. Todd McFarlane is best known for the HBO animated series "Spawn" I recommend it but it is very graphic but enthralling.

In this reaction, at 4:47, you can see bullet pierce an OLD school mobile phone at a gas pump, which is def late 1990s. The song was released in 1998. I think that cartoon beginning was made for this music video (though not 100% sure).
BTW, my favorite Korn album is "Issues" which was great end to end (esp Falling Away from Me), though my favorite Korn single is probably Evolution.

They were introduced to me by an ex girlfriend about 20 years ago, seen them play live which was amazing. They're known as Nu Metal. Enjoy and dig deeper, you'll love the hell out of them. Oh, and they're Cover of Pink Floyd's The Wall is freaking awesome.

I watched them with Rob Zombie back in 99. It's crazy to think of how big of an impact these guys had on the metal scene, and they are the reason I don't discount any new metal because I watched outsider bands (along with Linkin Park and the others of this era) become massively influential.

I was 3 or 4 when this song came out lol Jammed to it then, and I still jam to it now at 28! Always in my song rotation.

the cartoon is painted from Todd McFarlane, he was (is) famous comic book artist. well known for "Spawn". but its only made for the music video, there is no cartoon movie or something.
I have loved Korn even since I got Issues in 2000. Best band on the planet.
I only saw Korn live on their Family Values Tour in 2007 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in California, headlining with Evanescence. It was a great show!

I think you can probably hear the bass on this one! The bassist had this signature tone too, that kinda grinding sound you can hear in the choruses - it's not usually that extreme, but it was Korn's thing
This was my favorite band all through middle school and high school. The lead singer Jonathan Davis uses his voice in so many cool ways, almost like another percussion instrument. The also really lean on the slap bass which give it a different sound too. Nu metal OG for sure
This song is 25 years old. This was huge when it came out. Korn was one of the 1st nu metal bands that came out in the late 90's right after grunge ended. They were there with Linkin Park, which btw you must react to them!

Freak on a leash, I think it is how u feel like when u can't express urself because of too many feeling and emotions bubbling while also feeling like u can't express urself correctly because it would be against the norms of society :)
Korn has great songs, but be warned that a few of them are _very_ strong, the song "Daddy" made me cry a bit and made me feel very anxious
Korn's album "Issues" is 1 of my favorite albums, pretty much any song off it is great. Was my go to album when i lifted weights. 🤣

What a lot of people miss is the room Korn is actually playing in during this video is full of holes. I love the implication that they have sent A LOT of these bullets flying back in their time. Great song.

No the animation was not from a show, it was specifically made for this video by an artist Todd Mcfarland. He also did the animation for Pearl Jam's "Evolution" video, but he was primarily a comic book artist for the series "Spawn"
