Destruction of property is considered a seizure. The officer must have a legitimate reason to believe the phone is a weapon, and even then, they should take reasonable care to inspect it without causing unnecessary damage.
Even if the officer has a legitimate reason to think the phone was a gun disguised he needs to 1,
Ask for your consent to inspect the phone.
2, Obtain a warrant or court order to search the phone.
3, Use appropriate tools and techniques to inspect the phone without damaging it.
What good are the protection of rights if they aren't protected?

So I guess I don’t understand but the caption said cops caught and arrested. So far nobody’s been arrested. Nobody nobody’s been caught nothing’s happening to anybody except the poor victims. I’m not sure. I like this podcast if this is the way this is gonna go because I like to know what’s really happening. That’s why I try to catch these two crime things.
