I enjoyed the reveal. TAG slabs look beautiful. I need to make a submission. I also enjoyed your commentary and laid back, easygoing presentation. Thanks.
i agree, the detailed reports and getting rid of as much human subjectivity as possible is great, wish this was the standard for all grading companies.
Thanks for the video. The report on the right side of the screen while your looking at the card on the left, that is next level production quality. Appreciate that.
nice to know that your grade is not influenced by whether or not the grader is having a bad day. if the results are accurate and consistent, TAG is def a gamechanger. has anyone tested by breaking out a TAG card and sending it back in to see if the exact same grading results happen?
Right! ..... and I think there are some videos of people cracking a TAG card and resubmitting it and one specific video showed 1 card come back with a better grade.
Great sub and love the retro junk wax subs. Breath of fresh air. And knowing is the entire battle in grading. Awaiting for others to realize but I am all in on TAG. 🎉
Each card is unique like a fingerprint no more cracking and resubmitting. This is the future of grading because it removes the human element and is the most honest.
You have a good eye to spot out defects. My experience gradeing so far s.g c has showed me the most love with 10s. Sucks seeing all those 9s and lowers
Ive graded 50 cards with TAG and only received 3 tens. Moving forward I wont be using them anymore. They grade too harsh as if they want to create a new standard
That is a great point! 10's shouldn't be easy, but shouldn't be near impossible either. A 6% gem rate is not something that would entice collectors to send more cards in!
Awesome video and i am sending in my first sub to them today. So interested to see what the outcome is. Have lots of crossovers as well. All Marvel cards in my sub
It was $12 per card. I had another sub of Pokemon cards that was $8 per card. They used to do limited drops at special prices quite often, but I haven't really seen that happen lately.
Tag slabs look so good in my display case. Tag and PSA are by far my favorite slabs - both because of look and feel - bug Tag gets the edge over PSA as the tag label doesn't distract from the card. I also feel Tag is much more consistent. I bet you could submit those same cards back to PSA and get different grades.
TAG could really shake up the grading market. I think many people are tired of the inconsistencies. Watching this video I already love the numbered score given with the grade plus the data to compare against others of the same card.
If u resend to TAG it would fascinating to see what happens if u cracked one of these TAG cards and resubmit them to TAG (both a numbered and non-numbered card.)
I think there was a video out where someone tried it. They cracked it, resubmitted it, and it got the exact same score! I have to go back and find the vid.
That trimmed Shawn Kemp might get a 10 from GEM or BCCG. 🤣 I was starting to think TAG was an automatic grade bump from the major graders, but the last two crossovers made me feel better.
That Shawn Kemp hurt my heart! Pulled that from a fresh pack, cracked it from PSA, and TAG was like take this mess back!!! Still pleased overall with the experience!
Great Vid and Crossover Reveal! I also have used TAG for grading and love their transparency in the process. I see you have the 1000 point grade as I did with their S tier; would you consider the X ten point scale? I would definitely use TAG again but only for S not the X even though the slabs are 🔥regardless! Keep up the great work Walker!
Agreed. I was able to get in on a drop and it was for the the S tier which was 100% worth it in my opinion. I would only submit using S tier going forward as well. Transparency is the ultimate value here!!!
I feel like collectors should push to get away from psa and move to tag. I like that they explain the grade given. There is no resubmitting to try to get a true grade.
I appreciate the vid, man! Super interresting stuff. A few observations: why is the Keegan Murray a 5.5? The corners on both sides, the edges on both sides and the centering on both sides and the back surface was all nearly perfect, which makes up 7 of the 8 graded categories. The other grade category, the front surface graded a 529: so why does this one category seemingly trump all the other ones? That single category represents what the grade is. Can u, or anyone else who knows explain this? Secondly, do u know if they grade the fronts more importantly like how PSA does? Overall, it does seem that TAG is onto something big, and that we all should be using them. They do seem more precise which should lead to more accurate and consistent grades. The big concern is if it's "too good" and, thus way more strict and stingy in giving out 10's. The weird, wild, arbitrary world of grading will be fascinating to follow over the upcoming years, indeed...
Thanks! Good question, the Keegan Murray had some gunk on the surface of the card. You really can't see it that well on the video, but It was something like splotches all over it (and it was like that fresh out the pack)! I just sent it in to see how TAG would respond.
Love love love how detailed and advanced TAG's grading equipment and how transparent they are. Would personally love to use them but at times I worry about TAG grading too harshly but I'm willing to accept the card's fate under AI grading... my concern is that yiou did level up on a few cards, but what's the price differences between a PSA8 vs a TAG9? TAG still seems to get no respect and their cards are not as 'valuable' as PSA graded cards. Hopefully one day soon, TAG's cards value will be on par with PSA, BGS or even SGC.
That is a good point! The original purpose was to see how AI would grade the card versus the human approach. However when it comes to value, nothing rivals PSA simply due to their longevity in the hobby.
Do u know how the 1000 point scale converts to the 10 point scale? What gets "rounded" to what? A 948 doesn't get rounded to a 9.5? Why? Does TAG also not do 9.5's? Do half point grades have to traverse the '50 mark? Meaning, a 849 gets an 8 but an 850 gets an 8.5? If so, i find that pretty fucking nitpicky; just round an 849 to an 8.5! And, does an 876 get rounded to a 9? I see that a 875 gets rounded to an 8.5.
Good point on the rounding in relation to the 1000 point scale. I definitely need to look into that to see how it translates. Another thing that caught my attention is the new service that moves away from the 1000 point scale and adheres to the 1-10 grading scale. They still have the 1000 point scale but it is more expensive now. I think the 1000 point scale was an industry identifier that separated them from the competitors.
Did a deal then guy says i owe him for a card hes says found a better price. Once a deals done. Thats it! Deal over....dont pull balogne.....never work.
That’s a lot of wasted single use wrappers tag is forcing everyone to deal with…unless it’s biodegradable. The label would look better if it was black background or semi translucent
TAG trash..if ur going for resale. PSA is king. I've noticed u grade alotta base. Kick that my man. Ya on Min sized cards keep resending. PSA doesn't charge for minsized & they'll usually grade if resent. And with TAG who cares about transparency when the resale vakue is in the toilet. Psa doesn't tell u why ur 1991 Bowman Frank Thomas got a 9 cause they don't have time an it doesn't matter. They grade millions of cards a month. They will however give u a detailed report on why a card got the grade it did get if the value meets a certain threshold.
I agree, TAG has a LOOOOONG way to go to compete in resale value! As far as submitting base, this was my first TAG submission and I didn't know what to expect. I felt it was better to test the waters with some base versus sending in pure heat! Also I have met a ton of people in my Whatnot channels who care 100% about transparency and why cards they PC get certain grades (regardless of it being base or a short print). So it basically comes down to what's important to the collector.
@WalkerTheCollector i agree..like I said if ur not reselling then who cares. Get whatever u want graded by whomever..but at some point the cards will be sold by u or whoever inherits. Why not grade with the best & grade stuff worth grading..the hobby isn't about dumping $$ either.
I really like your catch phrase, “Collect how you live.”
I enjoyed the reveal. TAG slabs look beautiful. I need to make a submission. I also enjoyed your commentary and laid back, easygoing presentation. Thanks.
Thanks….. and you will not be disappointed with the submission process!!!
I love the transparency. I’ll definitely use them for my PC Cards.
Transparency and fairness is all we ask for!
i agree, the detailed reports and getting rid of as much human subjectivity as possible is great, wish this was the standard for all grading companies.
Absolutely! This is why I’m watching this. I’m glad I found this channel. Thanks for the content
I could watch your reveals all day long. I love your laid back vibe.
Thanks for the video. The report on the right side of the screen while your looking at the card on the left, that is next level production quality. Appreciate that.
Thanks for the feedback. I tried to do make this video more informative. Glad you liked it!!!

50th like and 351st sub let’s gooooo! Fire grade reveal man, really appreciate you popping the extra info up
Appreciate you watching and thanks for the like and sub!!!!!!
Great sub and love the retro junk wax subs. Breath of fresh air. And knowing is the entire battle in grading. Awaiting for others to realize but I am all in on TAG. 🎉
Facts, knowing is what it’s all about!!! ….. and I love getting junk wax graded!!!
Awesome submission and great video! I also am a fan of TAG
The slabs look awesome! I wonder how the TAG value holds up when reselling, versus PSA?
That is by far the biggest question that time will have to tell!
Nice stuff bud 🔥
Each card is unique like a fingerprint no more cracking and resubmitting. This is the future of grading because it removes the human element and is the most honest.
I really like the fingerprint comparison! Good call!
You have a good eye to spot out defects. My experience gradeing so far s.g c has showed me the most love with 10s. Sucks seeing all those 9s and lowers
Thanks! SGC seems to grade more consistently than PSA... and you are right, WE ALL LOVE TO SEE THOSE 10's!!!
That's a clean slab, it's thick... Ayo!
I'd love to see those cards go to PSA and see what they grade them. I do believe they control the pop on some cards for sure.
I don't want to believe it, but I do feel there may be some validity to the pop control claim.
That one 7 was nearly perfect in every way except the print lines.
Those D@^n print Lines!!! Hahaha!
Thanks for sharing this!
Thanks for taking the time to check it out! Glad you enjoyed it!
I enjoy your grading videos! Thanks for sharing. Between all the grading companies you’ve gone through, what looks the best? Thanks again.
Thanks for taking the time to check out my video. I really trust TAG the most, but PSA still commands the most resale value.
Hey bro I just wanted to take a second to say I appreciate the video. Thank you
Awesome video and i am sending in my first sub to them today. So interested to see what the outcome is. Have lots of crossovers as well. All Marvel cards in my sub
Print lines on both them lower grades. You can see the black line
What was the total cost for these cards to be graded?
It was $12 per card. I had another sub of Pokemon cards that was $8 per card. They used to do limited drops at special prices quite often, but I haven't really seen that happen lately.
@@WalkerTheCollector thanks. I think they are 20$ each card now. But I like the look & grading better then psa. Ima start grading through tag
Nice cards!
Thanks!!!!
I can see many using TAG for the in-depth analysis of several of a main card like a rookie Kobe to know which ones to send into PSA for flipping, lol.
Hey... you may be on to something right here!
Tag slabs look so good in my display case. Tag and PSA are by far my favorite slabs - both because of look and feel - bug Tag gets the edge over PSA as the tag label doesn't distract from the card. Totally agree. Inconsistencies and lack of transparency are what's driving hobbyist to want something more. TAG may be the answer!
If u resend to TAG it would fascinating to see what happens if u cracked one of these TAG cards and resubmit them to TAG (both a numbered and non-numbered card.)

Nice I'm going Tag
Nice!!!! Good luck and let me know how it goes for you.
They look good
On the bright side, that Keegan Murray is a Pop 1
Hahahaha! There is always a bright side!!!
Definitely will give them a run of my pc
Sounds good! I’d definitely like to hear how it goes for you!
Great Vid and Crossover Reveal!

Like your show. That music got to go ! Repeat REPEAT repeat
Hahahaha…. I’ll try something a little different with the next video and let me know what you think.
Looks like the Asuna issue was the corners. Meaning shimmers are good to go with Tag grading moving forward
Good call!
Your videos are great!
Glad you like them! Thanks!

Why is the rookie Lebron back centering a 991? That ain't perfect centering. Hmmmmm....
