Just watching Rockford for the first time, I grew up in a little town in Canada in the seventies and we didn't get the big three American networks and thus no Rockford. I just got the first four seasons on DVD for Christmas. I am halfway through season two and it just occurred to me that none of the women have breast implants. Awesome. They let their faces do all the talking. And you're right about the tattoos, piercings and botox. I watch an episode every morning with my coffee and toast. An awesome show, great humor, good writing, exciting car chases. My son and I work together in a kitchen so I love Jim's relationship with Rocky. It starts my day off on a good note. Jim always gets his man, and more than his share of beautiful women ha ha. James Garner is awesome. My new hero. 🇨🇦
@ Manitoba, a couple of hundred miles north of Winnipeg. We only got three channels, with a big antenna on the roof, one channel was CBC ha ha. I never saw Saturday Night Live till I moved to Winnipeg in 1983. Crazy eh? That first year in Winnipeg I saw over 200 movies in the theatre. $2 Tuesdays at the main theatres, $3 Triple bills at the second run theatre near my house, they played all the classics from Hitchcock, Kubrick etc. That was my film school haha,
@@yeleedkram Way different than my experience. I grew up in Toronto, so we had all of the Toronto/Barrie/Peterborough stations as well as 4 stations in Buffalo. We saw everything as soon as the Americans did. Good thing that RUclips lets you catch up on all that programming.
I'm halfway through season two. Totally awesome show, especially if your grew up back then. Total nostalgia. Great sense of humor. I laugh out loud at least twice every episode. 10/10
…and fat! So MANY fat women these days. Not to mention a complete lack of style, which I call “Hobo chic”. I can only speculate it being a case of modern women deliberately trying to scare men off. A form of men repellent as it were.
Besides being a super selection of actresses, James Garner was a real American hero. Purple Heart (2). Combat Infantryman Badge. National Defense Service Medal. Korean War Service Medal. WWII Merchant Marine Combat Medal. WWII Merchant Marine Atlantic War Zone Medal. Merchant Marine World War II Victory Medal. United Nations Service Medal for Korea.
I am 58. This GenXer was really raised on neglect and hosewater. I was neglected, raped multiple times, held back in school due to learning disabilities(while no help was offered) and even drugged and left for dead. "Rockford Files" was in a way my babysitter in the 1970s. The show truly helped me stay on course while I was being assaulted from so many angles. I always wanted to write Mr Garner and thank him but I just never did. To any one related/associated to Mr Garner and/or the production of the "Rockford Files", thank you for actually helping to save my life. -Rick, Lehigh Valley, PA
I am 61 and couldn't agree more. I am watching it on DVD for the first time and loving it, great old cars, great plots, a refreshing sense of humor. 10/10
Great trip down memoery lane. I know some are no longer with us, but most are still around. All so young! But Gretchen Corbett, was my favorite, those eyes, wow. I think she left the show over a contract dispute, but she was great, and probably left the business as I haven't seen her recently.
Brilliant, great compilation! That theme music is fantastic! Brings back great memories of my childhood watching Jim Rockford, Frank Cannon, and who was the guy (also a private detective I think) who was building his house in the opening credits? My dad always joked that he never finished his house building project.
Such great women. Some older, some younger, some gorgeous, some merely beautiful. And wait, was that Mariette Hartley? I didn’t realize she was ever on the show.
Way back in 1999 I was in Scotland staying at a hostel. There was a larger room for socializing with a pool table and a TV. I was playing pool with a gal from Australia and I hear The Rockford Files theme song on the TV. I was having the time of my life and one of my favorite TV shows comes on. It was kind of surreal to see a TV show I could watch at home in Los Angeles playing in the middle of Scotland. I could hear Jim Rockford solving a case as this girl from Australia beats me at pool. Good times.
I watched it before reading the description, and was all set to say, "You forgot the cutest one, a very young Blair Brown!" But you saved her for last! 😍👍🏼
Like Steve McQueen, James Dean, Paul Newman, Robert Redford, and Clint Eastwood, James Garner was cool. Always looked forward to seeing him at the Indy 500 during the month of May. The woman were hot and Mike Post theme song was a major top-10 hit.
No backwards baseball caps, baggy cargo shorts, nor clodhopper sneakers. The era when real men wore slacks, dress shirt, sport coat, and dress shoes as daily attire.
Not the best looking women of the ‘70s, but perhaps the focus was on acting abilities. Anyway, I was in grade school and loved the show. Garner was a totally cool cat.
Mariette Hartley, Veronica Hamel, Linda Evans, Lindsay Wagner, Joan Van Ark, Stefanie Powers, Diana Muldaur…to name just a few. Pure class and beauty.
NO tattoos. NO piercings. NO Botox. NO fake boobs.
True beauty.
And NO auto-tune or lip-syncing either!

I disagree, nothing wrong with men with piercings and tattoos.

One of my favourite actors. Any time one of his films airs in the UK I will be watching, irrespective of how many times I have seen it. RIP Jim
Something tells me I should have watch more of the Rockford files.

Gretchen Corbett and Diana Muldaur, my favourite American TV actresses from that era... Diana is still with us too: 97 years young !
Best Show Ever !!!❤️
My favourite actress is Diana Muldaur. Great job!!
Oh yeah

Thanks for the info on James Garner. He comes across on the show like someone who has been around the block a few times.
Great video! The music and muses were worth the while. Of course, a great homage to James Garner.

Congratulations for making it through 58 years of life! I wish you many more better years.
Good show and a great actor.
As usual, great job. Rockford was a great show and had great guests of the female persuasion. Maybe next "Riptide" ??
Best TV show ever.
Folks, that show was 1000% perfect. We so dang lucky. Thank you, thank you, thank you Jimbo.
... And that's RockFORD, not RockFISH.
@@Colorado_Native Yeah, forgot about that one. That was the Gandy character yeah? Good memory.
Remember the guy saying "what the hey?"

Real beautiful women and no Tattoos in sight.
Outstanding. Nice work!
I love this song and show and actor

Nice job! Would love a version with all the names on the screen.
I had a crush on at least half of those beautiful ladies! One of the best TV dramas ever. Garner rocked the " Rockford files" ! Great guy too.
Yes, my two favorites were Mariette Hartley and Gretchen Corbett.
@Colorado_Native Gretchen rules!
Shelly Fabares, Priscilla Barnes and Suzanne Sommers.. All So Stunning!
plus I liked that opening music for the Rockford Files🙂
He had some legendary talent as cameos, great show, I still watch the reruns, do you remember the theme tune was played on pop radio??
Fantastic collection of clips from the show, great job!!!

lovely ladies
And not a dick between them. 😂
Such great women. Some older, some younger, some gorgeous, some merely beautiful. And wait, was that Mariette Hartley? I didn’t realize she was ever on the show.
My Dads favorite show 😢
James was great but Gretchen was a mighty sweet babe.
Hello 1978!!! I’m down with it!!! ✌️😎✌️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Been watching reruns lately 👍
Erin Gray giving Jim a shoulder massage. It's a tough life Jim!
My favorite was the Firebird, bought one myself.
I watched it before reading the description, and was all set to say, "You forgot the cutest one, a very young Blair Brown!"
But you saved her for last! 😍👍🏼
I wanted to be Jim Rockford when I was a kid. The women, the Firebird, the action,,,,
Like Steve McQueen, James Dean, Paul Newman, Robert Redford, and Clint Eastwood, James Garner was cool. Always looked forward to seeing him at the Indy 500 during the month of May. The woman were hot and Mike Post theme song was a major top-10 hit.
Also, I forgot James Garner was nothing but a class act
Mr. Raider, man
And he could smell kimchi from a mile away.
He was a hothead
Yeah, he was the Man. Even my Grandma thought he was cute!😂😁👍🏾
Loved the show and theme music. You should have given the names of these beautiful ladies. I recognized some of them but not all. You did a good job.
The names are in the description.
Lynette Mettey and Erin Gray are my faves!!
Great show and great babes..But most of all made me love the pontiacs before smokey and the bandit...And they will never leave...
At 2:17, Suzanne Somers is THE most beautiful of them all! Her appearance in that season 1 episode might also be the best she ever looked on screen.
Old Jimmy had his share of good looking women! Great show.
Great video. But I think you skipped Erin Gray (from Buck Rogers) in the description. 😮
Thanks. Erin Gray has now been added in the description.
They ALL LOVED HIM 😮
Thanks for listing all their names. Are you able to have their names show in each clip?
Gretchen Corbett / Beth Davenport.
AMEN!!! Such a hottie!!!!
0:28 my goodness! The 70's the last decade of human beings.
Are those houses still there bell air filmed
Gretchen was so 🔥🔥🔥
"Well Done" W O W....lotsa memories...there......Jimmy's Cool
Kathryn Harrold😍
They don't make shows like this anymore.
A woman in a white bikini at the 0:41 mark, a brunette in a pink bikini at the 1:10 mark, these women were awesome on The Rockford Files!!
1:14 is that Lauren Bacall?
Yes indeed.
Yeah i know this was a long time ago but its a good show
Veronica Hamel, Stefanie Powers, Cinthia Sykes, Joan Van Ark, too many to name, but to me Sherry Jackson is the pinnacle of hot babe!
Oh the era of polyester starlets.
And Tom Selleck too.
Friday night was the lineup.
Shall watch later.
Jimbo was the best!
Remember the faces but I forgot the names of all but a few. 😥
Names are in the description.
A lot of these actresses would go on to appear on star trek the first series.
STTOS was well before Rockford.
TOS "Hot Alien of the Week"/Rockford Files Babe of the Week-only one missing is Kathie Browne.
When women were women.
Where did James garner lived
I think Kathryn Harold was the one that broke Jim’s heart
I agree. Also the woman in the episode, Sleight of Hand, seemed to have quite an impact on Jim.
Loved that stallion, class act
Surely he was King of the Sports Jacket.....
Who was that at 2:29
Cynthia Sikes
If James hadn't been suffering from so many injuries doing this show it would have lasted at least a few more years
Losts of eye-candy on this program.
They forgot Nancy Malone. Any others?
It's a 3 and a half minute video. You expect it to have everyone?

he was handsome ,,, and she was super beauty ,,, at 0:27 and at 2:31 .....and did i see magnum at the end ???
David Chase, before the Sopranos.
Good job but the theme song steals the show.
Nita Talbot
It cranks. Primo.
His contract stipulated that all female guest stars had to appear braless
YES many yum yums
Time machine stat
Erin Gray all the way!
SHEREE NORTH .....?
Saved the best for last, blair brown.
I like how women looked and dressed (and undressed😬) in the 70s.
TV DAMEZZZZ ...
Jenny Sherman for the win... 2:24
