Good afternoon sir, please how did you treat the birds with broken leg, I just discovered on of my 4day old chick has a broken leg. I help it to eat and drink, right now it’s on antibiotics can I give it glucose for strength?
That’s one of the most common issues we as poultry farmers encounter.
You can reduce this issue by:
Slowing the growth rate by reducing feed intake has been shown to reduce leg problems in broiler flocks. Finally, implementing good management practices such as lighting programs, good litter or floor conditions, good air quality, and biosecurity can be used to reduce leg problems in broilers.
To treat: I use Calcium

I learnt broilers from Agrited Hatchery is better for quick maturity. Now, how do i tell a day old broiler is from Agrited. I am aware of fake packaging.
You have to consult Neighboring and local farmers around for help sir.

How did you manage their poop on the brooding paper?
I’m confused in this your video then, if your video is showing us day 3 success with wood shavings as their bedding, how come you are advising day 7 for paper to be removed?
@@heleneze5978 I used I used papers on my previous badge. I didn’t use papers on this batch sir I went direct with wood shavings. Thanks.
